Reports are suggesting Celtic are planning fresh contract talks with Ryan Christie.
I don’t think Ryan wants to stay under the current management team but he could be open to signing, depending on who the new manager will be.
Ryan will be entering his last season under contract which means Celtic won’t get much of a transfer fee for him.
I think it would be a good piece of business if we could get him to sign an extended contract.
Ryan is at a good age of 25 and he will continue to improve.
It’s been a poor season for Christie, similar to the majority of his teammates.
Being played out of position on the right to cover Forrest hasn’t helped his case and has resulted in Ryan only scoring 2 goals from inside the box from open play this season.
Normally Christie would be scoring goals galore with well timed runs into the box.

Headless chicken who has hit the target with less than 5% of his shots this season. Which is amazing considering he shots about 20 times per game.

Struggle to see where Christie fits into our team. He could maybe be turnbulls backup next season?

Hopefully one of his shots ends up in the corner at Wembley. Would bank 20m for that!

Buzz I think you have hit the nail on the head It's not that Celtic players have stopped playing its they are getting played out of position that makes them not as effective as they can be and should be We have good players better than any other team in the league IMO but poor management as in position and Em formations don't help.

How many times has the side been chopped and changed? How many times have players been asked to fit, in neither their best position or formation? How many times have subs been shuttled on randomly, with baffling effect on the team and support alike? How can any team perform consistently well and gain confidence in that environment?

Auf NL has tried to make Christie his Kris Commons. The shoot on sight policy he seems to have must be coming from the management team. He'll be back to his best under a competent manager.

Agree with Auf1888 there, should be nowhere near deadball situations and his wanting to shoot constantly means he gets a worldy every now and again which people remember rather than rest of his game, not for me to slight and Turnbull already twice the player he is.

Agree Buzz and I think whoever is coming in to replace NL is key to someone like Christie signing.
Worst case scenario is he resigns, still fancies the bright lights and then get's punted for good money.
