No idea how true it is but heard that Sami Hyppia was interviewed today about Celtic job

tonybjnr

1.) Pretty sure I read something about him going to Brighton?

2.) Behave

Just been told the new celtic away kit is a green and yellow tartan material! The guy who works in the Nike factory reckons it's one of the smartest tops he's seen!

tonybjnr

1.) Quite like the sound of that, if it's dark green and darker yellow, more of a gold, that could be really nice.

2.) 02 Jun 2014 11:16:45
That sounds horrific!

3.) Just posted a pic of it in player sightings

4.) That pic isn't the kit, might be the training top though.The description is correct, not too sure about the kit, it might be a grower.Looks better than the white one though.

5.) That's last season's Beijing Guoan kit.

6.) I haven't seen the top but I'm told it its a subtle tartan and not garish at all. The guy who told me works in Bangladesh and has made hundreds of replica kits. He said it was a cracker and that the celtic fans would love it!

First time I've posted in along time but still read page regularly. I see a lot of people posting their frustrations about the lack of activity with a RB and CB. My own opinion is that this a consequence of previous poor signings and the difficulty in getting poor players off the books. Celtic currently have 3 first team right backs and 5 centre backs. At least 3 of them will have to be moved out this windows before IMO the club re-invest. Commper Gamboa and Hendry (loan) will have to moved out. The type of centre backs and full backs we need will. be commanding substantial salaries and we all know Mr Lawell will want to balance the books. If we can't get Commpers salary of the books I feel we be left with what we have.

tonybjnr

1.) 28 Jan 2019 19:38:49
How longs commper got left on his deal?

2.) 28 Jan 2019 20:34:07
I know it's frustrating with loan deals etc. But it could also be that quality players just don't want to sign for us.
You are right about having to balance the books as well.

3.) 28 Jan 2019 20:55:32
I'm sure Commper signed a 2 and a half year deal Wyllie, really bad deal from us there 👎.

Ed is Michu a possibility tonight? Lot of Scottish reporters saying this may be hsppening

tonybjnr

{Ed007's Note - So why don't you ask the people who are saying it?}

1.) 01 Sep 2015 22:16:55
Maybe because he thinks you are more in the know and respects your opinion more than these other people.

{Ed007's Note - If he's reading them then he's not respecting me, I've said for years not to take any notice of anything they say and people expect me to answer questions about stories they've made up?
It doesn't work like that, and I have better things to do with my time than worry about what some two-bit hack has said on social media to get him some attention.}

2.) 01 Sep 2015 22:20:26
I was asking you because you like to potray yourself as someone with an inside track.I think your opinion on liewell and park is similar to mine. However we differ in one trait Don't appreciate the comment and was uncalled for. My father taught me manners cost nothing.

{Ed007's Note - It's just a pity he forgot common sense and any sense of decency but I'd imagine having his work cut out teaching you anything.
And you can always appreciate the Scottish reporters you seem to fan over. Do you go and ask theses reporters if what I say is true?
My father taught me that if you have enough money you can get people to do anything you want, no matter how degrading it is - and he was spot on, you can't pay your bills with manners.}

3.) 01 Sep 2015 22:42:56
Sound a wee bit cheesed off Ed. Chin up, what we expect these days at CFC

{Ed007's Note - Just with stupid questions and questions that have already been dealt with if people checked.}

I see a lot of comments being posted about how we fill an empty Celtic park for league games. The answer is very simple. put a team on the park worth watching. Ronnie has been here for a year now. he promised exciting atacking football. Playing a pressure game that will yield goals. I don't necessarily blame the manager for the lack of progress)(I still have have not made my mind up whether Ronnie is the answer). Howvever I only see flashes off the football he promised(first goal against Malmo). Thousands of celtic fans have once again shown faith in the manager and board by investing in a season ticket. IMO that investment gives them the right to chose the games they want to watch,. Trust me if the quality of player reflected the investment celtic fans have made over the years,the ground would be full every week.

tonybjnr

{Ed007's Note - Has the board shown the same level of faith and investment as the fans?}

1.) 29 Aug 2015 21:29:53
That is my point Ed!! Time and time again we take a leap of faith pre season. Once again we rewarded with champions league failure, promising kids and loanees

{Ed007's Note - Well give up your season ticket and just pick and choose what games you want to go to.}

2.) 29 Aug 2015 21:59:41
I'm sure there are a few who are. and quite right!

