Ed do you think there's any substance to these Ronny Deila reports? If so, do you think it would be a positive appointment?

{Ed007's Note - It certainly looks as if he is a strong candidate, I have heard of him but that's it, I know nothing about him.}

From the outset I wanted the new manager to be a young foreign coach with no previous links to the club, who has a proven record of being successful with a small budget and favours an attacking, fast-paced style of play. He appears to tick all the boxes

{Ed007's Note - He certainly does, especially if you read all the sugar-coated writing that has mysteriously popped up today from people who have obviously studied his management style for years. I never knew there were so many experts on Norwegian football amongst the CFC support!}

His agent was filmed leaving Celtic park earlier on tv.

I wouldn't say what's came out of the media or what's being said about him on forums etc is too over the top. He's obviously done well with Stromsgodset, that's clear just by looking at their progression in the league table under him. I have never watched a Stromsgodset game so can't confirm if his style of play is what is being said, however Johansen has certainly been a breath of fresh air in our team with his quick closing down of opponents and attacking passing range. Our whole team playing the way he does would be great to watch

Do you think ed that maybe this could be a kind of low risk appointment incase we don't qualify for champions league, or maybe some deal in place that he could work alongside larsson ( keeping seat warm so to speak )if indeed he is in contention in the first place

{Ed007's Note - No.}

dumped out of the cup by a lower division team so would be perfect for celtic. what is lawell playing at if he is seriously considering this guy they should be looking at british managers there is plenty out there who deserve the chance to manage a big club. plenty down south and one or two up here.

'From the outset I wanted the new manager to be a young foreign coach with no previous links to the club, who has a proven record of being successful with a small budget and favours an attacking, fast-paced style of play. He appears to tick all the boxes.'

Is that you Peter?

7.) 04 Jun 2014
From what I've heard he plays attacking football with lots of passing

8.) 04 Jun 2014
No @Shevlin77, just someone who doesn't want a bog standard british or irish manager and is glad that the Board are actually thinking outside the box and freshening things up a bit!

9.) 04 Jun 2014
Ed Do you think Deila is the one?

{Ed007's Note - I will be surprised if he gets the job.}

10.) 05 Jun 2014
Well said LM67, I totally agree with you. All this clambering for Coyle, McKay etc is very short sighted. Why, in this day and age, does a manager have to have links with the club?

{Ed007's Note - Coyle's got as much of a link with the club as Clarke who you said would be your UK based choice in another post.}

11.) 05 Jun 2014
What makes you say that Ed? Looking pretty much nailed on from what i've seen

{Ed007's Note - So was Keane....and Clarke....and Coyle...and Larsson.. I wonder how much money went on Deila today?}
