I watched the World Cup final in Manchester yesterday and at the half time they were showing celebrating fans from around the world when there team scored a goal. These two manc wallopers beside me said Ingaylands celebrations were the best because there was more beer in the air.

On his day Sammy was unplayable and he gave us some great moments but he didn't have his day often enough. Scored some important goals and some excellent ones but was never consistent enough. Averaged 1 goal every 4 games or thereabouts and for me Griffiths is by far the better striker. HH.

2.) 16 Jul 2018 14:45:36
always have good memories of sammy he loved playing for the bhoys.

3.) 16 Jul 2018 17:39:59
If Sammy could have been consistent he could have went to the top of the game. Just couldn't do that.

4.) 17 Jul 2018 09:22:37
His career went downhill after he won Eurovision!

Croatia top off and Shkupi top on. c'mon let's have a treble of good results this week.

1.) 12 Jul 2018 12:08:10
Are the huns playing in skins?

2.) 12 Jul 2018 12:43:20
Naw, bibs Viking. Orange ones tho to keep the hoardes happy.

3.) 12 Jul 2018 17:47:17
Let's hope 'Shkupi-do' them, then.

4.) 12 Jul 2018 17:59:58
Unfortunately don't think even the Sevies could lose to this mob. Going by the odds they must be equivalent to the likes of Montrose.

5.) 12 Jul 2018 18:11:02
O a b. that was nearly funny.

6.) 12 Jul 2018 22:06:02
Think shkupi could give them a game on there own turf. And they will again cement the undead as the laughing stock of world football.

Today, tomorrow and Tuesday I will mostly be praying for Croatia ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ท.

1.) 08 Jul 2018 14:28:50
Me too ged, ANYONE but England, the ITV and BBC coverage is embarrassing to non-England supporters. I've nothing against the players and I think Southgate comes across as a decent fella but their media is fekkin annoying. 1966, it's coming home, our boys are warriors etc., I've just about had enough of them. HH.

2.) 08 Jul 2018 14:35:09
Never mind 66 bob, just think of 67 and the style the Lions played with, everyone knows what the best achievement was.

3.) 08 Jul 2018 14:49:56
Iโ€™d agree bob, itโ€™s def not the manager, he comes across as decent to be fair. I donโ€™t even mind the ex players that much but itโ€™s the actual non football commentators that drive me crazy. Even my mrs said they drive her crazy and sheโ€™s only in the room reading a book ๐Ÿ˜‚.

4.) 08 Jul 2018 15:39:58
BBC numpty said we are here till Wednesday at least. So the play off on Saturday will only have one team taking part if Ingayland get beat.

5.) 08 Jul 2018 16:55:18
The media are an embarrassment down there and so are the sevco fans supportung them.

6.) 08 Jul 2018 18:42:39
If only Scotland had had a manager like Southgate, picking the on form players, regardless of age or experience, not relying on older, more experienced, loyal previous squad members, Scotland might have gotten to Russia too.

7.) 08 Jul 2018 19:20:02
Southgate may be a nice man, but he and England have had all the luck going.
They were handed an easy group where they qualified for the knockout stages by beating 2 pub teams. Then by losing to the only decent team in the group were rewarded by finding themselves in the easier half of the draw.
England are nowhere near being the best team in the tournament, but good fortune is taking them a long way. I just hope that any one of Croatia, France, or Belgium can do the business against them and shut them up.

8.) 08 Jul 2018 21:18:46
gerryc, I'm not defending them in any way but the majority of the so called 'big teams' have all gone home and have been leaving steadily since the group stages. Yes England have been somewhat lucky but everyone else has helped them on their way by playing shyte football so what are they supposed to do? HH.

9.) 08 Jul 2018 21:40:35
And Croatia have just had extra time game, so that should be to England's advantage, then Belgium and France will battle each other to a standstill, and be completely knackered for the final, yes, it could happen, England might not be in the top six best teams at the world cup, but they could win it.

10.) 08 Jul 2018 21:43:18
But I fancy Croatia, to beat England, then to go on and win the world cup.

11.) 08 Jul 2018 22:03:35
Croatia will beat England, Iโ€™m pretty confident.

12.) 08 Jul 2018 22:16:06
Bob the cat. England could reach a World cup final without having to face the likes of Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, or even Uraguay. Granted a couple of those teams under performed but to go through a tournament and manage to miss any of those teams is a massive stroke of luck which will probably never happen again.

13.) 09 Jul 2018 06:43:47
Sometimes you need luck
We would take s slice of it in the CL group stages.

Players wages gone up with new contracts. We also need to get rid of the dead wood who take big wages too. I would rather the books were balanced.

Callum our most successful manager is not Brendan. 1888 not 1998.

Donโ€™t think Brendan likes him or he has someone else in mind. Maybe John Terry.