{Ed007's Note - Good for them, it's nice to see people taking responsibility for their finances in these difficult times if they feel they aren't getting value for money, consumerism and the keeping up with the Jones' psyche is strangling the country as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. You'd be better heading to the pictures or playing golf on a Saturday, try to find a hobby you enjoy.
If you're ever not using your ticket you'll see suggestions about who might? Is there maybe an unemployed neighbour who would appreciate the chance to go and cheer on the team? Just chap his door and say you can't make it and does he fancy it for X game, the guy will most likely be delighted and you will feel a lot better for doing a heartfelt charitable deed, cleanse your wealth, Tony and reach out to others less fortunate than you.
It's mentioned in all major religions but if you read the Holy Bible, Matthew 19:24:
'And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.'
Embrace it mate, I can highly recommend the inner peace doing such selfless acts brings to your soul, and not a pat on the back, screaming how nice you are or a seat in the South Stand with the chosen few pat on the back, but the inner peace when you lie down at night to thank God for your life and knowing you've done something, no matter how small, to improve someone else's.
They don't give out medals for being a considerate and charitable person, the celebrities who collect them are self serving publicity whores - I'd love you to do it for your own piece of mind and contentment. It's like a snowball, I have tried to advice you, that's my good deed, if you pass on your ticket that's two good deeds from us and who knows what the recipient of the ticket would do as a good deed after being inspired by you.}

Extremely naive performance. The midfield was non existent for me. Johanssen has been very poor all season and tonight was no different. Felt a bit for Biton as he was isolated a lot tonight. Brown and johansson very poor. We needed a performance with the discipline of Qarabag but felt we got dragged into the mind games. Nothing will change though, we are a Europa league team who will only go one way. Down the money in England is killing us. We need a scottish boycott of Sky. We will never compete until there is a fair balance of finaice

1.) 26 Aug 2015 00:46:03
Did you not read that Malmo were put together for about £3 million pounds,the money in England has nothing to do with it,most of this failure is down to Ronnie,the team lacks creativity,why did'nt he give Allan a chance in the second half instead of ,maybe Armstrong,Ronnie been doing this since he arrived ,picking the wrong team,playing players out of position,concentrating too much on the fitness aspect rather than the ball control aspect of the game

Am I the only who has concerns about making it through the Qarabag tie? I feel this night a game or two too early for the back four. Vvd and Boyata still look as if they are a few games away from a partnership. Lustig is a class act for me but I have never been comfortable with Mulgrew at left back. Not seen anything of Qarabag but they're results last season show they are no mugs. Silva has an excellent scoring record and will need watching closely. Thoughts?

1.) 26 Jul 2015 12:43:32
I have never watched them but have been checking through their results. Based on that I would conclude that they are not much of a goal threat but are solid defensively.

Personally speaking, I think we will beat them, although we should give them the respect they deserve as they are capable of an upset.

2.) 26 Jul 2015 14:20:26
I'm confident mate. No doubt they've had some good performances. But so have we. It'll be a case of who can find form and I think we've got to have more quality. All I know is we need a good 2/3 goal lead from the home leg to make the away tie comfortable.

3.) 26 Jul 2015 16:38:27
Hello from Vilamoura marina, lovely and warm over here Bhoys! Think Celtic will have enough to make the final qualifying round. Is the game live on TV? Hail Hail

The biggest problem with izzy is that he hasn't really improved since he got here. No one can argue that he's a real threat to the opposition. He is also seen as a real weakness by decent opposition. I don't necessarily blame izzy for this, where is the coaching? Why is no one working on his positioning when we lose the ball?

Gutted about this. Looked at a few strips they produce and one is uglier than the other. Will miss Nike
