With all the speculation regarding who BR will sign i would be very grateful if he could pubically state position on Steven Fletcher.

Every transfer window we are linked with plug off the bash street kids and its nots only really worrying but also very irritating. Beginning to think its media at wind ups.

1.) 12 Jun 2016 17:57:15
Sick of hearing this crap that he'd bang them in up here.
He's never banged them in ANYWHERE.
His strike rate ain't much better than coles and look how that turn out.

2.) 12 Jun 2016 18:25:29
I am really underwhelmed by the quality of the players we are being linked with I was hoping with BR coming in was a sign DD was going to spend some money on real quality unless we are doing deals extremely hush hush none I have heard us linked with has excited me especially Steven fletcher done nowt in his career except get big money moves that boggles the mind guy he should be done for fraud for masquerading as a footballer.

3.) 12 Jun 2016 18:43:04
Celtic keep the business to themselves until its finalised unlike the mob from Govan that tell the media every player they are interested in. and for me that's the way we should keep it.

4.) 12 Jun 2016 18:58:47
Due to the euros any quality players will be busy with them, think you'll find any big transfers will need to wait til euros are over. Which is difficult with hamps lge qualifiers being so close, might need to go with what we've got fo 1st qualifiers.

5.) 12 Jun 2016 19:11:10
I agree with the poster about keeping quiet, we always do Sviatchenko came out of nowhere and that's why I don't pay attention to the papers.

6.) 12 Jun 2016 19:17:42
personally I would rather Celtic trawled the lower end teams of seria a and la liga and second tier teams of those leagues instead of English lower leagues where they are over hyped and over priced and much less technically gifted.

7.) 12 Jun 2016 20:00:57
Don't believe anything you read in the papers or on any website, Celtic never mention who they are after or trying to sign, everything is just shit made up by the hun loving media.

8.) 12 Jun 2016 20:19:38
The quicker Steven fletcher retires the better! He is a player who has always been looked at as the one who got away but it was a lucky escape in my eyes!

9.) 12 Jun 2016 23:58:01
Fletcher would do the business for us n Graham had bit of a rough time at Sunderland but was decent at Swansea and Watford. I think they 2 in for stokes, Cole, richards n sceptic is a step fwd. Snodgrass n I wouldn't mind caulker from QPR, n we'd qualify for Co n win league IMO.

10.) 13 Jun 2016 09:14:32
How can you say he will do the business for us when he hasn't done it for any team he has played for?

11.) 14 Jun 2016 00:43:24
Fletcher has been popular with a group of Celtic fans since WGS time . He has never been as popular with the Celtic Managers, thank God.

12.) 14 Jun 2016 08:34:06
Lower leagues . we signed scepovic from Spain and michu from Spain too and they were woeful.

20 Apr 2016 17:32:34
Apparently Steve Evans Leeds United manager is who we are after to replace Deila.

1.) 20 Apr 2016 17:44:37
No harm to the guy, I know he's a Celtic man. but if is true I don't think for a minute this will get the fans back on side! We should be aiming higher than that IMO! But hey we're just fans so who gives a toss what our opinion is.

2.) 20 Apr 2016 18:03:46
If the daily express are reporting it then it must be true.

3.) 20 Apr 2016 18:09:37
Christ, the players will be happy with that, theyl be allowed a double portion of chips wae there dinner. can't see it. The board will have to dog deep for a reinforced dugoot.

4.) 21 Apr 2016 09:06:25
I am not believing any rumours until I see it in black and white (hope that does not infringe the racist comment rules) in the Sun. At least you know the report will be well investigated and she will have big boo. oops missus just came in, talk later.

5.) 21 Apr 2016 21:22:04
The Sun? Seriously? You won't believe a "rumour" unless its in the Sun? / facepalm.

6.) 23 Apr 2016 11:36:06
Boabie, that paper has the finest quality and balances just right in the hand when being used in the tenement cludgie lol
Regardless of source, a rumour is just that - a definite possible maybe.

20 Apr 2016 11:45:58
Anybody hear anything about Ryan Giggs rumour? His odds are shortening at 33/ 1.

1.) 20 Apr 2016 20:19:29
Our first team will be worried, especially those with wives.

16 Dec 2015 06:16:20
Ed any truth in rumour we are being linked with Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw?

{Ed001's Note - Celtic have had scouts at a number of Walsall games this season to watch him, so there is defo some truth in it. No idea if any bid will come in as you are only one of a number of clubs tracking him. Wolves have held talks with his club about him recently, though they are a bit in limbo with their owner Morgan wanting to sell up.}

1.) 16 Dec 2015 11:20:06
Cheers Ed. I've never heard of the player before, is he rated down south at all?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, there were 8 (I think of the top of my head) scouts watching him play in his last match.}

2.) 18 Dec 2015 10:31:07
Any idea of a fee they will be looking for? All I've seen online is 2.4m quoted which isn't bad for a young English player. His scoring record looks good over there. I will be surprised if we get him I imagine some of the 8 scouts will be from lower prem or upper championship teams that will horse us on wages.

