A thot Sunday was one of out worse CB pairing displays of the season, I havnt seen too much of Lagerbielka performances to say whether he merits a start or not but surely St Johnstone at home should be an ideal time, who do you drop Welsh or Scales ??♂️.

There’s a better balance with Scales on the left.
Welsh will be given more game time because it’s not easy playing the odd match.
Lagerbielke is a decent backup option and Brendan will be glad he kept him for the 2nd half of the season.

Thought they both struggled against the physical presence that Livingston have in abundance and having two small (ish) full backs also gives us problems at set pieces. For me, with the limitations we have it's going to have to be 'score more than the opposition'.

Only problem with scales is his passing is brutal and he's weak in the air. we need better.

Completely disagree Buzz, Scales done a job as cover earlier on in the season. He is a very basic defender who shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team. Welsh must have scuddies of someone’s wife, that’s the only thing I can think of keeping him at Celtic. His defending at the weekend was shocking. Both are no better than any average defender in our league.

Neither Welsh or Scales are anywhere near good enough to be in the starting 11 for Celtic.
Scales could be a bench player providing cover domestically going forward, Welsh is woeful and needs punted.

He need new defenders for next season but we’ve got a league and cup still to win this season.
It’s okay completely disagreeing, if you have an alternative fit CB pairing to take their place on Saturday.
Iwata covered for CCV last season but now he’s covering Calmac in midfield.
We need to encourage the Celtic players we have available.

Lager and Scales (only if CCV is injured) . Lagers stats are actually really good. Out of the 6 starts he’s played we’ve won 5 drawn 1 and also kept a clean sheet for 5 out of 6. Games.

I don’t think Celtic have conceded a league goal this season with Lagerbielke on the pitch.
Celtic have conceded when he’s been substituted.

Welsh is awful and Scales is bang average. Surely we must be able to find better in the summer. I would give Lagerbiekle a chance in front of Welsh. I hope as well during the summer we actually sign a decent CDM who can actually tackle.

Lagerbielke must have done something very wrong for BR to have signed him one minute and then almost punting him the next? ?
There is no conceivable way that he can be worse than Welsh, who, as far as I'm concerned, is only there to tick a 'homegrown' box.

If the stats are so good when Lagerbielke has played then wonder why he isn't fancied, unless Rodgers wanted him out for game time.
