I think so JFP, he's one of 3 or 4 young Scottish players I feel we should go and sign as they could be at the club for years to come.
Campbell from Motherwell would be another, maybe one or two of the lads from Hibs.

Campbell not for me Pedro - I’ve never seen him impress and I think even our own youngsters are on par with him.
But I’m always happy to sign Scottish players - Doig, Nisbet and Ferguson with Hickey would be ok for me.
Then get some proper wingers and centre half’s signed.

Agree Besty. Especially if the fee is between £3M and £4M. I think that represents good value.
I thought Aberdeen would do what they did with Mckenna and stick a ridiculous value of £8M or so on him. If the player wants to go I don't see why we couldn't complete the deal. He'd definitely fancy his chances of nailing down a starting position in our current team. I also suspect that if there is Premier league interest in Calmac he could be for the off so it would be good to get Ferguson in early.

I'd like us to sign Ferguson but if the Manky Mob come in for him the force from the dark side will be too great.
At the same time, in Pedro World, (I appreciate I'm speaking in the 3rd person) , I'm hoping we're in a position where if we went for a player of Ferguson's age/ experience, he'd be a first team squad player because we'd already have signed a better player in that position in the starting 11.

I saw that Buzz. As Ed007 said a while ago the Ferguson family are not the bigots many Celtic fans perceive them to be. They're more of a football family. Barry is married to a Catholic and if we make a move and the family (who will undoubtedly have an influence) think it's in his best interests then they'll encourage him all the way.
I wouldn't rule us out if we declare an interest and if the new regime have a more positive 'get the deal done fast' approach then we stand every chance. HH.

Hi Ed, A lot of reports about Eddy to Leicester surfacing. Do you know if it's concrete atm or not? Thought perhaps we would wait until the Euro U21s are done and it may up his price up a bit more.
