As we draw near the end of the season, I am sure most of us are happy with our success and a reasonable rememberance to the wonderful 1967 Lisbon Lions . Every good team needs a good manager and despite or two concerns about the whiteness of his teeth, Brendan Rodgers has had a major positive influence over almost everything to do with Celtic . Like Stein and MO'N he has fantastic well placed self confidence . This means he does what he can do well, and delegates and employs others ( if necessary) to do the things he isn't strongest at .
Man management is one of his strengths and he has improved beyond recognition many of the players he inherited . Brendan also has an eye for outstanding talent and proved when buying Sinclair and Dembele that rare talent can be picked up for just peanuts .
The future is green and white and no doubt Brendan will keep everyone firmly on the ground and hopefully finish this season a treble, we will move seamlessly to and through Champions League qualification.

Excellent post! We should have nothing to fear in next season's CL qualifiers with the team as strong and confident as they are.

Old man Chris, unlike the last manager, about whom, I disagreed with you about everything, I totally agree with your analysis of Brendan's season.

Good to read you posting again old Bhoy, Brendan has done a magnificent job but compared to aindohs favourite Ronny, Brendan has had much more say with pl focussing on what he does best n we r signing a better quality player. I expect big things from Brendan n i fully believe he will deliver season after season of success with progress at champions league level.
Aindoh get over Ronny mate, not everything has to be compared against him.
Here we go 10 in a row.

Its hard to imagine, some of our fans wanted Moyes .
He would have given some of the SMSM reporters a slap within a month .

No doubt we are a super well coached team with every player doing their best every time they go out to play, but getting through the Qualifliers and Play-off for Champions League is not a given . We can take no chances and it is a dangerous road, long travel, pre- season searing heat, problems .
However I think we will get through.

We "should" have enough to get through considering we made it this season with the team playing not even half as good as they are now. That was before Armstrong, McGregor, Jozo, Brown and Dembele had reached some of the form they have. And we may well strengthen further before them too.

I am well over him, Bigshaw, I was just comparing how Oldbhoy would disagree and slaughter me for my criticism of Ronnie, and now we are in harmony of opinion about Brendan season, although in another post I see him blaming the supporters for Stefan's departure, whereas I think it was Ronnie's failure of man management, playing Stefan when his form was bad, or when he was injured, and that in turn affected his confidence, and that became a cycle, the more Ronnie played him, the lower his confidence got and the worse his performances became, instead of giving a rest in the development team and a chance to get his form back.
