Lambert to leave Blackburn at end of the season. I would take him as our new manager.

Jungle Bhoy

1.) 28 Apr 2016 16:04:38
Why because he played for us?

2.) 28 Apr 2016 16:35:52
why not has more experience than our previous 4 managers the fact that he played for us is of little relevance, but it surely shouldn't rule him out.

3.) 28 Apr 2016 19:06:21
Dundeebhoy doesn't have more experience than Strachan.

4.) 28 Apr 2016 20:09:41
DN30 at the point in strachans career when he got the job he didn't have as much experience as lambert does now that was my point.

Celtic TV are showing delayed transmission of the game tonight at 9pm.Not sure if its for everyone with Celtic TV or just for those abroad.

Jungle Bhoy

1.) 29 Jul 2015 14:44:26
Everyone should be at the game!

2.) 29 Jul 2015 15:21:43
Some people can't afford to go to the games, or can't travel due to work/family commitments.

3.) 29 Jul 2015 15:31:14
Gav.Not everyone that wants to can be at the match that's why we have Celtic tv.

4.) 29 Jul 2015 17:07:30
I myself can't make it tonight as a am on a stag week in Amsterdam any ideas how a could watch it bhoys

5.) 29 Jul 2015 17:49:12
I don't think everyone could fit in stadium. Gav have you ever been to a game?

6.) 29 Jul 2015 17:50:30
I'm in Singapore and.? It is what it is. I do give the price of my ticket to a local charity (daily bread) which, to me anyway, fits in with the charitable side of Celtic. I know it goes to those who need it as I help with distribution. Hail Hail

7.) 29 Jul 2015 18:30:07
So there's no other links for the game online just the delayed Celtic tv one?

8.) 29 Jul 2015 18:45:10
Greenandwhiteknighy.Just go into a cafe and take a couple of deep breaths and pretend your at the match.

9.) 29 Jul 2015 18:48:51
I I would say you'll get an azberjaini link somewhere well I'm hoping and just lower it down and listen to commentary on radio as far as going to games I travel to parkhead from Ireland at least 20 times a year so of your going to the game gav good for you

10.) 29 Jul 2015 18:53:46
There is links on online sites such as firstrowsports and vipbox I have just checked whether they work or not well not know to kick off

11.) 30 Jul 2015 10:24:58
Celtic blocked the Azerbaijan TV link last night

Ciftci got the number 7 shirt.

ciftci7
Jungle Bhoy

1.) 09 Jul 2015 13:51:30
ha ha! oh aye, he deserves it!

2.) 09 Jul 2015 14:11:44
Disgraceful

3.) 09 Jul 2015 14:34:40
Disgraceful how? Have we just to keep it spare incase Larsson decides to come out of retirement? We should always have the 1-11 jerseys occupied. He's probably asked for it as it was his number at Dundee United. Or maybe he realises what the number means at Celtic and fancies the challenge of replicating some of our legends who have worn it. Good on him

4.) 09 Jul 2015 14:57:09
Give the guy a chance. Not my ideal choice of signing but he's a Celtic player now so here's hoping he does well. HH

5.) 09 Jul 2015 15:02:53
Not bothered about him getting the shirt just don't play the magnificent seven tune when he scores. That is Henkes and always will be.

6.) 09 Jul 2015 15:29:43
Freddy Ljungberg and Miku wore the no7 lol
Cifti will give more than them 2 put together!
Still not ideal but no point having the number available and nobody filling it, if Cifti has asked for it then fair play.

7.) 09 Jul 2015 15:31:11
lets see if he lives up to his or our expectations, let alone that of player who plays with the No7 jersey.

8.) 09 Jul 2015 16:00:49
I'm 50/50 as to if the jersey should be retired or continued to be used! But takes mucho grande cahones to take it on he must be confident!

9.) 09 Jul 2015 16:51:02
I'm not doubting he thinks he is a player and the numbers 1-11 should be occupied so let's c how long of ban he gets for being stupid with his bite and then c how often the number 7 is on the park

10.) 09 Jul 2015 18:48:46
Why would we ever retire it? It's the Celtic No 7. It's a challenge to match those who have also graced it. Jimmy Johnstone wore it, and if it can carry on after him, then it can carry on after Henrik.

11.) 09 Jul 2015 18:54:55
So he gets banned for a few games. We knew that. Let's just let the guy get in with it. We will get enough if the press reminding everyone how much if a minster he is now that he has signed for us without us getting in on the act.

These are the same journos that had selective amnesia when overlooking Gazza beating seven shades of shit out of his wife. Ciftci was out if irder and will cop it but I think he will be fine.,

12.) 09 Jul 2015 18:56:30
Exactly one player in a generation actually deserves the shirt number! But we never knew that HL would be the player he turned out to be! I will give ciftci every oppertunity to impress but the signing at this point is under whelming! But in RD I trust!

