Anyone heard anything regarding Daniel Sturridge? Heard from a few people now, he is very high on Brendan's wish list.

Just no happening mate. We will get some decent signings, but its not going to be players on 3-4 times the wages of our highest paid players.

Never off treatment table and his wages would b an issue so no chance uless a loan which a wouldn't fancy.

He is cracking player on his day and another one Rodgers got the best out off. Don't think we could ever afford him, or would be willing to take the risk on him. I heard some mad stories from Liverpool fans about why he wasn't playing but don't know how true they were.

Steph didn't mean to build you hopes up as it is nothing juicy lol. There was a story doing the rounds (think it even made The Guardian - should be easy to find online) that Sturridge was refusing to play on religious grounds, instead of being permanently injured.

When I say religious grounds I don't mean the playing fields behind the Chapel. I think God was telling him that Liverpool were shite and he would be better off going praying for a league title on a Sunday than struggling for a 2-2 draw against Burnley!

It was most likely a pile of tom tit to be honest.

{Ed001's Note - it is utter cack. He had an ongoing injury problem which needed to be managed, then went away with England and Roy Hodgson had a chip on his shoulder, refused to take Liverpool's medical advice over him, made him do normal training and it damn near crippled him.}

I thought it sounded like a wind up Ed. Saying that, a few decades of the rosary would do Liverpool no harm! 😉.

{Ed001's Note - they used to call Liverpool the capital of Ireland, half jokingly, because of the huge population of Irish Catholics, I don't think there is any lack of rosaries there! Me dad's ma has enough for half of England to be fair, but that's what you get when you are brought up as an orphan by nuns I suppose.}
