Just been reading that the SFA have just docked Dundee United 3 points and fined them £30000 for fielding 2 ineligible players against ICT. If they are setting this precident and when Hector wins his case against you know who then their tax dodging chairman will not get much change from his make believe 30 million warchest. Then again the SFA make the rules to suit. Interesting times ahead.

The SFA have and will bend over backwards to accomodate Rangers. The Crown will turn them over though - funny how things work out.

David Moyes or Brendan Rodgers with Steve Clarke as assistant would be my preferred choice. Great knowledge of Europe between them.

Did they used to watch Michael Palin series together or something?

Some chance of getting Stevie Clarke to come to Celtic as an assistant to Moyes or Rodgers.

Why do people keep trying to handpick an assistant. Most of us didn't like the fact that JC was instated by PL. So why then start throwing names into a hat for No2s. Whoever gets the managers job should decide and that should be that.

{Ed007's Note - Go back and read through the posts on here and you'll find that most people were pleased, some were even delighted, at Collins' appointment.}

Spot on. To appoint JC was a crazy move. He has a massive ego and was surprised he accepted no. 2 slot. He probably thought that RD would not last and he would replace him. Just hope he is dumped as well.

Hi everyone, not posted for a while due to work commitments. I have been watching the Asian Games football on tv here in Thailand and I must admit the Thai Goalkeeper is worth a look at.

He commands his area, comes for crosses and makes himself big on one on one situations. He is a regular for club and country and is 24.

He certainly fits our signing policy and would not cost too much. Here is a You Tube link to some his saves 2 years ago:

He is doing exactly the same at the Asian Games and he only conceded his 1st goal after 6 and half games to South Korea, the hosts and favourites.

Let me know your thoughts.
Cheers Kendobhoy.

One more thing before I go to bed here in Thailand. But can anyone else think of a defensive, midfield or striking duo of any note? The last ones I can remember were Caldwell and Big Mac, Broonie and Ledley/Ki and Scottie Mac and Van H. I think we should try to get the same again and only hope that PL gets the f"""en cheque book out to do so.

This is my thought rather than my fellow Celts here in Thailand. But I think that VVD is very much like Paul Elliot in the way that he plays and thinks about the game. What is anyone else's thoughts?

1.) Too lackadaisacal for me mate, I thought he could have caught the boy who scored the first goal but seemed to think issy would deal with it and this has happened on a few occasion's,

Yes I would Stennybhoy.

I would go for an experienced manager like Michael Laudrup with Henke and Lubo in as assistants. That management team would put out a positive attacking team with great passing and put bums on seats.

{Ed007's Note - Laudrup left Swansea in a terrible mess behind the scenes Kendo, his attitude was stinking and his ego caused all sorts of problems. He even refused to take training if it was raining.}

This is a different topic. But I heard today that Juventus have broken the European record for points accrued in a league season. That amounts to 102 beating Saint MON by one point. If it was not for the 2 utter collapsed 3-3 draws against Well and Saints we would have had 103 points. In a season of breaking records this must have been the worst one we missed as it would have made our European foes take notice. Jock Stein would never have let us live on our laurels even after the league was won.

I have not posted in a long time. But the way I see it is that we really need to sign a player that can get the fans rising from their seats as we have not had one since Henke. All that is required is for the board and PL to dig deep and find one because until that time we will have a 45,000 audience. However when we find another TB, Jinky, Henke or Lubo we will have 60,000 happy Celts. Then we will have a happy board willing to spend cash for other departments of the team that will only strengten our bid in Europe.

{Ed007's Note - Welcome back Kendo, I totally agree with you here but remember we did buy Leigh Griffiths.}

Hi ChrisBhoy, Great post. You are spot on the Deady Bears will fall for anything. They are totally thick. I just read the comments on the other side with regards last nights meeting. They raised approx 23m from IPO and 8m from this years ST sales but there is only 10m left in the pot. You do not have to be Einstein to work out that the 21m shortfall is about the same amount of money CW borrowed from Ticketus for his fakeover. The Deady Bears cannot see this due to their WATP attitude and rush to get to the top to stop us doing 10 in a row and more.
