Is there a certain reason why we are playing at 3pm next Sunday or am I just being a wee bit cynical .........DH

Believable5 Unbelievable3

European Game on wednesday.

St Mikey

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you getting at mate?
,.,.kbarry

Agree1 Disagree0

The zombies are playing on Saturday so we got moved

Agree0 Disagree0

To give us time to sober up after playing Barca.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should it be a sunday after weds euro game? no need.
also, shouldnt we, as the SPL side, have the first option on saturday fixtures?
Not eveyrone can make a sun game.
Stevo Dundee

Agree0 Disagree0

It's as a previous poster says its due to them playing on the sat not enough police to play both games at the same time. Think they've had a few moved now, it happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should a 4th tier game take precedent over the Champions of Scotland ........DH

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because you are an spl team doesnt give you the god given right to play on a saturday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not just an SPL team but the Champions of Scotland playing in the top league in Scotland . Compare to a newco getting preferential treatment . Only in this country . Nothing new......DH

Agree0 Disagree0

Zombies dont do sundays so they are gettin a wee day out on the saturday

hope rumours are true celtic will go it alone in the sponership on the shirts next season no need to have joint venture with Newco as they are 4th tier team and no value in deal as Old Firm is now dead remember that the Oldco went with McEwans when Souness arrived left us with CR Smith so despite MSM going on about joint deal is needed we need to be firm and go alone any opinions on this

Believable17 Unbelievable6

Might sound like a daft question but what does MSM actually stand for. pat-c {Ed007's Note - It stands for the 'Mainstream Media'.}

Quick question..would you start Tony Watt on Wednesday ? Mrs E

Believable13 Unbelievable13

I think the only way Watt would start would be if Hooper was injured. Never seen the game today how did Watt play? I know he scored. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

He said in his match intervoew that he didnt play well

Agree0 Disagree0

No too inexperienced. It's another type of football altogether. He needs to develop his game up to that level. Our striker will be a lone out in front figure without much support, Hooper's the guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think hooper will be ok for the berca game as will samaras but tony is young ok but speed power i think i will gamble on him on the last half hr HH,stef1967

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't. I think the game wednesday could be set for him tho. Send him on with 20 minutes to go. Up against a tired makeshift defence he could do some damage ...MrCheshington

Agree0 Disagree0

I see him as off the bench option like a Forrest, late in the game with watt working his boots off and running around could give us something special to sneek a goal from them. I think he could have an impact on barca but I would also give miku a run out since he has faced them before and has scored.

Green Brigade: Important Info re: 125th anniversary display

On the 7th of November, 125 years and one day from Celtic's founding meeting in St Mary's in the Calton, we take on Barcelona in the Champions League.

With brilliant financial backing from the Celtic support, we have organised a fantastic full-stadium display to mark the occasion and celebrate our incredible history and we need EVERY fan to play their part in making it a success. For that to happen, we need everyone to make a big effort to get in early and to follow these instructions.

Do NOT raise the material at your seat during You'll Never Walk Alone. Instead, wait for the cue from the Green Brigade corner at section 111 to do so before the teams come out. With your continued support we can, 125 years on from the founding of our club, continue to show the world just what the great Celtic support can do.

Green Brigade

Believable13 Unbelievable6

I am sure yous will get full support bhoys. .H.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't wait to see it! As you guys are doing a great job, I just hope ppl are there early because I think it is an early kick off so it might be hard and was worried that a lot will be missing for the first 10min or so. But it is barca so and cl so maybe ppl will make the extra effort. Can't wait to see the place rocking and showing the world just what paradise is about!

Agree0 Disagree0

Look forward to being part of that !

Ed is it true Celtic trying to re-sign Nakamura for a season or two?

MikeyBhoy88 {Ed007's Note - It is his agent speaking in Japanese, nobody is actually sure what he is saying. Some people have translated it as him just mentioning his time at CFC, some are saying it is as a coach and some are saying it offers he has from China, the Middle East and CFC. At his age now I can't see him wanting a move that would cause so much upheaval in his life.}

What a calamitous end to what should have been a very tough dug-deep victory.
Broony was knackered around 60 mins (which seems more and more predictable these days) so although 2 defensive subs were necessary early on I think Kayal should have been on for Brown to protect the lead.
That said I haven't seen Dundee Utd play with such energy and fight for weeks and I know they all raise their game against the Champions but we should be able to hold a 2 goal lead so late in the game.
Finally 5 Celtic players booked by William of Collum while Flood and Dillon to name but 2, were unpunished for bad tackles etc. The wee nyaff is as predictable as ma next jobbie. (However why Watt went into the crowd when Miko had been booked was just daft).
Anyway played well for most of the game but lapses again costing us in the SPL; where 6 wins from 11 games is not great in my opinion and all this 'CL distraction' excuses just doesn't cut it for me.
We have the biggest and best squad in the league and so far are too inconsistent for my liking.
We need to be much tighter and sharper on Wed if we want a sniff at a decent result against Barcelona.

