January has been good for us with the Japanese lads and O'Riley coming in. All of them have showed great promise already.
Am I the only one who thinks we still need 2 . a big burly forward to a) help the smaller guys and b0 be a major threat at set pieces, and a big and strong central defender to impose himself at the back?
We probably won't bring anyone else in and if we do it'll only be one. HH.

I’d love to see him play Abada through the middle with GG. I think he’s feed off the scraps. It worked when he played Dawson and Abada. Nothing to be ashamed about a big burly centre forward. We are a very small side. Ma laddie said on Saturday. Larsson with either Sutton or Hartson was none too shabby. Unsure it suits Ange’s style but I agree it’s horses for courses.

CCV has tightened things up at the back and Starfelt didn’t put a foot wrong on Saturday in fact apart from Abada scoring either could have been MOTM. But again I agree neither is dominant like a McNeil, McCarthy, Stubbs, Mjalby or Bobo. A no nonsense hit it or head it the way yir facing centre half. Paul Elliot was the best I’ve seen.

However I think more than anything we lack dig in the middle of the park. An enforcer that can play football and mix it. A Lennon, Lambert or Lewis Ferguson. The best I’ve seen that combined both attributes was Paul McStay.

What the players accepted at Alloa was unacceptable without dishing out what we were receiving. Look at the price we’ve paid with Gucci and McGreggor. Protection isn’t going to come from referees. Ask Broon or KT en-route to 9 in a row. I don’t believe you win league titles with a team full of football players.

I believe Celtic have the better players over Rangers but Likewise I’m worried about the midfield. Despite some good footballers our midfield are lightweight and why Wednesday night is tough to call. I thought Hatee was absent on Saturday.

Agreed JFP. We lack a mental strength in some areas. I really wish we'd push the boat out and pay whatever the Sheep and the lad himself want to sign Ferguson, even if it is only to get a couple of years out of him. HH.

JFP1888. You want to see Abada and GG as a 2? So no Jota? If its a front 2 then it's 442 or a back 3 with wing backs. Jota ain't a left midfielder or a wing back.

JFP- balance. The best way for us to play 2 up top is a back 3. But I'm not convinced our system allows 2 up top. Even If it's kyogo and maeda. Angeball means a dictator- calmac, 2 attacking mids- hatate and rogic/ oriley and a front 3 with pace, trickery, movement. Its not about a partnership. Abada feeding off scraps. We don't even know if GG can do the donkey work. For Wed id go jota, abada, forrest in a front 3. As for L. Ferguson, good player but not in front of cal, rogic, hatate, oriley. Not to even mention guchi. Not sure of the fuss about little cousin.
