In a season of record breaking and firsts for a Scottish club, the club has become the first Scottish club to receive the prestigious national club licensing platinum award . The platinum award is for excellence in stadium, first team, youth team and finance . HH🍀🍀🍀.

1.) 11 Jun 2017 11:42:19
Did they not get this award last season.

2.) 11 Jun 2017 13:46:56
naw the sarry heid goat it last year del.

3.) 11 Jun 2017 16:00:54
Being reported on various sites that this is the first . It's usually gold awards. Platinum is rarely given out .

04 Jun 2017 12:16:33
Seen a few posts on social media this morning saying Roberts has signed on with us next season . Does not say if it's a loan or permanent deal . Says it can't be announced till 30th of June due to his pre season contract with city? Not sure if it's true or beleviable . Can only hope guys 👍.

1.) 04 Jun 2017 13:35:25
Heard he is being allowed leave and is keen to return. I imagine Rodgers is keen also assuming we can afford him.

2.) 04 Jun 2017 18:03:08
Here's hoping! Ed was confident he would return to us for next season. I think the Hayes 'chat' made his name disappear with a lot of hacks last week. You heard anything ed?

{Ed007's Note - It's seemingly just the fee to be agreed but they're not a million miles away.}

3.) 04 Jun 2017 21:39:48
This would be immense if true! Him, Armstrong and then either a replacement for MD and back up or MD staying and back up. Fingers and everything else crossed.

4.) 04 Jun 2017 22:23:55
If celtic can get a perminent deal done with man city for roberts in my opinion it would be one of the most exciting signings we've made in many a year. This boy really is something special and at his age has all his best years still ahead of him. Come on celtic, make this happen.

5.) 04 Jun 2017 23:55:12
I have a feeling this will unfortunately be another in an endless line of Taxi driver who once drove Lawell to a boozer in the 90's.

6.) 05 Jun 2017 10:17:56
If Roberts signs for us on a permanent deal I think we'll see an extra 10-20% from him next season, and what a player that would make him. He has been with us on loan and he has applied himself fantastically well but psychologically I believe he'll improve if it's made official that Paradise is home to him for the foreseeable future.
In a way it's a bit like comparing a house you rent to a house you buy. Yes you'll settle in the rented house for as long as you're their but when you buy a house you'll settle yourself much more. HH.

7.) 05 Jun 2017 10:52:17
What a magnificent signing Paddy would be, To get someone of his quality on a permanent deal would be up there with one of our best signings over the last 20+ years. Everytime he gets the ball the crowd is lifted expecting something to happen and more often than not it does. If we can get Paddy signed and Armstrong on a new contract it would be a massive boost going into the new season. We can build our team around Roberts, Armstrong, Tierney, In these young lads we not only have quality but real grafters who aren't shy when it comes to rolling up these sleeves and putting the work in.

8.) 05 Jun 2017 20:01:03
Hey Ed any update on paddy Roberts went quiet today?

{Ed007's Note - Everton have registered their interest in Roberts.}

9.) 06 Jun 2017 16:45:47
I'm getting my hopes up then they are eroded by a lack of confirmation of the Roberts situation. I cannot see why, if it was true, that we wouldn't be told. Celtic know how much the fans want paddy, what us to be gained from not confirming it? That makes me fear that all the chatter is just the usual close season circus.

Can anybody give me solace by confirming g that this is a real thing and not just wishful thinking and joining dots that aren't there?

It's driving me nuts.

27 Apr 2017 18:41:33
Brendan confirms the moose was on the exercise bike today! May make the final?

16 Apr 2017 16:32:12
Henri oyekuru ( spelling ) confirms he is in talks with celtic and is definitely moving in the summer.

1.) 16 Apr 2017 18:24:41
Where you hear this mate?

2.) 16 Apr 2017 19:01:37
A report on sport bible / talking baws a think it was accredited to . He says there has been contact from Celtic amongst other clubs but talks are ongoing . In the interview he said his current club know he is leaving definitely in the summer . He has seen a route to show his skills at Celtic / develop and in the future move to guess where? ( EPL ) only 19 so if possible for a decent fee and then move on later like wanyama, vvd? Only
A rumour but the article was on social media this afternoon.

3.) 16 Apr 2017 23:08:42
Del it also states there are otber clubs interested and hed love to play in the epl so a wouldn't hold ma breath mate.