Jungle Jim

Believable7 Unbelievable3

The only booking that was unlucky to receive was izzys.

Foolish of watt and miku did. They know you get booked for going to the crowd

Agree0 Disagree0

I know Miku and Watt were daft but can anyone of us really say we wouldn't have done the same especially for Watt who's a young boy and a Celtic man. (Still raging with dropping points) MurphyBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it was the case of went two up, job done and players switched off, bad luck for ambrose own goal , broony is f****d with hip which is why he hardly plays spl football.diff game on wed night but if we show same kind of performance for 90 instead of 80 mins we should be ok................. bhoywonder

Agree0 Disagree0

It is still stupidty - not passion. He is well aware of the rules, regardless if he is a celtic man or not

Agree0 Disagree0

Miku went into crowd fair enough but watt kinda backed off,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Show the same kind of performance on wednesday, wether it be 80 mins or 90 mins, bhoywonder then celtic are in the big trouble, united had more than a few chances to take the lead, if barcas defence is allegedly dodgy, whats celtics? - john

Agree0 Disagree0

John, Good enough to be top of the SPL.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Tambhoy, if rangers were still in spl, then fans would be questioning neil lennon, and the champions league, should have beat benfica at home but got a win in moscow, that cancelled the poor performance at parkhead out. - john

Gutted with the final result today but I'm not worried. Don't think McCourt should have come on for Commons I thought Kayal should have come on for Brown.

On the bright side absolutely chuffed for Miku on getting his first goal for Celtic, really rate the guy and hopefully the first of many and the confidence booster he needed.

MikeyBhoy88

Believable9 Unbelievable5

If Kyal had come on I doubt he would have lasted 5 minutes with Willie Collum. As it was I expected Wanyama to get a red card any minute.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Nov 2012 14:50:04
The change was brown for kayal, not mcourt gave the first goal away, brown was done after 60 mins no legs. The second goal the ref had watched flood push brown down how is that not a free kick and he booked izzy for Russell running into him. Column is a Tosser. Cmac.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Cant give the ref the full blame for conceeding two goals in the last 60seconds. 1 win in 4 games... Any other season we would call for a new gaffer

Agree0 Disagree1

There was a handball right in front of the ref for a united penalty the ref never gave either

Agree0 Disagree0

Far too many players of the same style in the team today. mulgrew should`ve been centre half instead of rogne and this would`ve left a space for miku to start up front with watt leaving commons to play just behind the front 2. team selection by the manager was far too rigid and when miku came on and mulgrew dropped back that is when celtic began to create.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, brown should have went off cause it looked like he was hurting. Not sure what that means for cl cause I thought he would be rested for it, seems a waste of a spot if we could only get 50min from him for cl although he would give his all for it and put in a good shift. Maybe put him in as a late sub to give a little grit then speed in the last part of the game.
Hope today's injuries are not bad and this was a good kick in the behind to wake the guys up and play thier best for barca.

Agree0 Disagree0

To all of the above, get real,I trust Lennys judgement about players and formations more than yours, To the OP spot on re Collum how can anyone watching that see no bookings for Dundee and 5 for Celtic

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on guy's if you expect anything from these Referee's your living in cloud cuckoo land.Especially Mr Collum.

What a kick in the cobblers! cant help but think that we sold the points today. As soon as young Watt scored, another 90 minutes of graft from him again,we should have been about ball retention. At two nil up away from home we dont need to chase for a third, just keep the ball and run them out and the chances will come.To be fair the first Utd goal fell just perfectly for them and the second might have went anywhere, but we were sitting very deep and that will always cause problems.Still,a draw and on to Barca midweek so it's not all bad......... green jhedi

Believable13 Unbelievable7

The SPL is an exciting competitively fought league. Thrilling roller coaster of ups and downs. Entertaining value for money. Much better now than the previous 12 years of performance financial doping by Old historical Rangers.

Ok, for all you clowns that keep asking why McCourt doesn't get a game, there is your answer. A complete waste of time. Cant pass, cant tackle, cant run. Useless. Cost us the three points.

Believable30 Unbelievable10

Couldn't agree more - would be happy if I never see him again

Agree2 Disagree0

100% agree with you

Agree1 Disagree0

My 82 year old granny has more pace than McCourt, Kayal for Brown would have been my last sub, still we will be better and stronger on Wednesday night. johnbhoy79

Agree0 Disagree0

Said it a million times mate.mccourts an imposter.artybhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic have ha many of an opportunity to offload this complete dud! I wonder wh they havent?

Agree0 Disagree0

Better not let the Green Brigade hear you slatting McCourt, but you are all correct. What a waster!

