Although I would love to see Idah back, I just don't think it will happen.
I heard that the loan was rushed through that quick that we didn't have the time to include a future fee so Norwich could start a bidding war.
I'm sure a few champoinship, bottom end EPl and even a few forgein clubs will have taken notice and will blow our offer out the water.
I hope i'm wrong and he comes back but its purely down to the boy if he is looking for a huge pay day or medals. It could also come down to the promise of minutes compaired to sitting on the bench.

Now with Bernardo I heard that the £6m fee that was written into his loan deal includes the loan fee we paid so we will only need to pay about £4.5m, we need to get that deal done ASAP if the boy is happy to come back.

Celtic need better than Bernardo.

Bernardo only played 27% of our league minutes this season.
Which is slightly over 10 full league matches from a possible 38.
It’s not enough for the transfer fee being talked about.

He had a move agreed to somewhere in Italy and we hijacked the move, the fee they had agreed was apparently 4m euros.

I think if we sign bernardo that he will come onto a game season 2. Just like French Eddy did.

I should have stated that was Idah that had a move all agreed for 4m euros I think it was to Verona.

I, thought the reason Celtic were able to loan Idah, was because an Italian side and Norwich were haggling over agreement of Loan . Norwich were not happy with the loan, having a right to buy attached, or else the amount Italian club should be agreed for Idah after loan, As Transfer window was coming towards end Norwich agreed straight forward loan with Celtic.

Sorry Buzz but I disagree,
The boy was involved in 33 games this season and never let us down once when. he played, he was also trusted by the manager in the CL games.
At 22, he will only get better and we will eventually make a lot more back than the fee we will pay.

Surely Bernardo isn’t the finished article. Statistics can sometimes be very helpful when considering whether to buy a certain player or not .
However, in the case of Bernardo, apart from some private statistics and record keeping concerning work-rate heart rate and other since readings, Celtic would have no need for statistics as BR and his fellow coaches are able to observe everything that they need to know about a player . They will know if he is a good trainer if he arrives punctually and appears sober &well slept and anything else that BR would need to know in making a decision whether Bernardo was likely to improve or remain the same over the upcoming years.
