Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone. The usual Tierney to Celtic pish has started again, just a question would anyone take him back? I would be tempted on a pay as you play basis. I am sure that would really show how much he really loves Celtic!

LetsGoBrandon

He would tell us to oke it and rightly so.

2.) 07 Jun 2024 14:10:35
No from me Brandon. Same goes for Édouard, Armstrong, Foster or any other ex players ?.

3.) 07 Jun 2024 15:47:45
I get where you are coming from GC however if they could still do a job then might be worth a look.
Age is a factor which would rule out Forster plus if he wanted to be here again he had a few chances and declined.
Armstrong at 32 is interesting as he might be a rock for a few seasons but his best may be behind him.
French Eddy would be a good signing again but not for 20 million quoted so that rules that out.
Tierney would have his own treatment table written into his contract so unless he stuctured a pay as you play contract then nope from me.
Rarely has a returning player worked for Celtic.

4.) 07 Jun 2024 16:16:49
The new robbie keane rumour! Lol.

5.) 07 Jun 2024 16:33:54
Would you take your mrs back if she cheated? Jesus wept!

6.) 07 Jun 2024 17:06:37
If the wages were right and he can stay fit Tierney would be an outstanding signing. Would be a big upgrade on Taylor or scales.

7.) 07 Jun 2024 17:28:54
No from me, the boy is too injury prone and I don't like bringing old players back as it seldom works out.

8.) 08 Jun 2024 13:02:58
As usual, I'd deem these 'stories' of ex players being 'on the radar' as the work of fiction.

No foundation whatsoever.

Should Sevxo's goal stood yesterday? Watched it again and Sterling (? ) Was climbing all over taylor at the back post using him (with arm around his neck and on his shoulders) to get height to head the ball back in to the center of the goal. Was surprised that unlike any goal that Celtic score was not put under any scrutiny by VAR at all.

LetsGoBrandon

{Ed007's Note - VAR did check it, they checked all the goals yesterday, even the OG.}

1.) 12 May 2024 17:28:32
Their check was the quickest one.

2.) 12 May 2024 17:30:28
He used Taylor like a Monkey Puzzle.

3.) 12 May 2024 17:44:07
It's amazing how many people don't realize every single goal is checked by var.

4.) 12 May 2024 18:19:20
Mentioned yesterday that out of all the VAR checks the Sevco goal took the shortest time whereas MOR's penalty took nearly 4 minutes.

5.) 12 May 2024 18:45:56
Taylor is THE weak link in our defence, both him and Scales would be decent back ups but in order for us to seriously move forward as a team, we require an upgrade at CB and LB.

☘️ ? ☘️.

6.) 12 May 2024 18:54:25
I didn't have an issue with the penalty as I kept changing my mind, although I came to the conclusion that it was a penalty as he stopped MOR from having a shot.

7.) 13 May 2024 00:57:17
I could very well believe that VAR examined in detail the goal that was awarded to Sevco . The fact that the VAR official has close links to the Ibrox clubs, may explain why he saw nothing amiss.

8.) 13 May 2024 12:48:07
There were two main reasons why we conceded our goal on Saturday. First Rangers got a 2 to 1 situation on A J ‘s side of defence . That just shouldn’t be allowed to happen . It was relatively easy for the Sevco player to get an almost inch perfect cross from his position and the time he had .
2nd was that Sevco player had his arm over G Taylor’s shoulder in an illegal move to prevent Taylor jumping properly and maybe prevent header back across goal .
Why are so many Celtic supporters better at knowing certain Celtic players abilities than experienced managers like N Lennon, Ange and BR . These successful Managers have won Trophies galore with G Taylor at left back . We have no sure knowledge that anyone of them made a real attempt to replace him and he has been first choice for 5 and a half yrs and has even represented Scotland in full Internationals.

Just wondering who our away games will be after the split? Kilmarnock and Hearts seems to be the consensus. Would it not be Kilmarnock and St MIirre as we have already played Hearts 2 times away already and St Mirren once away.

LetsGoBrandon

1.) 10 Apr 2024 14:30:38
Deffo killie ?.

2.) 10 Apr 2024 15:54:26
It will be whoever they think will be the most difficult.

3.) 10 Apr 2024 16:40:44
Any fucker with a plastic pitch they can find!

4.) 10 Apr 2024 17:04:00
Wouldn't be surprised if there's plenty of grass in both the SPFL and SFA boardrooms.

5.) 10 Apr 2024 17:31:50
Definitely would have to be Killie and St Mirren as we've only played them both once away.

6.) 10 Apr 2024 19:35:33
The six games we have left will all be difficult but none insurmountable and starting with ST Mirren in Celtic Pk we have to take each game as it comes and treat it as the hardest game we have left this season . From now on nothing else matters, just our next game.

A good result today, I was only able to follow the sky sports commentary on the game page which sucked. So didn't get to see any of the action! I see that Holm got a run out today, any news on how he got on?

1.) 16 Mar 2024 20:02:33
Also, who went to CB when CCV came off?

2.) 16 Mar 2024 20:25:00
Tomki but think Brendan realised it was not his natural and brought on a pint of lager, sorry man can’t pronounce his name due to being blootered.

Can someone confirm that the first penalty on Wednesday was for the headclash on AJ or the use of an arm following Bernardo's follow up shot? Because ref pretty much blew after seeing the shot stopped by the defender.

1.) 09 Feb 2024 16:12:41
I thought it was for the head knock and that’s the first I’ve read or heard about any handball.

The peepul keeping mentioning that Johnston was offside when the free kick was took but it doesn’t matter because the ball went over him and it was headed by Scales at the back post.

They like to change the rules of the game to suit.

2.) 09 Feb 2024 17:08:14
Yeah I know the mutants are in melt down, so I thought I would watch the incident again and notice the handball and thought it was strange ref didn't point to spot immediately after the AJ incident and the handball he blew immediately.
Unless he was playing advantage from what looked like a shocking headclash (which I think is pretty dangerous to not blow up straight away when he went to ground)

The ref will still be able to break up play by awarding needless free kicks to opposition as these decisions won't be up to VAR.
VAR won't take referee's interference out of the games.
I don't see that anything will change same referees on both sides of the VAR.

Foreign referees is the only answer!

Is it 10 years that a player is due a testimonial? Maybe a good way of maybe big last payday as a signing on fee from a free transfer?

VAR never seems to take its time after Sevco goals though! I don't know if the delay aftrr the first goal was the smoke cannister or combing through the play to find any reason to disallow the goal. But sevco goal was straight to the middle after one of the sevco players climbing all over Scales with his hands on his shoulders, but no, all good to go!

Difference with BFKB is that shanker has actually scored against Celtic. I think BFKB only scored once when playing for Killie?

I think it is time for Celtic to move on! don't know where to though but anywhere will be better than this! There is never ever going to be a level playing field for them in Scotland! The best way to get the SFA to take action is take away their biggest game / rivalry! Sky will not be interested if there is no Celtic v Sevco game and the money will disappear totally! Remember how they were desperate to get sevco into the premier league and how they predicted Scottish football would collapse without them?

I know this is a stupid idea but nothing is ever going to change, well maybe a 3rd team pretending to be Rangers will be a good laugh to start with.

The jota one was the one where they justified it by saying he was in an offside position when he RECEIVED the ball. That was the one wasn't it?
