Was at the game tonight and as mentioned first half poor, second half much better. Good to see CCV back first and foremost, few other players did well. Scales was solid enough but I reckon he is a squad player at best.

Shocking performance away from home in the CL. Mcgregor for me is never a CDM always gets shown up against class teams. As for the defence was there any?
We need to set up more defensive in away matches against these good quality CL teams.

I still live in hope we will make signings, however I can almost hear the excuses getting dusted off.

For all the good things the club does in other areas, the recruitment and timeous signings of required players in key positions definitely needs improvement.
I can remember very few of these 'windows' when we got all our business done early and were totally satisfied and prepared and settled for the season ahead.

Aye, 2 days left and we're no further forward than we were in May in terms of quality in squad. In fact we've regressed with MOR away. May be enough domestically but another CL battering awaits. I was all for some patience a few weeks ago but admit it's squeaky bum time.

I think we can all agree this is going to be a huge week for us, let's hope the board have the balls to back the manager and bring in the quality we so want to see brought in.
I have hope we will see it, they must back Brendan.

So we are approaching the final week or so of the transfer window. I would love to see us sign the following.
LCB, RB, 2 x CM, ST.
5 players, surely we can do that.
Best of luck to MOR when he goes, he has been a joy to watch and I think he will only get better, let's hope we add a decent sell on percentage. Because he will definetely be worth a lot more than 25 million in the future.

As usual, I am not very confident that we will improve the quality of the squad as much as we all want as the time ticks away.
Right now I think the Board will be back slappingly content over Shmeichel, Bernardo and Idah and we will be lucky to see one more signing and a loanee.

Augsburg only doing to us what we did to other teams with MOR. We did not budge until a team met our valuation of MOR.

Would love to see the boy Engels signed, however I think this would mean MOR is away. Would prefer MOR to stay for one more year, however Atalanta seem determined to sign him.

We need a CB better than CCV. Scales should be backup along with Rocki, although he is having no luck with injuries. Welsh and Kobayashi can both go, simply not good enough.

I agree we are not anywhere near Dortmunds level, but surely going away and playing a team we know are superior to us and playing 4-3-3 is surely asking for trouble.
Rodgers has to have a plan B in big European games against these calibre of opponents.

All the team where superb to a man. Bernardo was the standout for me with Kyogo a close second.
Khun also looks much improved since last season, I know he had that dental issue.