13.) 09 Jul 2015 21:37:12
The No.7 shirt is absolutely worthless now.

14.) 10 Jul 2015 00:12:22
It doesn't matter what the number is on his back,it's only a number. It's the badge on the front that matters. COYBIG.

15.) 10 Jul 2015 10:44:57
The number 7 shirt is nothing to do with how good you are, jinky wore it as he played rm as it was 1-11 in every game then, you had a lot of substandard players between then and larsson wear it and a few after. Its the player who fills ot we should concentrate on, not one person knows how good he will be here but he might just surprise a lot of people and become a legend here

08 Jul 2015 15:47:29
Logan Bailley signs and is given number 26 shirt.

Jungle Bhoy

1.) 08 Jul 2015 18:36:56
ED007 are you happy with this signing, as we all know what you think of Gordon. Apparently he comes with a decent reputation, admittedly a few years ago, but to play for Belgium he must be decent, so maybe give Gordon some genuine competition and at the very least keep Gordon on his A game.

{Ed007's Note - It doesn't matter what his reputation is, if his knees and wrists are OK he's got to be better than Gordon.}

2.) 08 Jul 2015 19:34:08
Craig Gordon played 52 games for us last year and was probably our most consistent player. Yes he made a couple of mistakes but who didn't? He's been that good Forster hasn't been missed at all. You'd think coming back from injury to perform so well would deserve praise not criticism

3.) 08 Jul 2015 20:30:01
His mistakes got us kicked out of the champions league, Europa league and the Scottish cup

4.) 08 Jul 2015 20:35:30
SpotSpot on LM67. I like Gordon, has been excellent for us overall.

5.) 08 Jul 2015 20:35:41
Forster hasn't been missed so who would u prefer Gordon or forster?

6.) 08 Jul 2015 20:37:26
He made the most costly mistakes though LM. CL qualifiers, Inter, Cup Semi. It's that sympathy vote that got him the football writers award. Put in some decent performances. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a pro keeper though. I for one have missed Forster. He's a better keeper.

7.) 08 Jul 2015 20:43:02
I'm with you LM 67, Craig Gordon has been excellent for us, not sure why Ed007 constantly tries to rubbish him? It's the same with LG, the bHoy has been brilliant for us. Hail Hail

8.) 08 Jul 2015 20:43:50
Have to agree with LM67. Do you not think you are being harsh with your criticism of Gordon? He without a doubt contributed to us not being hammered in Europe again and dug out a number of games with saves to ensure we won games which could have resulted in draws or losses. Without him in goals Aberdeen would have been a lot closer to us or even worse winners. I am a little surprised in your opinion of him. What do you base this on Ed?

{Ed007's Note - Watching him.}

9.) 08 Jul 2015 20:50:27
Some decent performances? He was absolutely exceptional away to Salzburg and at home to Zagreb. Yes he made mistakes, and at costly times, but so did Forster. Cup final against Rangers when he let a Davis shot with no power go past him and at home to AC Milan in the CL when he failed to come out for 2 corners where they scored from close range. My point was that we have replaced one great keeper with another. I'm happy for Gordon to be our number 1 for years to come

10.) 08 Jul 2015 20:51:22
still on about the rubbish about him costing us the CL utter garbage Johansen was more at fault for saving one from going in for us ffs! Granted CG had a howler against Inter

11.) 08 Jul 2015 21:16:05
If we are looking at any1 player that cost us it's van dijk lackadaisical at times and but best cb we've had at other times, he's gotten too big and thinks he's better than us when he got tested in Europe against the better teams he crumbled I'd sell him if he wants away and critics of Gordon need to remember he single handledly saved us at points last season he's an outstanding keeper and too get him for nothing is an absolute steal of the century. I think at times Celtic fans expect too much because of the secession of over achievements over the past few years. When we can't compete with EPL we can't even compete with championship in wages so give our new players a chance and get behind the team this year and hope we over achieve by making the champions league

12.) 08 Jul 2015 21:51:53
I for one think Gordon is better than Forster.
He commands his area far better than Forster.
He is way better at catching high balls versus trying to parry or punch.
I admit big Fraser was probably a better reaction saver and close range shot stopper but Craig is not far behind and on balance a better more reliable keeper.
Everyone makes mistakes.EVERYONE
My worry on Gordon was coming back from severe injury and being available. he proved he is fit and back to his best. look at his consistency last season!
Was never a fan of Zaluska. New guy will push Gordon and be available to sub when needed. at least on paper.