4.) 17 Apr 2017 08:17:57
Mally I pointed out that he was in contact with celtic and other clubs also! And I said that he was looking at ways to get to the epl. To be fair I have never seen him play and only recognised his name through posts on here . I was mearly point out his interview on line . Today's daily mirror claims celtic are fighting it out with West Brom for his signature . Source ( sly sports newspaper round up )

5.) 17 Apr 2017 09:56:35
Lads obviously a talent but I'd give it a miss to be honest! Do we really want someone who goes AWOL from his club the minute he doesn't get his way! Is he going to come in the summer and score a few goals then demand to leave in January? Just my opinion but I'd stay away from him!

6.) 17 Apr 2017 13:44:29
I believe he was being forced into signing a contract that was not in his interest and club were acting like sevco say no more. I think also wanted him to switch agents etc etc so he took action to protect himself from the dodgy antics. Treating a 19 year old kid who is away from his home and family in this way is appalling. I would welcome this guy at our great club.

7.) 17 Apr 2017 20:32:11
Bang on kwaj take him in a heartbeat. I live where it's epl this epl that Rodgers slagged cos Liverpool are shite but for me hers the point Rodgers 1st n foremost is a coach and makes players better . Armstrong dembele Sinclair to name a few us as a club would be seen as a stepping stone and tbf rightly so look at Forster wanyama van dijk but not only are we a stepping stone we're now a team with a manager who's can say come to us yes u may be good and may one day get your move to big money but I'll also make you a better player.

21 Feb 2017 16:30:27
Wouldn't let me reply to Jim Tim's post on the rumour page? Ed002 you are always in the know, very straight to the point and seem very knowledgeable about all things football . My only gripe with your reply is celtic put an unrealistic value on the player? Why is it unrealistic. The money unknown, untried players are moving for just now is ridiculous. Do you Base this on him plying his trade in Scotland? He did well at Fulham, has proved himself at celtic after a slow start . Is proving himself in the champions league and at French under 21 level . Personally I think anything above 25 million will be good business but clubs are paying silly money just now so why can't celtic demand the same?

{Ed002's Note - Celtic can demand what they wish but if they make it unrealistic then it can make any move to a higher tier club difficult for the player - and they would not be looking to stand in his way.}

Posted a screenshot on the Celtic Sightings page of a link my mate just sent me regarding the delude, saying After being linked with Remy, bony, batshuiyi and most recently rvp! They should sign zlatan to put the fear into Celtic 🙈🙈 they actually posted this on a fans website and believe it 😲😲😲.

1.) 11 Jun 2017 16:10:38
I met a swedish chef in a youth hostel in Dublin once upon a time. I could have a word n try swing it for us.

2.) 11 Jun 2017 17:22:02
@delbhoy1888.there delusion is frightening. so much so you would think that they are just at it. but they are not. they are all equally as deluded and gullable as each other. if they were fish they would be first out the pond everytime🎣🎣🎣.

3.) 11 Jun 2017 18:31:16
A friend of mine once knew someone who had driven past a Saab. He obviously has links with the important people in Sweden so if your chef connection doesn't work out let me know and I'll see what I can do. I'm sure it would work lol HH.

4.) 11 Jun 2017 18:56:55
As part of a school project I had a Swedish pen pal back when I was in Primary 3😉.

5.) 11 Jun 2017 20:17:16
We should be careful about writing off this Ibra "link" after playing for teams at the Amsterdam Arena, Parc desPrices, Nou Camp, Bernabau and Old Trafford, surely the only thing left for Zlatan is to be set out to pasture at The Theatre of Leaks!

6.) 12 Jun 2017 11:15:13
Didnt you link him with yourselves before he joined utd, nobody is kidding anybody on at least i've not seen a link which is unusual because it is silly season.

7.) 12 Jun 2017 12:49:00
A like abba there av said it.

8.) 13 Jun 2017 10:55:22
i seen a wee swedish fella who banged in 200 odd goals for celtic if that helps lol.

27 May 2017 17:30:46
Roberts face when his interview was interrupted to see Tierney turn up for his medal! True bromance 🍀🍀🍀.

1.) 27 May 2017 20:35:08
It was like a wwe moment! Lights off! Boom! Kt appeared like the undertaker 🍀🍀🍀🍀.

27 May 2017 13:18:16
Interviews and coverage on sly never ceases to annoy the life out of me . Biased interviews and opinions non stop! Alex McLeish is a total waloper of a man . From the reporter licking his ar$e " you were the last man to do a treble in Scotland " to McLeish comments of how the competition not being as strong this season as too when he did it! Then straight to a comment about how we got beat off the red imps! This in same week he suggested Celtic should be handicapped for the sake ok Scottish football? Stop worrying about Celtic you bell end and start worrying about HMRC looking for the ebt money you owe!

