Ed what's your thoughts on the Castagne and Janssen links? Are they players you’d like to see come in? Any truth in the links?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I'd like to see both of them coming in but Castagne will need some persuasion to come to Scotland and I was told by someone down south there's nothing in the Janssen link and that he wasn't at Celtic Park last week or whenever it's meant to be.}

That’s a shame Ed I think they’d both be good signings too. Hopefully these are the types of players we have been looking at and not the likes of McKenna and Shankland!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't see Aberdeen letting McKenna leave in January unless it's a crazy money bid and Mr Lawwell doesn't like making crazy money bids, I have heard murmurs that Hendry will be offered in any deal for McKenna in the summer.
I really don't see why we would have any interest in Shankland and again Ayr don't want to sell in January.}

I really hope we don't go after him he's not that great a defender. Largely at fault for Edouards goal.

He's a cart horse. Ad rather keep and try develop hendry.

Not going to lie braverart86 edouard is clumsy as **** and greedy at times. not the final article whatsoever but that was a magical finish. And credit where it’s due.

Not a lot between Hendry and McKenna other than McKenna is more physical and Hendry is better on the ball. McKenna slightly ahead as he's had more game time of late in a less pressurised environment. Imagine if Edouards goal was other end and it was Hendry that failed to clear his lines against Aberdeen, he'd get crucified.

I think he'd be worth a punt if on a free or a minimal fee but he's not worth any serious money.

Not really celebrated Xmas this year, and not been on this much, but I hope everyone and their families had a great one, and I hope 2019 will be another treble, and a great year for you all. What would everyone's team be for the skudding at the crumbledome? And do you have any transfer rumours? I've seen about weah, and castagne, other than that I haven't been keeping up to date. Thanks.

All the best fifetim, this time of year can be hard especially when things are as recent like your situation. Hopefully get you back on here and the live chat for some banter.

My team on Saturday although it won't be.
Bain
Lustig
Boyata
Benko
Hayes (if no Tierney)
Forrest
Ntcham
McGregor
Christie
Sinclair
Eddy

Think Broony will probably play instead of Ntcham and Gordon will play. Would prefer to see McGregor in Broonys position.

For me broony has to play. This will be a war in the midfield and he's our best warrior.

100% Broony over Ntcham. These are the games he thrives in whereas Ntcham has been well off it all season.

I agree to a certain extent but I think McGregor is more effective dictating the play. We have far more footballing ability in the middle of the park so no need to be dragged into a war. I'm sure Broony will play and I won't be too disappointed if he does, we"ll beat them comfortably either way. 😁.

Cheers everyone, and agree Kev, we need broonys experience.

I'm hearing the player that was at the game last Wednesday being "wined and dined" was Vincent Janssen of Spurs.

It might have been yourself bravetart but the only mention I've seen of a player being given the treatment was a post on here a few days ago. Did you read it somewhere or just a heads up?

Jyst read that bravetart could be a decent bit of business.

Someone mentioned his name a week or so ago.

Definitely the calibre of player we should be targeting 👌.

I mentioned about a week ago a Spurs fan mate of mine from North London messages me to say Celtic were in discussions with Spurs for Janssen. Maybe he was right.

Celtic have denied it according to reports.

Would be in keeping with how we do business.

Perhaps not it would seem. But there seems to be a lot saying someone was there at the Motherwell game but who? 🤔.

Tim Casgne, Belgium full back.
Can't say I know much about him buy on paper sounds like a good signing.
Good experience and has recently broken into a good Belgium team.
Anyone seen him play?

27 Dec 2018 12:08:01
Never seen him play, anyone in the Belgium squad has to be decent though. So for that reason I'd be quite happy with the move, someone that you would think can come in and improve the team right away 👍.

Decent player. Plays wing back on either side. An upgrade on Lustig in my eyes. He looks like he's got much more of an engine and looks better technically. At 23 he's still got plenty of time on his side.

He played against Scotland but can't say I got to see much of him from behind the couch.

Reports saying he would prefer England or Germany so that’s us out the equation.
