We are looking at Gamboa from WBA due to Liverpool demanding a high loan fee for Wisdom. Unless Rodgers is playing his cards very close to his chest am not so sure we will get this marquee signing, though I hope am wrong.

Can see a deal for a right back already being in place but us not announcing it until deadline day and that being our only signing. I won't be disappointed as its been a very good window but still think we are short of a centre mid.

I agree but do think we will see a CM also! Will not be the end of the world if we didn't and would certainly prefer to hold out till Jan then get someone better than just a shirt filler for the sake of it.

To be honest we are in a bit of a catch 22 situation.

The current squad will win the league at a canter and will spending 8-10 million on a few players realistically give us a chance of getting out of this champions league group?

I would love to see us get a few top quality players in but think we might have to settle for 1 or 2 around the 2 million mark or on loan.

Personally i would like to see Ajer instead of Bitton tbh. Bitton has the ability but lacks the determination to run or tackle. A good right back and i'll be happy as we should have enough to walk the league and anything in Europe is a bonus with that group.

Agree with you niall this is a situation we are in every year.

If anyone thinks PL is going to over invest in the squad for our 6 CL games there smoking too much of the whacky backy.

We have more than enough to have a great domestic season and if we can bring in wisdom i think we will have enough to not be completely embarrassed in the CL.

Cheers. Agree this is a problem we face every year but the problem with other managers is that they have bought just to add to the squad and not to improve it. How many Delia signings are in BRs best 11?

I like the fact that BR is bringing in players who will be first 11 picks and are better than what we already have.

Surely with all that money we aren't just going to settle for 2 loans? What if Izzy is sold we have no cover at LB, If Griffiths is injured we are short of goalscoring strikers. Still could do with addressing a few positions. ST/ CAM, LW/ RW, LB, RB, CDM.
