Bayo scores two goals on his debut, playing in a 3-5-2.
They may have been pumped 4-2 but can we really say the guy got a real chance at Celtic. Maybe he just needed a run in the team where he wasn’t playing up front himself.

I liked Bayo. The time he got two against the Jambos but Levein bitched to the SPFL and got his own boys credited for own goals. The way he closed down defenders trying to clear the ball. I though he had something different. A bit like Griffiths - doesn't conform but plays according to his own script and that's probably what NL didn't like and showed him the door. Good luck to the guy - hope he scores a barrow load for them.

It's the same old story - like with Riordan, Scepovic, Pukki, Watt, Murphy, Bangura and even Tony Cascarino, they can't handle the pressure of playing in the Hoops. No use crying over spilt milk.

3.) 29 Aug 2020 23:50:35
Would have been easier for him to get a run of games if he wasn't constantly injured.

4.) 30 Aug 2020 00:06:59
We're doing the same to Klamala it seems.

Maybe that's the business model. Take on young talent. Demonstrate a serial commitment to their neglect. Pukki?

5.) 30 Aug 2020 00:22:01
He's only on loan. If he plays well enough he could get a 2nd chance. Though I don't know if a future fee was agreed as part of the loan deal?

6.) 30 Aug 2020 07:42:09
They have an option to buy though.

7.) 30 Aug 2020 10:00:31
It's up to him if he wants to sign permanently though marco.

8.) 30 Aug 2020 10:40:47
Well after the way we have treated him I really think he will sign.

9.) 30 Aug 2020 11:00:24
Isn't his contract up at the end of this season anyway.

10.) 30 Aug 2020 11:03:31
He scored two in the french second division! He doesn't have a first touch. Was never going to be good enough for us.

11.) 30 Aug 2020 11:18:48
Wyllie - 2023.

12.) 30 Aug 2020 12:26:06
we are going on about bayo i mean come on. the biggest mistake we have made this window was not getting fletcher over the line and i know most would disagree with that but he would have been just what we needed during this spell,

Good Evening guys. I am new to the site and this is my first post.

I noticed that Edouard is again being linked with Arsenal. If Celtic were to sell him to Arsenal, or any other club, what signing could Celtic make that would make up for his departure, and still give the fans confidence of securing 10 in a row? Just looking for thoughts and opinions, though I know a lot of people would rather he was not sold.

Welcome mate.
Steven fletcher 😂.

2.) 22 Jul 2020 19:52:26
Jordan Larsson.

3.) 22 Jul 2020 20:23:39
Lewandoski and Mbappe.

4.) 22 Jul 2020 21:20:06
I think he will sign a new deal and stay at least for this season.

If Arsenal came in for him we should be accepting no less than £40M. Could do worse than demand Martinelli as part of the deal.

{Ed007's Note - They've got a left back who looks decent, we could ask for him 😁

5.) 22 Jul 2020 21:36:46
Apparently the Arsenal fans (and others) are pissin themselves at the absolute bargain price they paid us for KT; so I sincerely hope any player that goes to SLY Subsidised Soccer, goes for a more realistic fee in relation to todays overhyped market?

{Ed007's Note - Sadly it doesn't work like that, I wish it did.}

6.) 23 Jul 2020 09:24:20
Sell him to Arsenal now for 40mil and we get to keep him for this season 😁 loaned back for push for the 10.

Liamlennon absolutely spot on! Only difference between the two is game time. If Montgomery had the same amount of games as Doig, he would definitely stand out more. Let’s save our money there, and develop our own talent.

Sorry if I’m late to the party, but I noticed Romain Perruad has signed for Southampton for 11 million. Guy was linked to Celtic when at Paris FC, but transferred to Stade Brest for 1.8 million. Just goes to show there is good value out there, and good money to be made. Stade Brest are now looking to replace him with another player previously linked with Celtic, Milad Mohammidi who has also interested Nottingham Forest.

Ange Postecoglou will 100% not be the next Celtic manager. Probably end up with egg on my face, but the way things are just now, does not suggest he is being spoken or negotiated with!
Clueless as to who the manager will be though 😂.

McD1888, just came across a name that was linked with Celtic a while back, from Philadelphia Union. Brendan Aaronson, was linked alongside Mark McKenzie. Boy plays with Red Bull Salzburg now signed for just under 5million. Looks to be doing quite well too. Will likely be sold on for a profit in a few years time. Just feels like there have been a few missed opportunities of late, which brings in to question those people scouting potential signings and those that get the signings over the line.

Personally think the formation he is playing is even more concerning. 3/ 5/ 2 should be what we are playing regardless of fit strikers. Playing one up top against Scottish teams is embarrassing. Buy players to fit the formation and then mix it up in Europe and games versus the Rangers where more tactical prowess is required!

Buzz, Fulham aren’t even a mid table club. They will have a poor start to the season, the manager will be sacked bout December time in the hope another manager comes in to save them. They will then be relegated at the end of the season. From
a players perspective that can’t be a good thing, constantly having different managers. The only things that benefit a move to Fulham over Celtic, are money and playing in the Premiership. Everything else u could possibly want, you would get playing for Celtic, still with a good wage too!

There was only one change that needed to be made at half time, and that was taking edouard off and playing Kyogo through the middle! I think this would have resulted in more chances created second half and possibly a different score line. As soon as the second half kicked off you could sense a Rangers goal was coming.

I know there is a lot of chat about players not giving a sh*t last season and quite rightly, they have received a lot of criticism due to the enormity of last season. This season however it appears that those same players are now turning up. For me if a players head is not in it, then the manager should see and know this particularly if they are working with them day in day out. As such the manager should have had the balls to drop these players last season, though the bigger issue may have been the way Celtic were playing last year meant players looked poorer than what they actually were. You only need to look at this season, with the right manager playing the right way, players embrace it and if they enjoy it they ultimately play better too. Excuse the rant, but the buck stopped with Neil Lennon last year, continuing to play these players and the tactics he did. Also the board should have acted quicker too removing him.

Not to single anyone one out, but Bain’s positioning for the John Souter goal was ridiculous. When the ball comes in from the free kick it was too far out for him to come, so he should have planted himself on the goal line dead centre. If u watch the goal he was closer to the far post so when Souter headed the ball he had further to dive and ultimately failed to save it. Had he been positioned better he would have saved it comfortably. Obviously the defending was poor in that instance too, but wouldn’t have mattered had Bain been on his line!

Another name from a similar type of league is Ohi Omoijuanfo. Plays for Molde FK, and is in good form. Really think other than scouting Scotland, Celtic should be heavily scouting Scandinavia and Eastern Europe as this as good players are probably within our price range. Pick up the best players, young or old, and move on after a few years. Making profit whilst doing so. Just look at RB Salzberg and Dynamo Zagreb as similar models. They two teams are undoubtedly the best in their leagues and solid performers in Europe.