{Ed001's Note - I haven't a clue, sorry.}

17 Nov 2015 22:14:43
Ed have you heard anything regarding a fallout between Collins and Kennedy? Heard a wee story but don't know if its bull.

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything but I wouldn't be surprised and I wouldn't read too much into it if it's true.}

Really hope deila (only joking) Rodgers plays 4-4-2. Serious potential with Dembele/ Griffiths. What a transformation in life Griffiths has made. Tommy Burns will be proud.

1.) 24 Oct 2016 21:44:22
Aye it would be great fun playing two strikers up front and losing games on a regular bases.

2.) 25 Oct 2016 00:22:15
you can't be serious old bhoy? We should beat anyone in Scottish football regardless of who plays and where. Every team in Scotland would love to have players who are third choice here in their first team. On top of that I don't think there is a player in Scotland who is better than what we have already. We should play 2 up top domestically and in Europe if it's working which it would. Don't know where Rodgers get this I don't have the players in midfield to do so? Bollocks he's petrified of failure, evidenced by his late changes on Sunday I mean no Roberts and Griffiths not on until 75+ minutes in? Waited until the 60th to take of bitton.

3.) 25 Oct 2016 13:21:58
At the moment I trust and believe B Rodgers when he says it isn't a simple matter of playing two up front but that our strengths come from the pressure our players put on our opponents all over the pitch .
I don't think B Rodgers who in my opinion is the best position to know goes with just one striker for the craic, I imagine he thinks it suits Celtic best.

23 Sep 2016 12:22:21
@rayman99 struggling to see where the irony is. Gave up season ticket cause lost my job and keeping roof over families head was my families head was my priority. I was never one for buying season ticket just for the big games. If that's what your into then fair enough but there is no uncertainty had it been sevco rather than alloa, place would be packing.

1.) 23 Sep 2016 13:12:14
Well said dn30 I hate fans that claim your not a real fan if you can't make it to every single day people have prioritys.

2.) 23 Sep 2016 15:19:31
The bhoys that make every game i salute them.

Having said that they obviously don't have a mrs like mine.
I need two weeks notice before a game now so I can butter her up and treat her then i'm allowed out 😁.

3.) 23 Sep 2016 16:30:10
That's the road to ruin . If it's two weeks now, the time will expand to four and before u know it she will have the foot down all together . Stand up and be a man . Surely u sorted that all out before u married her, at the very latest in the vows.

{Ed007's Note - (clap) (clap) (clap)

4.) 23 Sep 2016 17:08:48
I'm up the creek then old bhoy
I need two weeks notice for a televised game!

5.) 23 Sep 2016 17:09:38
Gordo, I never said he was not a real fan. Check the post. DN Of course u will put family first I was not having a go mate I was merely pointing out u were confused/ disappointed at the crowd for the Alloa game yet u are not going to games. U can't have a go at fans for not going to games when u not going to games yourself. There will be many fans in your situation as well.

6.) 24 Sep 2016 00:42:28
Poor island celt, do u get a wee listen on the radio at least the last 30 mins which was all they could broad- cast in the old days.

{Ed007's Note - She checks the results on her phone and shouts them through to the scullery while he's doing the dishes.}

7.) 24 Sep 2016 06:52:27
A good wife knows her place. The man dictates where that place is! Lol.

8.) 24 Sep 2016 10:28:15
But rayman99 you still haven't responded to point I was making. If that was Sevco we were playing instead of Alloa, game would of been full capacity. Yes there are genuine fans who still wouldn't of been able to make it, but i don't think approx 30,000 fans wouldn't of made that game.

On a seperate note where was Green Brigade? Did they have an annual leave day? No doubt they will realise a statement saying their bus got a flat tyre or something.

9.) 24 Sep 2016 11:47:26
Island its time you put the foot down, i bet she watches 3 hours of soaps every night then when you want to watch a game of football she says "NOT FOOTBALL AGAIN" be a man SHOW HER THE DOOR lol either that or get another telly in the house lol. (If she gets her lawyer onto me for my comments i don't care Ed says he'll cover my legal fees lol. )

10.) 24 Sep 2016 15:40:08
I really don't get your point mate, there is no way in this world u get the same attendance at Alloa as u would get for Sevco.

22 Sep 2016 03:31:19
Openly admitted i gave up season tickets 2 seasons ago due to losing job and very nearly moving to Germany. Point i'm making tonight, recently all the big games have been a good attendance. What happened tonight? I don't know if it was a season ticket allocation or general sale, but i would of loved to take my 2 daughters and never bothered enquiring cause i thought it would be a sell out. Not a rant just a bit annoyed as i would of loved to of took them tonight.

1.) 22 Sep 2016 08:16:23
The cup games are usually poorly attended, especially when it is a lower league team.

2.) 22 Sep 2016 09:30:30
DN there was never any chance of a sell out against Alloa in the league cup! I'm surprised u thought there would be to be honest!

