Checked everywhere even on the Motherwell official site and it still lists the game next week as a Saturday 3pm kick off . Can't remember any of our away games not being on telly especially champs vs top of the league......DH

First time in seven years we are playing away on a Saturday at 3 click. Think last time was against Lexington.

We have to play Saturday as we play Champs league on Tuesday. Arsenal v Chelsea is live Saturday afternoon an Sly doesnt want any other game on at same time!

Aye, Aberdeen, no Celtic. Celtic will take a far bigger audience away from the London derby than Aberdeen did today.

Chelsea v Arsenal is a massive game in the EPL, which no game in the SPL could compete with

Surely we as fans want more 3pm kick off on a saturday, sick of trecking to away games at unsociable times every other week

Hi folks,

I know I'll probably get slated fo rthis, but who cares we all have opinions. Hooper is overweight and is not intersted in playing for the Hoops. Look at his appetite in last years old firm games an year before both 3 nils. But look at his now. OK, he scored yesterday, but 1 goal in 6 league games is shocking. For a lot of Celtic fans, Hooper can do no wrong, but it sickens me when I pay my money and he just does not want to be there. I'd bite your hands off for a 4-5 mill bid because that's all Gary is worth. Overall, however, ood result today, but should be doing better.

Yes hooper looks to be carrying a little extra weight but how on gods green earth do you come to the conclusion that he is not interested this season? we are only 5 or 6 games in to the season, not one single player in that team has played at their best consistently! also take in to consideration just how many new strike partners he has had in a short space of time; Lassad, Miku and Watt have all played along side him. Tony Watt credited his two goals a few weeks ago to Hooper and said that he helped him through the game and is a model professional - hardly sounds like somebody that is not interested. Players will have some bad games but you are writing off a guy that is worth 25 goals a season easily! Judge him at the end of the season, proably when he is top golascorer in the country AGAIN!

Thank you my man, there I thought I was the only one! I posted something similar yesterday and got slated for it, with a lot of stats...like 2 goals in 5 euro matches, and 1 goal in 6 in the league matches...so that's 3 goals in 11 maches! Not good enough! Someone said his link up play is good, not doubting that, but that's not what's he's in the team to do...if it was stokes or sammy we would be calling for their heads...infact I believe sammy was being sold by the hoops faithfull this time last year, but when its hooper it seems to be ok! And ur right he doesn't want to be here anymore, he wanted away in summer but NL couldn't get a replacement for him, just back up for him! I believe if we got a decent striker he would have been sold! Even NL says we aren't good enough in final third, are the faithful that come on here going to slate lenny, doubt it as yous say ' in lenny we trust' if that's the case, we should be trusted cause we are seeing what he see's, I read it today...he said we just aren't good enough infront of goal...and who's job is it to be good infront of goal? Hoopers! But hey his link up play is good so it doesn't matter if he scores goals!

A tad early for such strong criticism. But his stats have to Improve. He is a bit of a poster boy which buys him some slack with some fans. Perhaps a spell warming the bench with young Watt given the starts will help hooper regain lost focus.

I am convinced he wanted a move in the Summer and is a bit deflated as a result.
His work-rate is good but his sharpness is missing and that will affect his confidence.
We have a few really off-form players in the team and obviously with several injuries, we can't rest/drop guys that are under par. But a run of good results and a few guys coming back will see us improve.

He may be a bit off form in your mind but I guess you don't see him running around coming back to mid to help move the ball. He scored and hit the post, he has had his shots on net but has been stoped, and what about his passing??have you seen that? For he has set up most of our goals scored, like commons goal in cl.
The team as normal has a slow start but has woken up and you will see his worth in the next couple of games. I for one am glad you have nothing to do with transfers because if he dosent score you say he is crap and fail to see his overall game, grow up and stop talking crap, 5mill for the guy who has been in the top5 in scoring in all of Europe last few seasons shows you know nothing. Wake up for seems like you are losing your common sense like the zombie fans.

I can see why some fans get irritated with Hooper. For me he is a good player and an effective striker but he isn't so bright up top. He is not a thinker and when he has to think he forgets how to do the natural stuff, the stuff that he is good at; like poaching goals, seeing where the space is and gaining a yard on a defender. He is stronger than he is given credit for and he will come good. If he thinks too much he misses. Please give him some credit for mentoring young Watt. its not an easy thing to do, and given strikers are the most selfish players on the park to help a young pro at the expense of his own game was impressive. My issue with him is he wants to leave, if he just got on with enjoying his game and doing a job for the Hoops come what may all would be well. Sopot Celt

To the above post I think ur the zombie fan...like I have said u can work all day long, but his job is to score goals...link up play is good but he doesn't have the bite this season so far! I'm fed up hearing about his link up play with mid and his passing...is that no what, forrest, commons ,d broon are for? Yeah we need a striker coming to collect the ball, but when ur in your own half, u become non-effective and as a celtic striker that isn't good enough! Are u going to tweet lenny and say the same? Doubt it! The guy said himself that the final third isn't good enough, hooper is a box striker and at his best when he's there! Not been there often enough for my liking, not when he's our out and out striker! I also said the other day that he should warm the bench for half a game here and there, see if that helps...young tony watt could do what hooper does, but I bet as soon as he looked flat we would be saying, bench him for a bit. I heard it all last season with sammy, then when he performs against sevco...he's a instant hero! Hooper might be our best striker, but he needs to know that he's not the only one we have in the squad big higdon has better stats than him this season so far, u saying we should sign hin, 7 in 4 I believe? Not sayin he is celtic class, but everyone is banging on about stats, well there is one for you! Give him to jan let's see if he's still wearing the hoops.

Relax dude, I never called you a zombie fan did I? Your right in that he needs to know he is not the only option and that coming off the bench might wake him up(like it did last year) but what the point was us that you go on saying he is only worth 4 mill and you would want rid of him ASAP. We went through the same thing last year for not every striker scores every week and has a bad spell, but relax!!!(since you like using !) it's the start of the season! Did you not like him turning the defenders inside out in the game with his goal(BEUTAFULL!) and hitting the post? Seems to me he is waking up and will be on the score sheet alot in the next few games.

I have said on here before in defence of gary hooper give him some decent service and he will score goals .how many clear cut chances have been created by the vastly overrated and under performer forrest this season .strikers need help from others in the team and in my opinion that has been sadly lacking recently.

Read McCoists goals record recently but worked the other way he had over 230 games without scoring for Rangers, and that's if he only scored one goal in each game (of course he scored more than one in some games) so he had over 230 games with no goals.

Gary Hooper did not want away. Gary Hooper wanted a crack at the champions league with Celtic 1st. He will sign a new contract. He will leave next summer. He had options in the summer but wanted to stay. Please believe me. All that is missing is a few goals and no one would be talking like this as his all round play is better than last season. As for weight? He's lighter than last year at present. Please relax folks. He will start scoring freely again soon.

Hooper needs service and the only one in the current starting 11 to do this is Commons. Time for others to step.

Hooper scores goals. he had a slow start to the season but scored goals regardless. The fans that want him to go are the same who would have been delighted if e signed Everton reserve James Vaughn. get a grip guys. Miku does not challenge for headers and to me does not look interested buy hes praised wtf {Ed001's Note - James Vaughan is a Norwich player!}
