Okay thanks ed for me it is about transition but its not just enough for celtic to win the domestic league forget the champions league for a moment and the league we know is a certainty barring a major major surprise celtic need to win a domestic trophy if you look at last season that was very very poor given the standards that celtic fans set and I think that was partly the reason lennon left although part of me thinks he walked before he pushed but I don't want to get into that. what ronny will learn very quickly in glasgow is that fans in both side of the city are very unforgiving so I think he need's to come out flying. I think he needs to get rid of the dross ie pukki balde boeriggter and some others also with forster and van dijk likely to go they need to be replaced but will he get the money I don't think he will get as much as fan's are hoping for. anyway let's see what the future bring's. gluck to all teams in scotland let's hope we can all talk about football next season for the right reasons club level and national level.

i am allowed my opinion and I stressed most celtic fan's I spoke to are unhappy but are willing to give the guy a chance and if he does a good job then I will be humble enough to say I was wrong I just think with the amount of money celtic have brought in in the last year and also the need to have champions league football that celtic would have went for a bigger name and more experienced. this guy has a reputation for good football but that is in norway who is to say it is going to work in scotland. anyway thanks ed for allowing me to share my opinion and good luck to ronny.
p.s ed do you think if celtic fail to make the champions league will be there disgruntled fan's then shouting the board should have got a bigger name.
{Ed007's Note - No need to thank me Steven. Of course there will be fans who would grumble, some of them are grumbling already, it's just a case of looking at the bigger picture for me. The coming season has to be looked at as a season of transition to allow the new manager to implement his own ideas and bring in his own players. Going by Deila's comments we should see a vast improvement on the park in regards to playing style but Rome wasn't built in a day, Deila has to be given a chance to turn things round.}

i thank you for that info ed but there is still grave doubt's that celtic should have gone down this line it is being seen by some celtic fans I know as a cheap option and although most fan's are saying they will give him time I reckon deep down they are disgusted at the appointment but as they say time will only tell. it will be good to see how they react towards him should celtic fail to make the champions league.

ed if this is such a good appointment why is it he is only on a 12 month rolling contract is this because the board know it is a very risky appointment and that if they sack him it will take less compensation than it would be if he was on a 3 or 4 year deal like other clubs do. I think this is bottom of the barrel stuff and shows a real lack of ambition by the celtic hierachy and they may live to regret it.
{Ed007's Note - Lots of clubs use one year rolling contracts these days, it's really nothing to be concerned about. Alex Ferguson was on one at Man Utd, Neil Lennon was on a one year rolling deal and so was Mowbray. Alan Pardew is in an EIGHT year deal at Newcastle but when it is broken down it is a one year rolling deal that runs from May to May on the club's say so. Wim Jansen's contract was something similar, he himself put a clause in his deal that he could leave at the end of any season, sadly he chose to to go after only one season.}

dumped out of the cup by a lower division team so would be perfect for celtic. what is lawell playing at if he is seriously considering this guy they should be looking at british managers there is plenty out there who deserve the chance to manage a big club. plenty down south and one or two up here.
