Don't really blame lawell you wouldn't buy a faulty car and if u did you'd be looking for a lower price.

It wasn't meant to be. Good Luck to him in the future, but he won't be winning medals with us, a pity though, I watched Lenny on CTV last night and he definitely wanted him at CP.

I would buy a faulty car I’d just fix it? It’s minor surgery fir god sake 10weeks out total, what a joke should of just bought him I know there’s going to be some on here saying the opposite so before you start I’m entitled to this opinion that if the club have really offered a severely reduced amount they are ridiculous he would of been ready by middle September on a 4 year deal what’s ten weeks rogic is out for more than 20 every season this boy played just about every game last season no injury’s isn’t in pain it’s the scan that’s picked something extremely small up joke this like.

Firstly disappointed for Turnbull he finishes off a good season goes to go for medical for new club then all of a sudden he’s having to go for an operation will be out of football for a good while now he’s worse off from where he ended his good season. He’s young enough so will make him stronger but with the with this was handled he will not be wearing a Celtic jersey again. Why did we release thoughs dame pics.

The club have done the right thing. He requires knee ligament surgery which is likely to sideline home for a minimum of 3 months and that’s providing the surgery goes well. Hopefully he recovers puts in some decent performances for Motherwell and then we can revisit the deal in January or next summer.

I appreciate the risk and it's a shame it couldn't be overcome and I hope it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse.

My aunt had minor surgery to remove a piece of glass from her eye and we buried her three days later as she never woke up from the anaesthetic.

I bet he goes norwich.

I’ve had the same surgery and was playing again within 8 weeks I believe rogic had similar surgery and was training after 6 weeks but rogic is a wreck he’s had 2 knee injuries then decided on surgery and then knee injured again the boy is on the table more than Ronnie O’Sullivan, we need an attack mid that scores in my opinion cm we are well covered in fact need to sell a few.

Chris boy Motherwell said in their statement that they didn't know how long he will be out, so how do you know.
Celtic have got every right not to want to pay in case it ends up more serious than they think it is now.
We could have ended up with another Derek borrigtor.

£3m better spent elsewhere👍.

Agree kev they've done the right thing who knows they might have agreed to go back at Xmas if he's playing well.

I blame commper deal look at him we bought a donkey instead of a racehorse and simply Celtic don’t want to be bitten again lol.

I have no magic ball that can tell me how long he will Ben be out to the day Kev but minor surgery on a ligament is no longer than ten weeks that’s being generous he would be running between 3-5 weeks after the surgery easily, and celtic can do what they like obviously they ha e the right to pull out my opinion is they shouldn’t of pulled out so what’s your point?

15.) 27 Jun 2019
27 Jun 2019 14:19:38
Celtic didn’t pull out they wanted to protect themselves and were going to get him on loan then buy in January according to the papers so a compromise of the original terms couldn’t be reached so both clubs called it off and Motherwell issued Thea statements first.

Comparing turnbull to commper of even rogic again imo is not on the same page he’s 19 and will recover fine, what’s that I hear HOW DO YOU KNOW CHRIS 😆 well let's just wait and see but the chances of anything going wrong with minor ligament prevention surgery is basically the same as winning the lottery he hasn’t blown his ligaments or anything it’s just prevention, I’ve been around it my whole life I’m a therapist myself and been around Knee injury’s as a player for over 10 years so I do think I’ve got a good understanding of it all, end of the day what’s done is done hopefully he gets back to business smashing the goals in again and hopefully we get him in January.

Two points chris, 1. You are not a professional athlete therefore the demands between you playing fives with your fat mates isn’t the same as a professional game playing countless games over the season and 2. You say Rogic had similar surgery and was back within 6 weeks but has since had another two knee injuries, so judging by that he’s maybe came back to early?

18.) 27 Jun 2019
27 Jun 2019 15:17:48
Chrisbhoy7, the club have done exactly the right thing. Let Motherwell take the risk (minimal as it may be) getting him back to fitness and then if he gets back to the form he was in we can always bid for him again in the future. There is always a risk that other teams will compete for his signature but that's life.

27 Jun 2019 15:44:32
My point is your point is nonsense.
You don't actually know how serious or minor it is. Your going with press and Twitter rubbish.
You have no idea if it will be 10 weeks or 10 months
You have no idea if when they open the knee up that it could be worse then they thought.

Questions have to be asked about this

a. Were Motherwell aware of a problem. I'm sure any competent doctor would have picked it up.

b. If they were aware why not disclose it.

Celtic are right to go back to them to re-negotiate the deal in the light of new information. Also consider this, at Motherwell he is under their insurance and will be covered for the op. Celtics insurers will say its a pre-existing condition so we will not cover it, therefore either the club or the player has to pay the medical bill. And now every other club will be alerted to the fact that there is a problem so he will be going nowhere. Its a shame for the kid but hopefully Motherwell do the right thing by him and get the op done so he can return next season and do well for them again.

We don’t know how bad the injury is. If we are pulling out altogether, it’s obviously not something simple. Being out ten weeks is nothing if he would be fine after that period.

If he recovers we could go back, only issue is if he keeps progressing then we can wave goodbye to £3m fee, or even getting him at all. Can’t inagine he would want to, especially if he gets even better. It’s a gamble and only time will tell if it was the right decision.

Magic this time next season he will only have a year left on his contract so can see his price jumping to much. Also if he’s out a while will anyone gamble in January?
