Aidan Nesbitt to Mk Dons. Looks like a permanent deal.

29 Jan 2017 16:08:38
Bojan away to Mainz in Germany on loan. Another one scored off.

07 Aug 2016 23:08:55
Just read the news a few people have been dreading. BR telling James Forrest he does have a future at Celtic and it is now up to his agent and the club to sort out a new contract for him.

1.) 08 Aug 2016 06:35:12
He said it on live TV and so why people are ticking unbelievable is beyond me.

2.) 08 Aug 2016 11:06:46
Probably because they don't it to be true.

3.) 08 Aug 2016 12:04:34
The disagree button on here is a pile of mince. Reckon some people just do it automatically (cue the cunny funts)

4.) 08 Aug 2016 12:22:08
Has he not played well recently?

Let's see how he performs this season under BR as he may finally be a player worth keeping.

5.) 08 Aug 2016 13:05:41
Worth keeping imo played well in games this season scored yesterday and played 90 mins br knows who he needs and who he doesn't.

6.) 08 Aug 2016 14:53:29
I have been impressed by Forrest in the last few games but his consistency is the problem, if BR can get that from him I don't see any reason why we shouldn't give him a contract.

7.) 08 Aug 2016 15:17:55
Even if its just to sell him at the end of season rather than loose him in December for free.

8.) 08 Aug 2016 15:52:16
For rest has been putting on a crazy effort since the season started. I watched him bust a gut against Astana tracking back. This is the absolute minimum BR is requiring. It works too. For rest will need to consistently beat his man and find the cross as the end product. Personally I think he Wi lose interest or pick up an injury. From BRs point of view he came and was faced with these Euro qualifiers. What could he do but get them all on side till we get through this and then I am sure the new faces will arrive and certain people will go. He has done brilliantly so far man management wise.

9.) 08 Aug 2016 17:16:28
Back in the day I was a huge Forrest fan, if he can find form, sign him up.

10.) 08 Aug 2016 19:55:20
He played well yesterday to be fsir to him but he's been living off that Karagandy goal for 3 seasons now and you could count the number of times he's played well since on one hand. It reeks of playing for a new deal before he sinks back into injury and inconsistency.

11.) 09 Aug 2016 16:27:56
I think forrest is worth another season and unfortunately for that he requires a contract. I've been suprised by his effort under br although still think he drifts in and out of games.
It's a clean slate for me nobody was exactly pushing the boundaries under Rd so give everyone a shot.

Oh except efe, boyata and CG 😁.

11 Jan 2016 18:00:00
Rogic to Leeds starting to appear on a few sites. Talking about £1 million. Would you take that for him? Starting to show his worth but how far away is his next injury?

1.) 11 Jan 2016 18:15:55
I'd be absolutely fuming if we sold him for that I think this bhoy can be something special!

2.) 11 Jan 2016 18:39:43
No chance, If the board sell him for that then they all need sacked.

3.) 11 Jan 2016 18:45:02
I would hope they would at least hold out for more. He's still young £1m is an insult if we was buying Rogic from Leeds they'd want about £4-5m for him!

4.) 11 Jan 2016 19:52:43
He's really come on this year. Wouldn't be chuffed if that happened.

5.) 11 Jan 2016 20:01:31
It's not even his next injury, he's only had a couple of good games in the SPL, and as usual fans are raving about him! He was poor in Europe and cost us a school boy goal! He's also only got just over a year on his contract and we don't know what he's asking for! It's the same as Scott Allan, he's done nothing except having 1 good season for Hibs! I'd prefer Rogic to GMS, but I'd prefer Mane to Rogic! We also have Christie who is a left footed no 10 type! We need quality down the spine! Centre half, holding midfield, and a real no 9 to play with/ compete with Griffiths! Commons has also been awful this year, and I'd happily let him leave!

6.) 11 Jan 2016 20:08:23
Sorry I meant to say £1.5/ £2 million would probably be fair for Rogic! I'd prefer more, and I'd be happy if he stayed but none of our players are that good that they're unsaleable! I'd take £10 million for Biton in a heartbeat, he's good but doesn't put himself about enough, dominate enough, especially being 6'5". Rogic is also a little like that, for someone at 6'2" he is also a little lightweight. I've said it before, this is the softest Celtic team I have seen in 30 years!

