I know it's super quiet just now folks so. thoughts on Adidas as our kit supplier? I think this may be the last year of our deal with them. Would you like the agreement to continue, or look elsewhare?

Me, personally liked a few of the early kits, but I honestly think we can do far better. Quality is great, but sizes used to be a bit on the big side, now people are saying this season it is the opposite. Money talks, so we will see.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who could do and pay better?
Ed showed a chart of clubs merchandise sold and the cash brought in from sales. I can't remember ours but it was a huge amount.
Adidas will be making plenty so I can see them being our suppliers for another few years.

I'd go back to Umbro in a heartbeat. I also wouldn't turn my nose up at another go with Nike. Adidas has been pretty disappointing overall.

{Ed007's Note - The quality of the Nike stuff was mostly terrible and the designs weren't much better. I'd stick with Adidas, some of kits etc they've brought out have been some of the best in years but others have been a bit hit and miss too.

Not disagreeing Steff. Just asking the question.

You folks are greatly misinformed, haven't yous heard about Castore? It's best out there by a mile! Proper catwalk stuff.

I like adidas but i thought last seasons kit was very poor. Especially the black adidas lines on the sleeves. It looked too busy for me.

Most of our fans didn’t like the home top last season but the majority of the designs from Adidas have been good.

The Quality from Adidas is always excellent and I’m hoping we can agree a new and improved contract with them from next season.

The new home top for next season is a huge improvement and just saw pic of the new yellow top that looks Decent.

Yeah, I like the new home top, back to our roots. Never fart about with the traditional hoops trying to be fancy.

Surely the quality of kits must be very poor compared to years ago. Aren’t all the kits nowadays manufactured in China, India, N Korea or some other economy that pays children the equivalent of one old penny per hour.

{Ed001's Note - no, that was Apple that used child slave labour. The pay is low compared to Western salaries, but it is high for the countries they are using. There are people who will walk hundreds of miles to get a job at these factories because the pay is high compared to other employment in those countries.}

Not disagreeing with u Ed007 but, I previously worked for a manufacturer of baby and children’s wear and during that time there was definite a different standard of product demanded by certain retailers . Marks and Spencer’s required a completely different production line, often even a different factory as their standards were higher. People who worked in quality control for the group I worked for said that nowadays standards were very uniform, with no better quality, so I wonder would standard match merchandise manufactured 40/ 50 year ago.

{Ed007's Note - What factory did Nike use to make the strips from recycled plastic water bottles or the New Balance tops that had sponsors logos falling off and stitching coming away after one wash?}
