Turnbull looks to be off for good now. If Keevins' numbers are correct we offered him 20x what he's on at Motherwell. The player wanted more (or other non-monetary assurances) , which he's entirely within his rights to ask for, the club have said no and I'm quite content with that. I'm a bit confused at the personal attacks a lot of fans seem to be directing at him on social media. The £3m was stumped up and that's the main thing, spend it elsewhere and get 9 in the bag. HH.

Agree mate, no need for bitterness towards the lad because he doesn’t want to sign. He’s got every right to ask for what he wants just like we have every right to offer him what we want.

Whoever we sign I just hope it’s players Lennon has chosen and not others. Hate the fact we sign players then expect the manager to fit them into his way of playing.

Anytime we played Motherwell I can't remember him from any game. I wouldn't know him if I walked past him. If I hadn't heard of our intrest in him I would have been gobsmacked at us offering 3 million for a Motherwell player aged 19 with 1 good season. Centre Half, RB, A big target man up front and a box to box midfielder bought ASAP Mr Lawell. We got 20 million for Dembele 7 million for Armstrong;7 million for The VVD addon and 9 million for BREXIT.43 million! Season tickets sold out. Replica kit and merchandise will generate more millions.

Fair point Pud. We need to make this transfer window count and I do believe we will. Let's all be honest, do we really want a player who really wasn't bothered about coming? Fair play to Celtic for telling him to go and get stuffed but they need to show serious intent with a few quality signings now. #keepthefaith HH.

Pud I said something similar in another thread and got shot down in flames. Fair enough he has scored 15 goals but 13 of his goals were against bottom 6 teams. A £3m player in a competitor team in league would at least of caused more damage against top 6 teams in league.

Fair enough he may go onto bigger things as he gains experience but if we are shelling out £3m it has to be on a player that is banging them in at a higher level so we have a fighting chance of making CL group stages. Turnbull is not that player.