7.) 11 Jan 2016 20:40:50
Just to justify that - I don't mean I'm happy for us to sell our best players, only that they should be truly judged in Europe, not the SPL! Also selling players isn't the problem, the problem is we don't replace them with quality! We replace them with more projects, putting us back 2 years or whatever! I have to say though that the players we have been linked with this window sound better! I'd be happy with Mane, the Croation midfielder, a striker and an aggressive centre half! Mocinic and Mane are young but they are pretty experienced!

8.) 11 Jan 2016 22:16:16
I wouldn't sell him for as little as that but I think with the midfielders we already have at the club and being linked with more we should at least consider offers for ANY of the guys we already have at the club.

9.) 12 Jan 2016 08:00:38
Couldn't care how much he goes for. Chances are he won't be replaced.

10.) 12 Jan 2016 16:28:01
I wouldn't want to see him leave, especially for £1m. He's been one of the only positives about this season so far, keeping free of injury and getting a few goals. If he keeps it up he'll reach double figures from midfield. Stefan Johansen on the other hand hasn't kicked his arse all season, his first good game was Sunday. I'd genuinely have Rogic (or Armstrong) instead of him until he gives himself a massive shake.

11.) 12 Jan 2016 16:48:57
If he continues the way he has been progressing then we will have a very stable squad player for us. Still a few parts of is game are missing but 1m? If true leeds can get to #.

12.) 12 Jan 2016 18:05:20
Does it matter how much we get for a player if it is not going to be reinvested on a like for like manner? Same applies to CL. If money is not going to be reinvested, then monetary values mean nothing.

13.) 12 Jan 2016 22:08:38

We are never going to be able to replace a Forster with another England international keeper or a VVD with a Dutch international centre-back probably because Dundee United don't have either!!

Seriously though we do have to start investing in key positions. Why are we being linked with more midfielders when we all know we are weak in every position but that?

08 Jan 2015 21:34:37
On Celtic rumours Now and that we are looking at ex-Hibs striker Eoin Doyle. Hope not.

1.) 08 Jan 2015 22:32:01
I hope not think this is the worst target we have been linked with in a long time I have no idea what deila is thinking am not looking forward to the rest of this month. If like Armstrong and Gudetti on a permenent deal and possibly a CB I'd be happy and am telling you's all now we will lose out on GMS because they will penny pinch they could have him if they wanted in celtics defence united out of order wanting 2million for someone who's contract is up in the summer.

2.) Sam,
I think you are talking pish regarding the £2million fee. GMS will be sold if anyone offers £0.5million in my opinion as never mind Dundee Utd Celtic would sell any player in January for£0.5 million if they were out of contract in the summer for free unless they knew there was still a chance of keeping them on ie Kris Commons do you think for one minute Celtic would not sell Commons if they thought they had a chance of him staying? I think not. Now I am a Celtic supporter the same as most people on here but at the end of the day and sadly so it is now a business and because of that the hopes and dreams of all Celtic supporters is now secondary to the business model.
Hail Hail Celtic 'til I die.

3.) Did Celtic not sign Gary Hooper who had scored less goals than Eoin Doyle has scored in the same division?
Now I know it didn't work out for him at Hibs but he played as a lone striker a lot of the time in a pish poor Hibs team so don't be so quick to condemn him. I do however think Celtic should be looking at players of a much higher profile than Doyle to appease the fans and to convince them that the club has indeed got some f$%k!~g ambition instead of being a cash cow for the effing money grabbing shareholders who are not interested in Celtic for the right reasons.
Perhaps the money grabbing bar stewards want to look into the history of the club and see why it was formed in the first place.
Rant Over. and OVER.

4.) Eoin Doyle could be a good signing for us, I think he is a late developer and could score a lot of goals for us .
If Celtic want GMS, they will get him for

5.) Doyle is in league 1 hooper was in the championship and got relegated when we signed him

6.) 09 Jan 2015 21:39:12
Difference being gunnie Doyle has been tested in spfl and failed, griffths played for same club and was a success and still struggles to get a game, is Doyle going to be no.1 striker at £1.5 that's a dear sub, will he play scepovic and Doyle together and completely change formation? I have deliberately left guidetti out as doesn't look like he will be here come summer

Musonda confirmed.

1.) 29 Jan 2018 21:37:34
Never even knew he was baptised or made his first communion lol.

2.) 29 Jan 2018 21:55:18
That’s great news, think he’ll be on the bench tomorrow night.
I know a lot of people might not agree with me on this:
We should consider John Souttar from Hearts. I’ve watched over the years to see how he’s progressed from Dundee Utd to Hearts and I’ve been impressed. The guy came back from a bad injury and I believe he would be great for us. Don’t think he would cost a fortune either.
Other to you guys:
Agree or I’m I talking p**h?