{Ed007's Note - The game's on BBC too so hopefully everyone shuns Sly and tunes into the other side to hit Sly's viewing figures.}

1.) 27 May 2017 14:16:26
Watching bbc for it. always find Michael Stewart quite fair.

{Ed007's Note - Yeah I don't mind him either. Any time I've seen or read him he comes across well and seems pretty fair in giving his opinions.}

2.) 27 May 2017 14:47:24
Spot on ed. Don't always agree with him but always seems to be his truthful unbiased opinion.

20 May 2017 18:13:54
After the season we have had? Treble? Unbeaten or not! Is it not time the bunnet was honoured? We are finally reaping the rewards of all the ground work the wee man put in place, from top to bottom! If the club won't commission a statue, could the fans not raise the funds? Without Fergus we woukd not be in the strength we are now . He wasn't popular at first, but he did what the other mob have failed to do! Build a full infrastructure and allow celtic to grow as a family and a world wide brand .

1.) 20 May 2017 18:48:00
Been banging on about this for ages.
He should have a statue outside the doors beside the other great men.

2.) 20 May 2017 19:03:34
Did he not bin the idea himself?, heard a story about it a few yrs back, dunno if its true or not.

3.) 20 May 2017 19:22:06
He came in . Was honest about making his money back, had a 5 year plan and stuck to it . He wasn't interested in what that shower across the city were doing . He put his money where his mouth was, made a few unpopular choices! But what he did for our club will live on in the memories of generations to come! We are celtic 🍀🍀🍀🍀.

4.) 20 May 2017 19:59:00
Spot on Guys a statue is a great idea. And to think he was booed raising the league flag by our own. Suggestion for a Green Brigade banner 'HONOUR THE BUNNET' ☘️.

5.) 20 May 2017 20:06:10
No qualms about the bunnet getting recognised at all

Not next though, for me it has to be Tommy Burns next, Ed suggested a while back it should be lennoxtown an that's the best idea he has ever came up with on here lol! (Still wouldn't swap his picture for mine though :-P )

Then a stand for wee Fergus hoopy days all round (y)

6.) 20 May 2017 20:23:09
If Fergus doesn't want a statue? Then a stand is a great idea Jamie bhoy 7 . Tommy burns will always be a legend but a need to disagree mate! Fergus has given us a platform to grow from strength to strength. As the wee man said, it would have been cheaper and easier to start again! But the embarrassment and shame is not what the celtic fans deserve! The bills were paid, the stadium built and now we are making history on well laid foundations.

7.) 20 May 2017 21:25:51
guys, we all have come to realise what Fergus did for our club.
Over the years it has been suggested that we recognise we he achieved
Ed has stated in the past that Fergus is a very humble person and would not really want that. Having said that in sure that will come in due course:
Jamie: Great point mate, "Tommy Burns Training Academy " now that sounds not too shabby .
For Fergus it has to be a stand.

Just had this thought from the start of next season, for each month we name Celtic Park after a Lisbon Lion until every player/ Manager has had his name over Celtic Park.

8.) 20 May 2017 23:38:06
Still think we should have a bunnet day where everyone wears a bunnet for the match possibly now the first home game next season to honour the Man.

9.) 21 May 2017 00:24:34
Think it would be fitting if we all wore bunnets at the cup final. How fitting to honour the wee fella when we are on the verge of something very special hopefully. Its all because of his vision and determination. His heart must be bursting with pride at how his plan has developed. I worked at CP back then and he seemed to cut about a lot on his own always had a hello for everyone, even if people found him a little unique, I found him quite comical. He was definitely his own man. Without wee Fergus, there is no Oneill, No Henrik, Sutton, Bobo, Seville, Treble, Champions League nights. To imagine what it feels like to not have a Fergus just take wee look over at the tribute act with the crook at the helm. let's have a Fergus Final.

10.) 21 May 2017 00:34:20
Naming a stand isn't enough for me.
Got to be a statue right next to the good brother big jock and wee jimmy.

11.) 20 May 2017 23:38:12
Loved his comment about the three amigos, and do you know the way to San Jose.

12.) 21 May 2017 10:43:30
How about the main stand front doors being named the Fergus McCann entrance with a bust of him just inside the foyer as you go in .

10 May 2017 13:45:01
So brendan just won manager of the month for April! Is anyone else getting bored with winning absolutely everything 😂😂😂😂 young christie even won Aberdeens. Young player award 😜😜😜.

