Moussa's comments last night about the team getting a result make him sound pretty settled at the club. He has had a couple of up and down games recently but he does seem to be pretty happy at the club. Imagine we'll get a fair bit of speculation over next month about him (and Joe Garner of course)

he came out and said that he is here for yrs, even if a massive bid came in a don't think lawell would sell, don't think he'd get away with it with BR. but saying that, am i the only one that thinks he's went off the boil the past few wks?

Welt us enjoy Dembele the same way as we enjoyed Larsson and not be dreading his departure at the next window . Dembele may never reach H L's standard but let us appreciate his ability worry free.

money talks for lawwell, if he gets offered silly money for dembele or any other player for that matter he will take it, no matter how much the fans want a player to stay.

Does anyone know when our games in hand will be played?

this month, all the games should be level before the winter break. except Aberdeen after the floodlight failure.

Sure we'll still have one game in hand after we play the tribute act mate.

Is anyone else peed off with all this talk about us going the whole season unbeaten? We're good enough to do it but surely it's just giving the haters something to gloat about if and when we do slip up and have an off day. It'll probably happen somewhere. HH.

think i'm in the minority bob but honestly don't care if we do it or not.

These kinda 'records' end up putting pressure and stress onto players and supporters, where relatively easy games become more and more difficult if we don't get that early goal, or have a setback or two and its counter productive.
It's much more important to play well, enjoy ourselves and see what we have achieved at the end of the season.
We are in tremendous shape, with the best players in Scotland - playing the best football for tears - and a tremendous points advantage in the league, with another cup to play for and that is good enough for me.

14 Dec 2016 12:16:27
It speaks volumes that us losing a game in Scotland would give others something to cheer about. We're capable, it would be fantastic, but there's a long way to go and not doing it would be so far from a disaster that I don't think it should be drummed up either.

Agree1 Disagree2

14 Dec 2016 15:43:48
I would normally agree, but in this case with games being played mainly in second gear it can also act as a bit of a motivator as well as just putting needless pressure on players. I do agree though that although a lot of us may be quietly thinking it we shouldn't have people talking about it in papers ect.

14 Dec 2016 16:09:07
I'm in the don't care camp. Was thinking about this a couple of weeks back, with the likely gap (chasm? ) between us and second by the start of the year, I wouldn't be overly annoyed if we dropped points experimenting with systems and fringe players. Wrapping up the title and bedding in new signings/ developing systems that will put is in good stead for Europe next year are far bigger priorities than a treble or an undefeated season.

Agree1 Disagree1

14 Dec 2016 16:51:41
Would be a great achievement no doubt about that. I'd be more impressed with the treble tho that has to be the main target for me.

Lennon got dog's abuse in certain forums, for trying to remain unbeaten until end of season . I always want Celtic to win and am very bad company when we lose domestically, so I would want the unbeaten season and more.

I absolutely hate that talk.

Its all faux hype by the Meejits
(media eejits - TM Digibanger Inc. )

Its like a mic appears and they say, will you win the Treble, Quadruple - then the same feckin mic appears after we loose 1-0 away to eg Inverness on a wet Tuesday in the cup immediately after a Friday night in Aberdeen in the league with a win.

They always ask all teams this tho - its just the usual pish.
Good writers write books,
okay writers write in the papers,
mmmheh writers write blogs (sorry eds)
shite writers write posts like this
and then there is Scottish sports writers.
what's lower than shite?
Why did Traynor suddenly jump into my mind!

It would be great to do it, but any team to go unbeaten is extremely unlikely.
And in a mangers first term, unrealistic for me.

Enjoy each game, some great football being played.

15 Dec 2016 17:27:54
Treble for me any day.

Have to be honest tho if it gets to the 30 odd games and still unbeaten it would be nice to go for but not a priority.

If we get to 30 domestic games unbeaten the league will be virtually won . Should
B R try for an unbeaten season or should he rest up stars to prepare for short summer break due to E Champions league qualifiers . Thus given squad members decent opportunity to show their ability .

Loving the football being played at the moment. That performance last night reminded me a lot on how German teams play. Fast and direct passing and very energetic up to the last ten minutes. Inevitably, Hamilton decided to throw players forward at the end but we coped well apart from a couple of tired looking relapses. Griffs had a great game and looked to be on his best behavior. Not bad night at the office but 1-0 is always a bit dodgy for the sucker punch.

Are you sure you weren't on the German beer as last night was a poor performance. Yes we could have won by more but it was below par from everyone except Roberts imo. We will have games like that in all seasons but main thing we won and we move on to Saturday and will probably get a better performance from the team.

Last night there were a few off the boil and we made a bit heavy weather against an opponent that came to defend with ten behind the ball - hoping not to get hammered.
It wasn't our usual high standard and the system seemed to stifle Rogic and Armstrong until later in the game and showed why BR rarely plays two up front?
Dembele really needs a wee break and with Tierney, Sinclair and the Forrest coming back, maybe a couple can take a rest before the winter break - when they can all recharge the batteries in preparation for the run-in.

I was on Coors last night Jim! I didn't say it was a brilliant performance but we have most definitely improved under Brendan Rodgers. There looks to me a real team mentality going on. I admit that there was a lot of huff and puff without much of an end product but the passing game Brendan is working on is mostly coming off. We are not the finished product, not by a long way but there are mostly positives about our style of play. If we get some quality in place after January then we should hopefully have the treble winning team in place ready for the CL qualifiers. Good times ahead!

I wasn't too happy with last night's performance . LG, M D, and SA were all too careless in front of goal . The referee was definitely anti Celtic and I thought he deprived us of two penalties . First half I thought Roberts was taken down and in a secondary movement defender got a touch on ball . Near the end L G was dragged to ground and ref wandered up and gave free out . In fact in last 15 mins or so with Celtic only one nil up ref gave numerous frees to Hamilton and tried to not give any to Celtic

The over- all feeling I had after last night's game was fine we won but if we played the same way on the 31st we probably only win by two or three goals.

Ibrox will be intimidating. It will be a tough fixture. They don't lose there Old Bhoy ( 32 and counting I'm told )

They will kick and snarl and rush and get the stadium jumping. This is there cup final and a chance for some long lasting winter cheer

So complacency in that fixture is the enemy as would be a lack of intensity

With a good referee and good discipline and the right mentality we win because we're better BUT Ibrox is nonetheless a challenging venue

I see high kicks and elbows and diving and cheating., for them it will be ANY WAY and ANY HOW and BY ANY MEANS

If they drop points per 31st and lose to CFC I can see a change in bread delivery personnel
BRs popularity on the other hand would go stratospheric with a romp in their backyard.

Them game on the 31st is between a good all round team with good back - up players for most positions . This team Celtic is well coached fit &swell capable of changing tactics . We play a Rangers team, made up of sub standard footballers, signed as out of contract players from lower league teams . Players in their mid to late 30's who in their own minds had retired and always injured unwanted players in late teen& early twenties .
This match should be no contest, but in Scotland nothing is simple and referees have eyes in the back of their heads and complicate things for Celtic . We should win easily but u never know.

15 Dec 2016 22:44:44
that is what I was getting at Tompo88…. this will be a one way blood fest IMVHO with Rangers deploying hammer throwing tactics in the hope that the crowd will intimidate the ref…. and the ref will turn many many blind eyes …

they can't get close to us on a straight head to head, and so you'll see kick and rush and nips and dives and everything that football shouldn't involve

this is just my view / feeling of why awaits us

but to win there handsomely would be a great statement.
