Once again it's left solely to us to try and get some coefficient points in Europe. Our also ranks are are bluff and blather.
I get really irked when three to four teams in other European countries automatically qualify fir the CHAMPIONS League group stages. The competition name is false advertising and the Financial Fair Play is a joke and is side stepped by the big guns along with the fact toothless EUFA are only concerned about the cash flow.

Tim we had this discussion at work yesterday! Should be called the European cup at best! Spain has 5 entrants this year! How they can justify that while we have to play qualifiers is a joke. The co efficient ranking and points system is a joke even for the national set up! It's all about keeping the rich clubs richer! Was hoping that Platini would have been true to his word and banned teams if they fail to meet the FFP instead of fines for teams that are already cash rich. Would be great if UEFA/FIFA could come out and publicly justify letting spain have 5 entrants while we have to qualify after winning our league.

The FFP rules are like any other, a sharp suited lawyer on £500 per hour will find ways to bend them.Imagine the team of people to deal with paperwork from EVERY single top tier team,and the endless checking involved,before you could even start an investigation!

Agreed - the whole setup is a joke. it might be quite a while before we have to worry about qualifying through 3 rounds for the bog money. But the whole thing stinks.
1 it is not a CHAMPIONS League when 5 teams come out of Spain & 3 or 4 out of England Italy & Germany.
2 Seeding - means that none of these teams play each other until the very latter stages.
3 Last 8 (AGAIN) will be Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia Bayern Munich, Leverkusen, Juventus, Chelsea, Man City
there may be a surprise or 2 but that is about it!

Back to the days - all in a pot - first out at home - straight knock out -- it won't ever happen again /I know but hey ho!

cmcbhoy, they have four, three automaticly qualified and one play off. I heard that they could lose a spot to next year if the results dosnt improve.