{Ed007's Note - I will NEVER get bored of Celtic winning. Supposing we win the Treble for the next 20 years and never lose a game in Scotland again I would still celebrate every trophy as if it was the first I'd seen. There is no better sight in Scottish football than watching Celtic's captain lifting a cup, none!
If the rest of Scottish football can't handle us that's their problem, we're there through sheer hard work and after accepting so many knocks along the way including competing against a financially doped cheating major opponent for years.
Do they expect us to stand still to let them catch up?
We deserve these times, Del, and we've earned it ALL in the right and proper way and long may it continue.}

1.) 10 May 2017 14:44:52
Amen to that.

2.) 10 May 2017 15:27:40
I was trying to be sarcastic ed lol . Seeing the pain ooze out them is so satisfying. From their continuation myth to begging anyone with money to come help them . They don't know where to turn to or who to blame anymore . All the while the celtic juggernaut rolls on .

{Ed007's Note - I know you were mate but the press and TRIFC fans do try to push that line.}

3.) 10 May 2017 15:50:43
Your rite ed . The celtic are too rich for Scottish football line? 1 team dominating is no good for Scottish football? Where we're these headlines when the mssm were dining on succulent lamb😂😂😂😂 changed days now mate . And no tax avoidance, ebt's in sight . It's been a long slog since Fergus's days but we are reaping the rewards now from the top of the club to the bottom . On and off the park . Out of curiosity? Did you read a certain bloggers piece yesterday about naming rights to the stadium? 😜.

{Ed007's Note - No, I didn't - did you remember and donate after reading it?}

4.) 10 May 2017 16:07:43
ED007 that has a nice ring to it
It's Magic you know
You;ll never beat TWENTY SIX IN A ROW lol.

{Ed007's Note - We'll have left the rest of Scottish football behind and be up there with the cream of Europe in the Super League long before that. Unless they let us play our development squad in Scotland, they'll need someone for TRIFC to play and blame all their woes on ;)

5.) 10 May 2017 16:14:01
Av yet to see him begging lol was just an interesting read 😂😂😂.

{Ed007's Note - Oh, well at least it wasn't that imbecile John James then! The only blogs I really read are LaytonBhoy (James Forrest) and paddyontherailway or jabbatheagnivore which is a good laugh.}

6.) 10 May 2017 16:44:26
ED007 as you know I like The Clumpany he really takes the "P" out of the Scottish media.
But what I do not understand is all the negative sniping between Tim bloggers, we should all be working together to shine a light on all the cheating crooks in Scottish football.

{Ed007's Note - I think he tries too hard sometimes but he can be quite good. Don't you read paddyontherailway? That's right up your street....

7.) 10 May 2017 17:15:17
It was Phil macs blog a was reading . Was talking about middle east investment regarding stadium naming rights . Listed aviva and the Irish rugby stadium . 44 million 10 years ago! Read a lot on the comedy pages about middle east investment and always thought if they were to invest in Scottish football? Surely we would be a better option? It may all be bulls@#t but while riding high? Pl has been good at sponsors and merchandise deals! Imagine their faces if it happened? 😂😂😂😂😂 plus they hate Phil mac with a passion . The clumpanys quite funny too lol.

{Ed007's Note - I'd love him to be right but I won't hold my breath. Two days ago Brian Wilson chaired a meeting with a wee clique of 50 uber supporters and there wasn't any mention of anything like that.
It seems we are getting new undersoil heating as the system we have is the oldest in the UK!}

8.) 10 May 2017 18:42:40
Is it right that the Ross County won the under 20s league?, if so, quite an achievement for a wee club.

A 500 grand outlay? If we got 20 mill would be amazing business. 27 plus sell on clause? It's a no brainer especially when we look at the potential windfall from vvd 👍.

To be fair? Even if his for dips and he stays? Which I doubt . He only cost £450,000 so anything we get above that is good business. Think of the money we lost on bangoura, cifti, pukki to say the least 😂😂😂.

This seems to be the media blowing all this out of proportion again . There was no mention of weapons or knifes. Apparently it was 1 guy who attacked his ex misses new man . Nothing to do with politics or drugs. Just a jealous idiot who had too much " hospitality " . Seems very incident is being blown way out of proportion to blacken the name of our club . If it happened in the street or a pub? Would it even get a coloum in the advertiser?

Why were they not allowed their banners at a friendly against lyon which caused a walk out? But allowed them against a powder keg game? We had to switch game dates to suit anti Catholic hatred where that club and police couldn't guarantee our safety in the name of " culture" but Brendans undefeated army is unacceptable? ( I know there maybe an undelying reference ) but there was no wording/ offending slogans! Our player was pelted with coins n bottles, attempted attacks and Celtic come out this punished worse? get a grip.

I may be wrong, but has LG not toed a scarf at every away match he played in last season? He hasn't been punished for any of them? So to say he did it to provoke fans might not hold up as a charge?