3.) 29 Jan 2018 21:57:43
Best one yet Tim, 😀😀.

4.) 29 Jan 2018 22:24:33
I was lucky to go to a real betis game last year. They were playing Valencia. I think it was musondas debut for them ( not sure ) . This boy was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch. He was outstanding. I think ed already said it but this boy will go right to the top. He is better than Dembele and for us to get him is an incredible achievement from the board. He will run riot in Scotland.

5.) 30 Jan 2018 07:31:44

That is why the signing took so long to announce. Medical, baptism, communion and confirmation all needed first.

6.) 30 Jan 2018 09:02:33
After I watched the youtube clips Ed out us onto I thought this boy is fecking brilliant. Then I thought, aw naw, some richer club might nip in and steal him. So I was delighted we got him. Rogers was saying 24 clubs were wanting him. I'm actually glad I never knew that as this would have made it a more nervous couple of days.

I've watched it about five times now and you need to lunch yourself that we git him.

Credit were it's due. I'm never slow archiving the board pelters when they dither. Well done Peter. Now get us a couple of defenders and I may consider going back to Mass as there may indeed be a god after all.

29 Jan 2018 10:07:06
Evening Times reporting Musonda has arrived in Glasgow. No pictures or fanfare like Murphy or Cummings though!

25 Jan 2018 06:34:37

Any truth in the rumour you are about to turn off the rumours page as their are no rumours? 😂

I'm actually starting to miss Skinnybhoy. That's how bad it is!

I'm still confident we have some irons in the fire and will do some of that "revolving door" business that BR talked about.

{Ed007's Note - It's not that bad!!! :-D

1.) 25 Jan 2018 12:00:56
OK Rumour No 1
Celtic have submitted a £10m bid to bring Morelas to Celtic Park, with Dembele going to them on loan lol.

2.) 25 Jan 2018 17:45:25

That deserves its own post on the rumours page!

I admit I used to be in the panty wetters club but confident we will do something but even if we don’t we have enough in the squad to win the league.

{Ed007's Note - There's nothing wrong with wetting yourself about transfers, Niall lol

New image uploaded to the
Celtic Player Sightings page entitled, My, my how the tables have turned

27 Oct 2017 19:52:49

Tried to share a photo of the final 1993-94 League table as found it funny when looking at the current table that Aberdeen and Motherwell split Celtic (4th) and Rangers.

Love how the table has turned with us top and Sevco 4th, split by Aberdeen and Motherwell. Also funny that Hibs were 5th and Hearts 7th in both tables.

Reason for the post was that this was never a problem in 1994 but us being so far ahead of the rest seems to be an issue now.

1.) 27 Oct 2017 21:03:16
Exactly mate did you hear that horses arse souness spouting that Scottish football is dead with a rangers in it they said that when the original rangers died from cheating does he want this new one to go down the same route.

2.) 27 Oct 2017 21:06:27
I was just talking about the same thing the other day, no one seemed to mind while they were going out spending money they couldn’t afford on English and Dutch internationals while we were signing players like muggleton and vidar riseth to compete . There was no talk of tainted titles then or didn’t count as there was no challenge .

3.) 27 Oct 2017 21:22:37
Exactly where was the headlines back then saying "scottish football need a strong celtic team"

4.) 27 Oct 2017 21:47:49
My earliest memories are of Celtic finishing third or fourth. And bhoy does it taste sweet now.

I can't say I remember the media's or society's assessment of it all, but like the posters above have said, I'm assured by family and friends that there was not the begrudgement there is right now.

All I seem to see and hear from the Klan and the 'pundits' (some of which by the way had to endure being a Celtic player during Rangers' period of domination through doping) is that our success is somehow down to a lack of competition.

Worse yet, it's twisted in a way that, the other teams being shit, is somehow OUR fault.

GIRFUY (and get used to it too)

5.) 27 Oct 2017 22:27:48
I’d love for our league to be much more competitive because it would drive us to be even better but you get these pundits who’d happily see us nosedive into similar mediocrity as the rest in the name of “competition”. It’s up to the rest to drag themselves to our level, not the other way round.

6.) 28 Oct 2017 01:39:04
They NEVERN will kev. The spl missed the boat with sponsorship and TV deals and made some howlers in the process. It's the cl money, scouting lucky finds, fan base and tight admin that have elevated us to the position we are in. We all know we should of spent more this summer covering positions and could of, should of and didnt. Take that down a level for the teams in the top six bar rangers and they can't build teams to compete. Give Aberdeen 8m or hibs, they won't win the title but they would narrow the point gap at the end of the season. As long as we keep doing the same things consistently we will be the only show in town.
Gutted 😉.

