Guys as you know I have been 1 of Ronnys harshest critics, but I feel this semi final against Sevco could very well save him his job.
A win and any win against them will take his stock to a new level amongst the Celtic fans and as we all know from the past any manager beating rangers is held in high regard.
Yes I know this is no longer the rangers of old, but this is only our view and we won't let them forget. But the world will be watching not because we playing a 2nd tier team but because they think its an old firm game wether we like it or not.
Just watch listen and read the propaganda.

There's nothing wrong with being a critic Ray as long as you're being constructive, being honest. If I was watching a better product I'd still be on here backing Ronny up, which I did for over a year! I'm not interested in one game but if we start doing ourselves justice over the next 12 games then that's different! It's the perception as much as reality, everything coming out of Celtic is negative, to the point that you are actually saying to yourself - how is this possible?

The media circus has already started.
Quote:
'this time it means something' as if it wouldn't have meant anything if they could of done something last time!
Quote:
miller 'we have nothing to fear'
Is this the same kenny Miller who did the unthinkable for a 'loyal' foot soldier, by crossing the great Glasgow divide?
Boyd 'a Celtic win would only paper over the cracks'
Is this the same Boyd who could score against us?
The bias in the press is rank rotten to the core.
£500,000 operating loss? New club - same old

Hail hail let's get them pumped!

Yep mate your right, I have been constructive tho and gave ronny advice but he doesn't listen to me mate lol.
Like it or lump it our football is boring without the old firm game. we all looked forward to them every season and getting a ticket was all that mattered.
I think it will change next season and as I said this could be Ronnys lucky break because without doubt the crowds will go up next season if he fortunate enough to still be there.

Let's put this into perspective! We are playing a championship club in the semi final of the Scottish cup! If win does that mean everything is rosy again! The fact of the matter is this result does not turn our season round! The performances both domestic and in Europe have been embarrassing and a win against a championship club will not mask this! Our club is in decline and needs a change from top to bottom.

Those who have not wanted R D from almost the outset are not going to see sense no matter what happens . Although if we go on a wee run cumulating with victory over Rangers 2012, they will go into hiding, disappear off our forum pages and give us all head peace .

I don't think a win over a lower league team will have any relevance on whether RD remains the manager next season or not. Similarly nothing that is written here will have any influence. Let's hope we beat the new team comfortably but it is hardly our biggest game is it. We need to focus on the league games coming up, winning the league has to be the priority. I couldn't care less if we never play the new rangers but it looks like we will next season, it won't make the football any more exciting though that will be down to the players and the management.

The only trouble with the draw is we are on a hiding to nothing, win and we should do as we have the most expensive squad in Scotland and are top of the prem. Lose or they go close and it will be a win for them as they are just making their way through the leagues and "it's only preparation for next years assault". All their big talk will be brushed aside, let's hope our players keep their talk til after the game.

Hearts were miles ahead of them last season and we've knocked them out the cup twice last season and once this season. Remember it is only Sevco we're playing they was lucky against Killie and they played Dundee after we worn them out. Their signings was all a bunch of journeyman that look okay against part time opposition. Could anyone see them drawing against the likes of Ajax or Fernabache right now? I couldn't. Keep the faith.

After you worn them out? Hahahaha Dundee rested there best players to focus on the cup game.

They skelped a fresh Dundee team to be fair.

But so they should. They have a budget that dwarves Dundee's.

At the end of the day, it's anothe cup tie against lower league opposition. We should be grateful. I'd rather them than ICT.

In many ways, like most (domestic) games involving us, its about how we play. If we play to our capabilities, it's no contest. If we turn up in wrong frame of mind, and they to a man play as out of their skin, then there is a possibility of an upset. If that does happen, and I stress the word if (I don't think it will) , then it'll simply go down with the St Mirren, ICT, Ross County results: a Semi final we should have won but didn't.

They had a handful of luck last weekend against Dundee, A goal within seconds of kick off and within a minute of kick off in second half, these two goals is bound to have changed the normal flow of the game . Rangers could relax in the knowledge that A Muir wouldn't give them a nasty shock.