Agree0 Disagree0

Green brigade? How can you defend that? Never a Celtic player in a million years. Get rid. Simples. Should have been Kayal, or at worst Ibrahim.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy McCourt has played better for Celtic. He was very promising not very long ago but the standard at Celtic has improved immensely this season and McCourt is being left behind with the quality of new guys coming in. He'd do a shift for most SPL teams and I would save on salary and get a fee from selling him in 7 weeks@ the January window. He'll also be happier getting first team football regularly elsewhere. Brown at Aberdeen would take him.

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I agree with you in the fact that McCourt is never going to cut it to say he cost us the game is harsh, yes he lost the ball but he lost it in the opponents half from there we still had a corner which we never dealt with properly and a throw in which we allowed to bounce in our own box.

Agree0 Disagree0

Far better players at Celtic than McCourt, his times up, uninspiring ,

If its true that we are likely to lose Hooper in Jan or the summer then wouldn't Watt and Russell make a good partnership ? Both young with great sell on value if they click and perform well.

Would like to see an all Scottish attack at the club , would also help the national squad ( as long as Levein aint in charge )

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Who gives a to$$ about the national squad!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I care about my national team. And i am sure every player who stars for their national team are proud. People who claim players dont like internationals are from nations who are cr*p. ask the spanish team if they are proud to play for their country

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are Scottish and dont care about your national football team there is more of a problem with you than the national team !!
A Scottish attack sounds good to me {Ed007's Note - Why must there be a problem with anyone who doesn't care about their national team? I have no interest in Scotland at all or any other international football team for that matter.
I watch matches/tournaments as a neutral and would prefer to see Germany or Argentina win than anyone else.
International football is getting progressively worse every tournament and it can all be traced back to Diana Ross fluffing her 'penalty kick' at the opening ceremony of the USA94 World Cup.
If people don't care about their national team then that is really up to them, wouldn't you agree?}

Agree0 Disagree0

The thing is though mate our nation is cr*p your contradicting yourself there and 2. Russell to replace hooper c'mon, ,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to see a scottish manager in charge of scotland it takes time to build a team and a squad an other blunder by the sfa 700 000 pay off then to replace him and a new contract for new replacement ok the results were not good this takes time questions have to be asked billy stark seems to be doing a good job at under 21 the minute they become full caps it all goes wrong we have some good players but we dont seem to gel as a national team

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Nov 2012 12:05:31
The wanyama situation is lennys biggest test too come ,he has put a price of 25 mill on his head he needs to stick too this and not one penny less ,as untd not so long ago played every trick in the book too get miller for fu,, all if Lenny is too be took serious as a big player if the 25 mill ain't payed then he has too keep wanyama ther too the end of his contract ,I'm not a fan who wants a player ther that wants away but in this case this is more too soo with Lenny than the player ,so Lenny stick too your guns and don't let pressure from up stairs to sell too fill ther pockets either get too ya ,this is about this biggest decision you will make in your young career as a manger , jodrok

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Get a grip mate. The 25m was a starting point. If a bid of 12-16m was put in and rejected the board would have kittens.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

No way we would get £25mill although it would be fantastic business. I think £15mill would be the most we could get , only because the SPL is nothing special. Yeah I know Vic is awesome in Europe - but there will always be that big game level of consistency missing whilst in the SPL. ie St Johnstone , D.Utd then Barca whereas in EPL it could be Chelsea, Man Utd then Barca

Agree0 Disagree0

Anno I would bite the hand off 12 and above and unearth another gem

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the day its not upto lennon, transfers are a business thing,

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want no trouble but it's fans like yous that keep Celtic in the dark ,fact is I know Celtic is a feeder club for the epl but I would bye far want Wanyama to see out his contract than Lenny let him go for 12 mill ,fact is man untd have fu,,ed Celtic on a few deals ,,miller for one ,fact is they can afford it and we are not in a bad position financial y they want him show Lenny the money, if not go look elsewhere fergie and as for all you that would sell well that says it all don't it

Agree0 Disagree0

Ever since oldco went down the tube most fans have suddenly became financial advisers flogging every player they get their hands on peter (fleece the fans ) lawwell bust be in his glory watching fans fleece themselves i for one still expect value for money and if we cant buy players we should at least try keep the ones we got extend his contract we can still get a return in another few year

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree mate, lenny should hold out for £25m. tbh i would rather see him leave for nothing at end of contract if valuation is not met.

Fair enough, scottish football is not that great, but at the end of the day if celtic can hold their own in champions league againist some of the best players in the world, that surely justifys valuations

Agree0 Disagree0

i have heard wes hoolahan has turned down norwich's latest contract offer.

how much do you think he would be on a week and would we be able to get him?

i think he is the type of player we are missing, someone that plays in the hole, is creative and can play a killer pass.

thoughts?

Believable6 Unbelievable6

You mean like Kris Commons? The inform player in Scotland just now. Hoolahan is a handy player mind you, I'll give you that.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with ^^^^ kris commons better than hoolahan IMO but still could defo do a job in the spl, champions league totally different story

and for that reason alone, although petty, i dont want him
