Unbelievable the abuse you get for pointing out the stupidity of some supporter's actions. I am on a few Celtic pages on FB.
I have followed Celtic since the late 1950's (first game was against Third Lanark so you do the maths lol)
The destruction of seats, the coin throwing, the pyrotechnics and the crowd rush are all deemed as acceptable.
When I tried to point out that the authorities and media have always had a bias against us and that all we are doing is giving them an excuse with evidence to criticise and punish us the intelligent and obviously well thought-out response was.
"F**ck them, Up the ra, cheap fu**ing paper seats anyway, Boyd's a c*nt who deserves worse, SFA can get tae f*ck. " Of course, the usual, "They get away with it so why should we not do it? " was also used.
It hurts and saddens me to see these people still don't understand that the perfect way to really upset the authorities etc. is by winning trophies and not giving them any excuses to attack our supporters. (long rant but at least I get intelligent banter on here H. H.

Well said TinyTim. No place at our club for people who have no respect for its history and foundations. That's what sets us apart from others.

Football fans are a different breed nowadays Tim. Not just alcohol, they are high on drugs as well. I drive fans to away matches and find all sort of drugs and substances stuffed down the seats. You always get some bams on an away trips, they normally sit at the back throwing stuff and destroying seats.

Well said Tim, it's disgraceful conduct so called Celtic fans, i'm sure they apply such standards in all parts of their lives.

That's one thing I can say for the Ozzies here, very little trouble at the sporting grounds and you can drink a coldie watching the game, very pleasant indeed.

Downunderbhoy, Very little trouble at football in Scotland either, which maybe explains why there is so much condemnation of someone tossing a coin, even at a low life like Boyd . We don't know whether seats were broken maliciously but I am sure Celtic football club will pay for repair or replacement .
We need extra care that we are not associated with this type of behaviour .
Talking about fan behaviour, I would like to mention again, the relatively small number of loud - mouths who roar abuse at individual Celtic players . That loud roar is bound to have detrimental effect on player at the receipt of abuse . It can also effect the nervous anticipation in crowd and turn a happy atmosphere into an angry one and effect other fans and can lead to more than words thrown.

Acting like clowns, aye. However what is up with pyrotechnics at football?

Very good point, OMC, about shouting abuse at our own players. On a good night, the fans can be worth an extra goal. On a bad night, they can probably prevent us from scoring.
