Celtic are have a look at Sarder Azmoun of Rostov and Dortmund left back park jo hoo both seen as better quality replacements for cifci and izaguirre.

Generally speaking we should be looking to replace the first team, but with Dembele and Tierney that would be difficult given how much they have to offer at the ages they are at. Probably the only two positions in the team I'd sign a back-up actually.

I wouldn't sign back up for anyone.
I want competition for every position in the team.

Do you not draw a line anywhere though Kev? How much would it cost to buy a Kieran Tierney? One of the best young left backs in Europe. And what would be the point in having two of the best young left backs in Europe? One would prosper, one would stagnate or eventually just become frustrated. I might be wrong and don't know of any options to extend his deal or I haven't heard of any talks but according to (German for 'transfermarket') Izzy's deal is up in the summer. Sometimes, and only sometimes, you need to get somebody in who understands that they are coming in as back up.

I agree with your point jim. We couldn't buy kt but if we had the option of two similar then why not? Lustig and mathews on the right was great when it was available. Kt has enough talent to do a bit past the halfway line and could play further forward and be effective . Right enough it may hamper a tallented lb but there is no doubt in my mind that if we had that option now it would be used regularly. If sinclair wasn't fit it's Roberts and they aren't great defenders. I'd welcome the selection headache. Love izzy but he isn't solid.

If we had the option then sure, a blank cheque book would be great lol. You'd think it would have to be a free agent to get somebody in as good/ promising as KT. Otherwise, given our restrictions, I don't see the point in breaking the bank for a LB, when we have KT. I would rather we concentrate elsewhere. I've cited the Lustig/ Matthews situation before as well bud, but I think we only watched as much of both players because between them they were injured a fair bit. Good headache to have when we had it though!

I heard that we are or about to enter contract talks with Izzy and he Is a good back up to Tierney.

Izzy though has played well since he has came back isn't good enough.
he will not push Tierney for a starting position.
When a player doesn't have competition for a place they become complacent and it affects their game.
Arthur boruc was an example of that and it happened with izzy tae.

Celtic potential targets

Yaya Sonogo- Could be intrest if cifci leaves on loan been interest before in him.

Martin Olsson- would be a great replacment for izaguirre

Robert Snodgrass- be a like for like replacment for commons also a Celtic fan

Andreas Samiras - Surplus for requirements at benfica wouldn't cost to much

Jerry ST Juste- be a upgrade on ambrose could be the next Virgil van Dijk.

Would Rodgers be looking for an upgrade on Ambrose or a replacement of Commons? He doesn't seem to fancy Commons style of play and if he was signing a centre half he would at least hope an upgrade on Jozo or Eric .

I think right now we need a centre mid or 2, and would also like a right winger as paddy won't be here for much longer.
Then a cb to eventually replace toure. Or just give occonnel a chance? Would probably rather a new cb.

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't be too sure about Paddy, he is not in City's plans and will be allowed to leave next summer if what I've been told is correct. Whether we can make it happen will obviously depend on how much City want for him, the wages he's looking for and if Rodgers wants him of course, but I do think the player would be happy to stay up here if it's possible.}

Celtic-scout I'm a rangers fan n I think svienchnko (spelling) should be first name on defensive teams heat he's got everything talent passion and bags of ability probably best thing diela done on the later stages of his celtic career.

Hurford, you are spot on. Him and KT have been our most reliable players all season, in fact I thought they were the only two who put in a decent shift against BMG at home. I would prioritise a RB in January and if he could slot in at RCB, I would see that as a bonus. I would also like someone else to come in for CM, ideally with Bitton moving on as his number is truly up for me. If we tie league up early, I'd also like to see likes of Keleher, Ajer and Aitchison getting some first team action. Btw, is the lad Ralston still at the club?

Yes i would also like to see the youngsters getting some game time if possible, you never know we might have another gem waiting to be unearthed.
