Guys just read an article saying we have 17 midfielders and another 5 on loan? What is that about? Completely bonkers? If it's right? So how much wages is all that going to be when we can only play 4 at a time? Madness waste of money? Can't be any other teams of our budget that has 22 midfielders on books? Are we going for the world record? Bonkers.

I have heard this 17 midfielders story mentioned loads recently but had never bothered to verify if it where true or not.

Anyway it turns out it is a load of boXXocks. Just went through the list of first team players and first team players out on loan and this is what I found.

It would appear that we actually only have 10 CMs (still way too many in my opinion) , so would appear the media have over estimated by 12 players if you include those out on loan. Yes we have some other players in the squad who can play CM or No 10 but that is not the position they normally play, so I have not included them. You may also notice that some of the players can play CM and No 10 but I put them in the position I think they are best at.

Yes there are more CM at our club but they are not listed as first team players.

To conclude, the media are talking pish as usual. What their motive is anyone's guess but I have my suspicions.

I should have added our Wingers as well, just in case the media where including that in their stat.

It is difficult to have a reasonable discussion on here when we have quotes from the SMSM, it would be better if poster did a little research before coming up with foolish exaggerated statements showing our club in the negative.

It is difficult on the majority of forums lol, most people prefer factoids over facts and don't seem to like when you disprove their factoids by using facts.

Yes Rabmac Some posters on here are as quick to put the boot into R D and Lawwell as the SMSM, they like the SMSM don't worry about a untruth taking the place of a truth.

That is what texts from fellow supporters were saying here yesterday yes and many sevco supporters. fast forward a day and hoops beat morton who draw with sevco in December. ? ? ?
