Thought benkovic was brilliant for us and was more of an out and out defender than ajer if I'm honest, only problem is he could be quite injury prone but definetely a player there if he stays fit and if we got him plus cash for ajer I don't think it would be much of a loss to us when we still have jullien, simunovic and elhamed to come back.
I like the look of that hickey boy but I just don't think there's a need for him when we have frimpong and Taylor there who have plenty of development in them, the boy wouldn't get a game for us unless there was major injuries.

bdenkovic is definitely a better defender than ajar but to injury prone we've got to many on the books but if the figures that are getting spouted are true for ajar take it and run.

Benkovic is made of chocolate just like Simunovic it must be a Dinamo Zagreb thing and to think he replaced the departing Jozo in their team when he came to us. From one sick note to another. Just read we are linked to Aleksander Vucotic. 6ft 7" left sided CB that plays in Belgium possibly Ajers replacement.

Why anyone would want benkovic over ajer is beyond me.
The guy plays less than Jozo Šimunović. he's made of glass.
As for the nonsense he's a better defender than Ajer, how come the manager that has worked with both is willing to punt benkovic and replace him with Ajer?
Does that not tell anyone anything?

Don't think anyone said they want benkovic over ajer say he's a player but not fit enough also no the way things work because a manager who's worked with 2 players is willing to sell one and buy the other so must be a better player that's that managers opinion.

Vukotic from wessel in Belgium looks like a no nonsense centre half tall and can actually head a ball and good in the tackle could be a bargain were being linked with him would like us to try keep ajer though and play him in midfield.

Ajer is a decent player but his positioning is all over the place and he struggles to stay with his man at the best of times, wouldn't take benkovic just for the sheer fact he can't stay injury free but if we do get around the 20m Mark for ajer we should take it in a hearbeat, there's bound to be decent defenders out there that would cost a fraction of that price for us.

If it were me I would be sniffing around in France or Belgium to see what bargains are kicking around there, when you consider big Jullien was only 7m the players are there.

A balde type defender wouldn't last 90 minutes on the park these days. I'd rather have a reiper, Mjällby or Valgaeren type defender.
