In theory that signing on fee idea sounds good mate, but will the player really be just as motivated to play and stay with us after getting a big upfront payment? I assume the club would structure it and pay it out over the course of the contract. However, if that’s the case, why not just pay him the wages he wants because it all works out the same, no?

Our club should be targeting the recruitment of better players than we currently have.
I include every first team player in that statement, including Calmac.
If we have any aspirations of even starting to compete in Europe (CL or Europa) then this is a must.
Calmac was embarrassingly poor for Scotland at the Euros and those he was up against are the the same players waiting for us in the draw.
The supporters know it, our European results have been shocking since MON, to do anything we need to recruit players who can perform at that technical level.

To be honest Pedro. Cal Mac failed to impress a lot last season, he was abysmal apart from 3/ 4 games.
We should be actively looking for our next captain right now.

It’s a waste of time even speaking about Ndidi on here. It’s a pipe dream, his agent said it’s false anyway. Why would he want to come and play in the Scottish premier league? As Celtic fans, that’s the question to start asking yourself.
Yes we might be a massive club, but does an established premier league level player approaching his prime want to come and play a few games a season in the champions league to get pumped then travel to dens park, up at Ross county the rest of the season? forget about it lads.
