I'd be surprised if we got quite as much as that but there's no reason we shouldn't hold out for a new record fee.

It's time we stopped teams from the big leagues coming in and getting our players cheap.
I don't think we will get the £33m up front but we should be looking at something like £25m up front, £8m in add-ons and a good sell-on.

I expect us to get at least 30m for him. There are more than just atletico interested in him. He is contracted to 2027 so celtic hold all the cards.

Did he not just sign a new 5 yr deal.

There isn’t as much money kicking about as previous seasons with many clubs needing to balance the books for FFP and being cautious after what’s happened to Everton and Forest with the bill of cash coming from EPL.
Is Atletico wanted a loan to buy in January at €20m I can’t see where they would be pulling out €40m or £33m to make it happen in this window.
I think we might get to keep him for another season especially that he’s not involved in Euros as there will be more attention on players who have a good tournament. Would be great to have him for another 12 months.

The fact he bossed it in the CL against Athletico is what has drove his price up.

Teams know that he can play at the highest level now.
