Random I know but JimTim - did you notice who scored a double in Germany yesterday? :P

1.) 16 Jan 2017 18:07:38
I did. Thought about posting myself to grab your attention. 😆 I reckon he'll be out the equation now though, given their position, but Poulsen would be a great signing for us. I'd have their boy Selke too.

2.) 16 Jan 2017 18:33:42
Yeah but we were 12-18 months ahead of the game! No chance now.

3.) 16 Jan 2017 19:09:33
His record against the Klan is even better than Dembele's. Aye the one that got away, unlike some of the players I've suggested that have disappeared of the face of the earth.

4.) 16 Jan 2017 20:04:25
Who else have you mentioned JimTim? Interested to see where they are at? Think one we should go for is Rajkovic of Tel Aviv. Great young keeper

5.) 16 Jan 2017 20:50:07
Testing me there LM. Some have come good. Kante and Gueye were 'scouted' by myself the past two summers on here for example 😉. Mentioned Sule a couple seasons ago, Clasie too. Quite a few more playing at top levels too. They've all already been in shop windows though I'm hardly an oracle. Can't think off the top of my head really tbh. But for every one of those there's two or three duds. Conveniently they escape my memory. Taylor-Sinclair, remember him? There's a one.

6.) 16 Jan 2017 22:37:28
Some midfield we could have had there! I do indeed, wigan was it he went to

7.) 17 Jan 2017 09:03:51
Aye, but he's at Doncaster now.

ED- Quick question

Did I imagine it or was someone saying over the last few weeks that they'd like to take their daughter to a game, but perhaps couldn't get tickets or couldn't afford it?

I've got a few tickets for Saturday's game and, if this is/ was the case, I'd like to offer two tickets up to the person in question, so that he could take her.

Obviously if I have just dreamed this or I've gotten the wrong end of the stick - ignore me!

{Ed007's Note - I don't know mate but that's a great gesture from you - even if you did imagine it lol. If anyone wants to get in touch with PP about this I'll sort it out, do I have your e-mail address, PP?}

1.) 23 Sep 2016 16:51:42
Fantastic gesture TPP.

2.) 23 Sep 2016 16:52:01
I'm sure I saw DN30 mention it the other day.

3.) 23 Sep 2016 16:54:01
You should have ED as it's linked to this but if not it's:

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

4.) 23 Sep 2016 19:07:55
Rabmac is right it was DN30 talking about the Alloa game.

5.) 23 Sep 2016 19:16:45
Echoed from above. tpp that is definitely ah great gesture mate!

6.) 23 Sep 2016 19:25:15
Well in mate good to see great guys like yourself still about.

7.) 23 Sep 2016 19:59:30
Hats off ttp, fantastic gesture , starting to feel glad I woke you from your slumber a couple of weeks ago, lol 😁.

8.) 25 Sep 2016 02:56:25
Even his sign in is a ghost.

14 Sep 2016 21:40:54
Legia took six at home and BM got done by four in Manchester.

There will be more drubbings, such is the gulf.

Interesting interview on Sky with Ian Bankier re BR's arrival.

When asked what made Brendan stand out from the other (seven candidates) , Bankier said "His passion for the job. From the get go, he said 'I really want this'. "

Good enough for me. For all my skepticism, I'm actually really excited - and it's as much to do with the statement (of intent) as the appointment.

1.) 21 May 2016 01:04:44
I was the same when Ronnie got the job, didn't take long for me to change my mind.

2.) 21 May 2016 01:44:23
Well you lasted a few hours this time at least. Brendan, like Ronny, will miss your support I'm sure.

3.) 21 May 2016 07:07:10
Well said TPP, It was refreshing to here banker say that BR came right out and said he really wanted the job, maybe Ed was a little bit right on some of his previous comments about his time at Liverpool, but I think maybe he was a bit star struck and that I am sure has gone, he has learned a hard lesson there which I think will stand him in good stead here.

{Ed001's Note - he said the same crap at Liverpool, along with telling everyone how he was a big Liverpool fan etc. He is very good at spouting PR cliches. It is the rest of the job he struggles with. He was far from starstruck, except by himself.}

4.) 21 May 2016 10:41:15
Ed001 take your negativity elsewhere and let us enjoy our moment 😂😂😂.

Here's a question for you ED/ everyone:

Whether we get Rodgers or not (and by now I'm hoping we do) , do you think Moyes has ballsed this right up?

I'm not necessarily talking about the Celtic job, although that's a large part of it. I mean who he's under/ over played his hand with a view to a job this summer.

With Celtic in mind, a few people in the know (on KDS to be fair) have claimed that Moyes was interested and spoke to DD.

I like Moyes, and he would have been a good appointment, but it always felt that he thought he was due better; that he had more cache than he had; that he was, dare I say it, too good for Celtic/ Scottish Football. This could simply be me but coupled with him winking at any job that cropped up in England, it always felt like he was (or considered himself to be) settling.

Now, in comparison to Rodgers, I've heard him say all the right things (for once) and show some enthusiasm for the post. He doesn't seem to be playing it so aloof. That said, I have no doubt he too has been looking at other jobs -- one of the other EDs mentioned his wage demands pricing him out of a couple -- but to be clear, I'm not saying Moyes has done X whilst Rodgers has done Y.

My question is relating to Moyes thinking it was his (the job) if he wanted it - and he could get away with waiting, playing it more aloof, looking to see what came up in the EPL in the meantime, whilst never really considering the possibility that we would either move on without him, or someone like Rodgers would come along. Now that may no longer be an option, and with Rafa looking to stay on at Newcastle, and Everton (seemingly) not interested, there aren't a lot of opportunities in the EPL. Certainly none that would allow him to challenge for trophies, play in Europe etc.

Did he balls up? Genuine question.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think Moyes was ever a realistic option.}

1.) 19 May 2016 17:55:06
Read somewhere today, he feels he is too good ( won't manage in the championship) so that rules villa out?

2.) 19 May 2016 19:01:59
With Villa he would only have one year in Championship, relegation again.

3.) 20 May 2016 00:20:20
A heard a while ago that moyes said personally that he'd love to manage celtic and was waiting on the call. Its second hand info coming from Peter Martin through ma brother in law though so a didn't take it too seriously. Brother in laws a hairdresser n hears all sorts, mostly pish. Don't know why a thought now was a good time to post this, al blame the bucky once again.

Interesting that Sinc, Forrest and Roberts are all starting. Roberts or Sinc in the hole?

{Ed007's Note - I said that Boyata would get game time when he was fit lol.}

Cheers DN30, you saved me saying it. It was about context and hypocrisy - which is why it was directed at Aindoh.

One thing though Grout, I think you are confusing me with someone else. I have no hatred for Lennon, let alone an insatiable one, nor am I constantly bringing him up.

Actually, it's the opposite UJ.

The very fact you feel the need to defend the claim betrays that deep down, you know something changed five years ago.

Whether that is a conscious (or unconscious) acknowledgment, it doesn't matter.

How can Rangers fans laugh? By their logic, even if we replace it, it's the same panel and nothing has changed.

Devil's advocate but worth remembering that it was Griffiths that got us to the UCL group stages, not Dembele. Yes he had his (very important) penalty against Astana but LG scored against LRI, Astana home and away, and a double against HBS.