7.) 28 Oct 2017 02:17:23
We are in a position now where we would be outraged if kt and the moose went for 15m each. Look at the top 6 spl clubs. How far would that money go? 2 players v multiple squads. Those pundits know that, we know that. Let them have column space or social media hits. I honestly don't know when we will have a competitive league again unless a big investor pisses a champ man dream down the plughole.

Lustig has had a few bad games and to be honest he is probably his own worst enemy by not holding his hand up earlier and admitting he is stuggling.

He still has enough about him when fit to be a good option for us.

Too many people too quick to put a bolt gun to a players head after a few poor games.

I wouldn’t say we don’t have a good right back but now understand your point.

Lustig has served us well and has come a long way from the player who shared the RB slot with Adam Matthews because NEITHER could keep fit.

I would expect to see Ralston become our regular right back next season with Lustig kept in an Izzy role to help him. If he doesn’t fancy that then he could be moved on.

I also would have expected Gamboa to move on in this window but that hasn’t happened so struggle to justify bringing in a fourth right back now.

We can’t just buy a new player when someone is out injured for 2 weeks. The squad is bloated enough.

I would be more worried about who would fill in if KT got injured.

How many do we need?

Currently we have Gamboa and Ralston who play there. Ajar and Boyata could fill in there too if desperate.

Agreed. I was happy with Zal on the bench too as he gave me a heart attack when he was on the park.

I suppose for me it depends who he brings in. I was expecting someone a bit better than Kello or Kiraly who have been mentioned (as jokes) .

I was hoping it might be a Ward type on loan with a view to buying in the Summer and him becoming the number 1. BR has just lowered my expectations that it will be a stop gap with Gordon retaking the number 1 slot and staying there next season.

No bother Kev.

Agree we should have kicked on but after an unbeaten season it is hard to replace players who have really done nothing wrong.

I also think one of our big issues is moving players on. I would have expect to get a fee for Sviatchenko but every possibility he will be back after his loan ends as they won’t be able to afford the fee. I would have thought Gamboa would have gone, possibly Simunovic too. Maybe a few of the midfield too if there weren’t so many injuries. Plus we are still carrying deadwood like Allan and Ciftci who we will be lucky to see a fraction of the money we paid for them back.

To be honest the quicker we are out the EL the better. The Thursday nights are a killer and there is no real money in it for us.

That it JJ.

We all love our club and apologies for telling you to go support another team. Just some of the criticism after this game has been a bit OTT in my opinion.

We are in a tough position where we are so far ahead domestically and so far behind on the European stage. We don’t need to invest massively to win our own league but investing for a good champions league run isn’t going to guarantee success.

I think we are heading in the right direction but agree that we could invest a bit more in the playing side but again tough to get the right players in with the over-inflated market over the border.

Who threw you a bone?

I bet Ed will be amazed to hear me described as someone who wears green tinted specs. I used to be Mr Negative under Lennon and Delia (nothing like the current moaning though) but I haven’t had anything to be unhappy about yet under Rodgers. 2 champions league appearances, 4 trophies out of 4, treble, invincible season, record breaking unbeaten run, keeping hold of our best players who would have been sold under previous managers, investment in a new pitch, youth players getting a chance. I mean loads for me to moan about!

It seems a few have forgotten the words of the songs they sing “faithful through and through”. Rodgers will sort out this wobble we have been having and any players not performing to his high standard will be shown the door.

And “yes” I do believe we can beat Zenit. I know nothing about them but they either weren’t good enough to qualify for the champions league or dropped out because they weren’t good enough to finish in the top 2 of their section. Either way we have nothing to fear.

The guy isn’t clever enough to realise that.

So let’s spend the £30 million we made through the champions league and even add the £7 million we made on VVD.
Bayern Munich spend 62.5 million Euros on 2 players last Summer. PSG spend 238 million Euros on 2 players too.
Do you think us spending £37 million is going to even get us near to the next level?

Or do you reallly think we need to spend £37 million to beat Sevco or my second favourite team Aberdeen to the league?

You are a doom and gloom merchant and I am personally sick of reading your constant tripe. This is your third moaning post in less than 24 hours.

If you are really not happy with being a Celtic fan right now when things are pretty good you may as well go and support another team. Man City and Barcelona are doing pretty well and they spend loads of money.
