A happy and healthy New Year to you all first and foremost. On to the game, Taylor going off was a massive blow and Juranovic's performance did nothing but compound that. It also left Starfelt more exposed and he lost the plot a few times. I think their penalty award was spot on. I think we had a stonewaller denied, although it seemed as if Beaton was getting read to go over and check the replay but Collum told him no. Overall, its a decent result in the big picture and a testament to the players' determination.

Forrest, Sterfelt and JJ woeful. Passing was pretty bad too too often. Should have had a penalty but those cheating barsteward were never going to give it. Still 9 points clear after what was a terrible performance second half. If Starfekt never plays for us again it will be too soon. An utter bombscare. JJ was the worst player on the park unbelievably awful. Lineup I wasn’t pleased with as I knew Forrest would do nothing and he delivered that. Kept going got the equaliser and buried their hopes, but that performance made them p ricks look not bad, which shows us how bad we were. I would like another winger and a striker as we only have Jota who can beat a man and put a cross in. Abada on the wing does nothing except lose the ball or put a pass to nowhere near our strikers. 9 put nuts though, but by feck didn’t we make it difficult for ourselves. also time for Mooy to get a start before O’Reilly, he’s been poor for a while. A spell on the bench might give him the boot up the arse he needs.

It was pretty harsh throwing JJ into left back when he has been right back constantly for the last year. He looked out of position and was taking up positions that would have been beneficial at right back. He looked clumsy. Bernabei was on the bench would of been more suited. I think rangers identified the weakness and played down that side.
Forrest wasn't really in the game. We didn't have that drive to get at their defence. Maeda was trying but felt Kyogo offered little up front. A lot of side way and backwards passing from us which is out of character.

As for the penalty at first view it was a penalty on the slowed views and angles on the TV it was never a penalty. The rangers player makes contact with the Celtic player losing his balance (not the other way around) . I was really confused as why VAR wouldn't be used in this situation but you learn something new. As for the possible penalty at the other end, I haven't seen the camera angle slowed down enough to convince me it made contact with his hand. Felt both teams were flat and less that 10 shots on goal between the two teams is pretty poor. But 9 points on top nothing lost. If anything a match closer to the title.

I don't think it was a penalty. Sakala stands on Starfelts sliding foot there was zero infringement from Starfelt. Sakala just tying to plant his foot and stood on Starfelt. Not a foul for me that one. Also clear penalty waved away. That being said we was pish and should've lost but never know when we're beaten.

It's hard to be too critical of Kyogo for me. Other than the miss hit and the goal he didn't have much service. Midfield was a bit lacking in creativity and grit. A hard watch but a half decent result at the end of the day (all things considered) . Interested to see the boy Kobayashi in action if he's a natural left sided cb. I think AJ gave a very good account of himself in a tough debut. There is nothing to add about JJ that hasn't been said. Not great.

Mp. wow starfelt should never play again c'mon sure he shouldn't have dived in but he won nearly every header in box b4 that. and "abada on the wing does nothing". well 7 goals and 3 assists this season plus what he produced last season absolute ridiculous statement. We weren't at our best and they still couldn't beat us basically won the league today happ new year.
