The rumour was started from an account with the name Stephen McGowan.
But it was mistaken for the journalist with the same name.

That isn't going to happen. I am more concerned that it's 15 days I to the window and we still haven't moved for at least one CB. probably haven't found one at £3m who will be loaned out in the summer. Absolutely pathetic. But, it's the way we roll.

I think the board will privately have written off the league in the same way any logical Celtic fan has. Lennon will keep his job until the summer. I won’t be surprised if he’s been told that winning the cup, win atleast one derby and getting the deficit to single digits will see him given another year.
Clearly has a good relationship with Lawwell, and will always be a yes man to him. That’s what Lawwell wants in a manager. assuming he’s still in charge next year (which I suspect he will be) .

Also think the board are content to lose the league as long as the south sliders are beaten a few times a year, that did and probably still satisfies a portion of the support
I don’t see the desire at board level to challenge at Europe CL level. it isn’t business sense for them when the costs to compete and the cost benefits are compared. they will still sell season tickets either way. Appreciate this isn’t the fans view. this is the inherent problem, with the south sliders absense and required re build there should have been no way the gap could have been closed. A decision was made IMO at board level to do just enough to stay ahead, the south sliders were underestimated and investment was withheld. Correcting this slide and reversing it would take bottle both in financial terms and personnel decisions. do the board have that bottle, cos the sliders are only going to get better, I don’t know. The fan base wish they had but based on the decisions made in the past I doubt it.

I would rather us just sack Lennon now. Get rid of all the players who don’t want to be here like edouard, Christie, ntcham and others now and start building. But the thing that’s going to happen is that Lennon will get sacked in the summer all them players will leave which will give us no time to sort a squad out for European qualifiers and be left short again.
