You been over on the Rangers site, not one of them has a clue what they're talking about aindoh. It appears the injury is a hernia - as KT had stated. Not his hip (bones) , its a muscle that's weak across that region.
I "suspect" a inguinal hernia, common in sports, over use or excessive weight lifting on the muscle, without an appropriate warm up or recovery period can put strain over a weak part of the muscle and cause herniation.
This is a guy that the club values at £25million (I would say the best player to put a celtic strip on since the likes of Larsson) .
He'd have been treated with top specialist surgeons for this procedure. He'd have the best recovery programme developed alongside the surgeon, a world class physio who deals in hernia injury. Then all that information passed to club doctor, physio and sports science and rehab team.
Trust me KT will have the best chance of a 100% recovery from this injury long term. I just suspect he won't be with us long term.
But for 25 plus the add ons, I'd say long term for our club would be good business.

Patrick Roberts is a good winger, but not a great winger, he is a good dribbler, but I feel like the younger ones watch him and are mesmerized, because they are not used to someone holding onto the ball and going past three or four opponents, there are better players out there, this new about to be signing, will probably make all the Roberts groupies take down the pictures of Patrick they have up on their bedroom walls.

Bit harsh on paddy i would say, he was lighting up la liga with his last few performances before he got injured, i think people are used to seeing players beat 2 or 3 men but he had the final product as well something that players like mcgeady always struggled with, hopefully shved is up to paddy standards because if he is were in for a treat.

When you think about it the Celtic team that won in Lisbon, had maybe two world class players in Jimmy Johnstone and Bobby Murdoch, and then 4 international class players and then the rest were good honest journeyman guys that you could rely on to do their job, but they had a manager, that they believed in, that they respected and they would follow his instructions, that inter Milan team were full of the Neymars and the Messis of the time, but Celtic out psyched them, out thought them and out played them.
PSG are nowhere as good as Inter were, and Celtic are nowhere as good as the Lisbon guys, but the thing is, if PSG play to their maximum and Celtic play to their best and throw away their inhibitions, PSG are there for the taking, pride comes before a fall, and they are so full of themselves, they are going to fall a long way.

Sorry aindoh but if psg play in 3rd or 4th gear they will still beat us comfortably. If they are at their best then it'll be damage limitation for us. We need to play out of our skin and hope they don't turn up to get anything.
I think it's crazy to try and compare this match to our finest hour. This psg team are full of super talented footballers whereas that inter team were full of defensive minded footballers with the mindset of winning every game 1-0. 2 completely different teams.
Also it's wrong to compare both eras matches as there is a far greater gap between Celtic and psg now than Celtic and inter in 67.

When I was a young lad my old man used to get a cabbie called Jim to drive myself and my brothers home to my mums some Sundays. Great auld boy, he talked endlessly about celtic and he had an old clapped out cavalier that other drivers marveled at the miles he got out of it. anyway he said there was lads at that time that turned down professional football contracts for danger money down the pitts.
That one statement says it all. No matter how good our team could of been in the last 10/ 15 years if players stayed, the point is that the lisbon team with today's money would of been dismantled and our history wouldn't exist. Why don't we go back to developing our own youth, why don't we put any excess money back into our own footballing clubs and communities around Scotland, regardless of who or what clubs or religions they support, and use those clubs and communities as feeder systems for our own youth systems, forget about being a stepping stone to get into the premier league, instead become the first rung in the ladder instead of the second one, in other words, the only signing we need is a first team goalie, the rest will handle themselves, we just have to accept that it won't be sunshine and roses all the time, we have to be able to accept defeat.

The Scottish system is broken and I wouldn’t recommend that Celtic waste anymore money in Scotland.
Not until they bring back a reserve league at least.
I would however spend more money developing youth talent abroad.
Maybe a Celtic school in Africa Etc.
It’s a shame for our local talent but Scottish football needs to get its act together because the quality is getting worse every season.
I think it deteriorated more in the last few seasons, since they stopped the reserve league and it’s hindered young progressive talent.
It also stopped preventing good young talent from coming to Scotland because the player will not progress playing in this Country.

While I agree we should be bringing youth into the first team squad and again agree we should be snapping up domestic talent that talent will want to go to a better league at some point in their career.
We could have made healthy sums from the likes of McGinn, Ferguson, Hickey and Doig after a few years with us. Its been mentioned before but some European leagues are an affordable market for us wages and transfer wise. The policy is bonkers at the moment. We waste an enormous amount of money on duds. I'm curious to see if the one or two that make it and are sold on for good money actually make us a good profit overall. Brendan has came into a championship winning team and turned them into a team that struggled for most of the season, the Kilmarnock and St Mirren managers would have been fighting it out for manager of the year in my opinion.
