Dunno if it's just me who thinks it but when BR bought De Vries a while ago it seems he also got a new keeper in Craig Gordon.
Still prone to the occasional blunder but by and large his game has improved immensely. HH.

Thought that myself brendan signing devries and dropping Gordon was a masterstroke and the boot up the arse he needed.

Mally-Motivating Craig Gordon may have been the outcome but I think you're re-writing history there brother with respect to the initial intention. I think De Vries was a failed experiment and Brendan's biggest mistake. Main thing though is CG has risen to the challenge and is a top class keeper and an excellent shot stopper. 🍀.

The occasional blunder? He's had a blunder every other game so far this season. He can't control his 6 yard box Saturdays game he couldn't pick pass further than 5 meters. When he does decide to come for the ball he's either going to lunge at someone or completely fluff it up. First and for most he's a keeper his job is to save the ball he does that some times and some of his "great saves" are his over reacting dives and falls to the ground.

I don't understand the need to criticise our players and see the negative when our team is UNBEATEN in the league, into a final and still in Europe, and totally dominating the sevconians. Everyone is entitled to opinions, can't we just enjoy what we are seeing at the moment instead of finding fault after evety match. Just saying.

Gordon has definitely raised his game since he got back in the team
But saying that a top class goalkeeper should be a priority signing soon.

6 clean sheets in last 6 domestic games and had Toure not blundered twice it would most likely have been another in the champions league as well.

Toprig last 5 domestic games 5 clean sheets, every keeper makes mistakes even the best did you see the Euros in the summer.
I said at the time when the very best goalies were palming shots out only for striker to net it at least CG in great company as they all do it.

It's called good management dropped boot up the arse and he comes back a better keeper bit like deila constantly playing Armstrong on the left wing and he's struggling but BR starts playing him in the middle and now we have a player good management.