3.) 22 Sep 2016 10:47:04
Wiss81 a celtic game is a celtic game. So u think its okay to not go because its Alloa and only make effort for bigger clubs? that's not a supporter.

4.) 22 Sep 2016 16:20:44
DN30, I think that you can get tickets for most Celtic home matches, the only exceptions would be the Sevco match and most European matches.
The crowds this season are better than last season, but I'm pretty sure that you would still get in.
I don't know how good the seats are that would be available, I suppose they are the seats that season ticket holders don't want, but they should be okay.

5.) 22 Sep 2016 16:55:09
Cheers Gerryc. Would of been ideal game to take them to.

6.) 22 Sep 2016 17:47:11
Dn30 over the last few years a league Cup match against lower league opposition would normally attract crowds in their teens of thousands, I imagine last night may have been a bit bigger than usual.

7.) 22 Sep 2016 18:49:27
In theory your right Celtic playing at home we would all make the effort to go. Speaking from my own point of view I'm up with a bus in England every league home game and will be for the champs league games. Last night was just not possible to get a bus going with lads having take time off work and extra expense involved something has to give.

8.) 22 Sep 2016 23:09:26
DN so your having a go at the fans for not going, yet you yourself are not going to matches. The irony lol.
JP and PL are loving this at least you not moaning about them.

31 Aug 2016 22:58:54
A few cries for a "creative midfielder" what's wrong with Rogic? Done well so far this season. Always needed a run of games and he has took his chance well.

De Vries will be like Dembele, just needs a few games to settle. In general we have a stronger team to build on.

CL we have tough group, but i don't think its all doom and gloom. Europe at times is a case of best team on the night. Its hard to truly judge a team by their signings. Think we have good chance against Borussia Monchengladbach. don't know why but feel confident of home win.

1.) 01 Sep 2016 01:24:09
He's good in the pocket. But wouldn't he learn from a master?

31 Aug 2016 18:44:36
Key positions that we badly needed addressed was GK, CB, RB, LW and ST. We got these players and for first time in a long time we have an actual LW.

Im happy with transfers.

1.) 31 Aug 2016 18:56:45
It's been a very good start to the Rogers era.
The improvement in the management and squad from last year is night and day.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 19:05:38
Yes, but I bet you still hoped like we all did. I think we need a striker and a creative midfielder.

We thought with the cash in trying to mitigate against getting our arses kicked in the CL they would invest a bit more. An additional Bonus is qualifying for the Europa and having a squad capable of qualifying next tear instead if iur usual let's say a wee prayer and hoping. As an atheist I find that approach about as useful as sacrificing a goat.

Still, a few hours to go and I for one hope sense prevails and we strengthen further.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 19:24:33
Magicpole how much would you say wed have to spend to stop us getting our arse kicked (as you put it) by the teams in our group that have players worth over a 100 million in there squads?

4.) 31 Aug 2016 19:41:46
I never said it would prevent it. I said it might mitigate against a too severe tankin. I would say a midfielder at the same price as Sinclair and similar with striker.

The prize is the treble and easier qualification next year.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 19:46:01
Plus ship out the deadwood today and a lot of money freed up for players who will improve us.

6.) 31 Aug 2016 19:47:46
Dn . yes but the striker is second choice/ project ) . cb is for a season (or led to beleive until others got fit or replaced. ) the rb has hardly played in 2 year . apart from being fast no one has mentioned whether he can defend. the gk we don't know if better than Gordon . we ve probably recouped wages from players leaving to cover incomers and if we sell jozo we've spent nothing . if we don't bring out a player who is far better than already here tonight I say the board has let rodgers and us down again.

7.) 31 Aug 2016 20:04:57
Magicpole we have a good basis to build on now. Any extra signings will be a bonus, but its the deadwood we need to prioritise. We need them gone.

So he will be signing then seeing as he is a tim then? Rofl doesn't matter these days what team a player supports. doesn't guarantee they will sign never has. Cringeworthy statement.

JimTim see at the end of the day, if any professional footballer doesn't know how to look after themselves they shouldn't be collecting their £10k etc a week.

It's basic stuff really, eat healthy, exercise regularly and see a qualified doctor if there are any psychological issues. There's no science involved there, just a fancy name for a glorified fitness instructor.

Well considering i come from an irish hertitage find that highly unlikely. Never knew it was compulsory for someone to turn a blind eye cause Stokes is Irish in order to be a Celtic supporter.

He shouldn't of done it in first place. You are all cracking jokes about it, but would be different if it was yourselves or someone you knew who stokes assaulted and to be fined that amount suggests that it was quite severe and he was lucky not to go to jail.

Mark McGhee will always have a problem with whoever is Celtic manager because he isn't and never will be.

Story goes at Aberdeen he had a clause in his contract if club approached him he could talk to us.

@Island Celt that's the mentality from some supporters that held club back in recent seasons. Yeah he scored against Barcelona but what did he do apart from that?