13.) 08 Jul 2015 23:23:12
Ed007 has had it in for Gordon from the start .
From memory never a plaudit but constant negativity.
The lad was offered a deal, no fee, maybe Ed007 can confirm the wages but I guess not major, and over the season has proved an asset. Who would the Ed prefer to be in goal bearing in mind all the constraints?
Also, does the Ed analysis all players mistakes with same scrutiny? As fellow poster mentioned, other players more at fault for Euro failures but I suppose easy to overlook when you have a "target"

14.) 09 Jul 2015 10:43:07
People keep going on about the Inter game. If it wasn't for his outstanding performances in the groups we wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the knockout stages. He didn't make any more mistakes than anybody else last season, it just gets highlighted more when it's the GK because there's nobody else to bail them out. My opinion of course. Although I think you can be overly critical of him Ed and it seems like a personal thing rather than a footballing thing at times.

{Ed007's Note - I think you overthink things and I think too many fans are afraid to criticise a player incase they upset others so it's easier to just follow the pack rather than think for themselves.
Gordon cost us CL football, Gordon cost us v Inter in the EL and Gordon cost us the domestic treble. That was 3 massive games where he badly let us down not to mention the amount of times he cost us goals by rebounding the ball back into the danger area after a save, one of the most basic GKing errors.
People still hold the Juve game against Ambrose so why can't I criticise CG for mistakes he's made, mistakes that ruined our season.
Let's hope if he stays fit his mistakes aren't as costly in this coming season.}

15.) 09 Jul 2015 13:10:17
It's fair enough to say Gordon cost us in various games but let's not forget Ronny cost us just as much with his poor tactics and player selections at times.

16.) 09 Jul 2015 19:49:14
Wasn't it 2 howlers against Inter not one? He did bail us out at times in the group credit where credit is due. So it should be the same for criticism.

3.) 05 Jun 2015 01:11:52
Hey JB is that only 18,000 for launch day or over the whole course of the season?

{Ed007's Note - Mike Ashley asked us to keep the number down so that Zombies don't start fighting as they'r queuing to buy them for their grandkids.}

Where would you class this team? I think they are hot on the heels of the Seville team but still miles behind the Lions. Until they start beating teams in Europe then they will never get close to the Lions or pass the 03 team.

May the Fourth be with you Ed (somebody usually cracks it) . All the best big man have a good one.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks very much buddy. I think the Star Wars thing helps people remember, I got up to a message from Ed001 asking if it was my birthday or if it was just because of the Star Wars stuff he associates this day with me. It did cross my mind that he was just getting his excuses in early for the lack of any gift... :)

Ed, forgive me for asking but are you providing "Sky Sources" if you get what i mean?

Jungle Bhoy

{Ed007's Note - C'mon JB, I expected better than that from you. Rodgers told another candidate that he was certain the job was his. Would Ed001 nd especially Ed002 let me post that under muy own account if there was no basis in it, thi was an putting his name to it not an anonymous poster that seen Roy Keane in Glasgow.
For all the new whinging bitches that have appeared. I don't earn onen single penny for doing this, whether 2 or 2 million people read it, all revenue goes towards the costs of running multiple sites. Things change, we get things right and we might get some things wrong but at the time of publishing you get facts and the truth with no spin, even if you don't like the news.
If the sites do fold over the financial difficulties I'm sure Sly will keep you all up to date with what their sources know - and all for £30 a month.
He'llgo mental at me saying this but it sticks in my craw. Him and Ed033 moved to Dubai for tax breaks etc and the daft b@strad went and fell in love with a beatiful young woman over there. So after ignoring my advice he ddcided she was the one and he proposed.
Stop puking for now, that's not the worst, after starting these sites 13 (?) Years ago, working on them 14 - 20 hours a day, overseeing all the changes etc because of the costs of just running the sites Ed1 is now moving to spain to live with his folks to save for a wedding.
Remember that when you see begging for one single blog compared to the pages we run.
Here I'm not begging for money, Ed001 has always said these pages would be free), I'm just pointing out the way things like that really run. I can't undestand why anyone would need to ask for money to run a blog. Ed033 might know....

Totally agree Ed. I remember a few years ago when he was still at Everton he was asked if he would ever manage the OF and he said "Only if they played in England". But now he is desperate for a job he would take it. Two-faced C. If he had to choose between Newcastle and Celtic i'm sure he wouldn't even turn up for the interview. Keep him away!

Jungle Bhoy

{Ed007's Note - Do you think it's just a coincidence that the MSM's anti-Deila spin has went into overdrive this week? We've got this rocket Moyes sticking his oar in, stories that Malky Mackay is ready to get back into management and Lennon leaving Bolton all being used to try and unsettle the Club. Anyone with half a brain can see what's going on, the press are running scared of what's going to happen at Hampden next month.}
