What is it with some people you are never happy. Players get injured lose form and are human and sometimes make mistakes, Forrest has not been fully fit for Two years and all wingers are inconsistent. Name one who is performing week in week out even Jinky had bad days and he was 25-26 before he started to become world class when Big Jock arrived. Charlie has been POY and an international he has played where ever he has been asked and never complained. Efe too has always given his all for the club I agree he isn't true class and can take wrong options but he is there when wanted and is obviously very popular amongst the other players and coaching staff. Sometimes you are better sticking with what you have and building and improving rather than gambling on something new look at the number of flops we have seen in the last five years.

Johnson The idea of moving on. Players who are quite capable of at the very least coming on and doing a job when we have injuries or suspensions doesn't make sense
Jonace is one hundred % right . Mulgrew played for Scotland on Saturday and did very well especially against a big bullying centre forward .
As far as I can gather these 3 players have bought into Deila's tactics and life style , if that is the case it would be madness to move them on , unless we have better squad players signed

Chris02 regards mulgrew situation the way I see it is we would be better to move him on, get something for him and reduce wage bill if he is not in RD plans

Dn30 Charlie mulgrew has always been in rd plans only injury kept him out.

Dan 30 . There are no indications that Mulgrew is not in Deila's plans . Mulgrew has been injured for quite sometime and Deila said he was delighted to see Mulgrew.overcoming his injury before the end of the season .

Jim1972 When did he say that? Where will mulgrew fit in?

I know you don't go to the games dn30 but look at the stats when fit Ronny played Charlie and has spoken in positive terms about his worth and as soon as he reached fitness he got game time. I would expect to see a lot of Charlie next season unlike you.😉

Jim1972 my point is where is he going to fit in? Only position he is good is CB. For me he is a natural in that position, but can't see him getting game there.

Dn30 I could see him playing a role at cb or more likely he could replace nir bitton who in my opinion is too slow to nail it down but it would require Charlie to play in a more controlled manner and not look to play overly ambitious passes and keep it simple as Charlie is a better defender than nir. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of rotation in the midfield to keep everyone fresh as I think some players are asked to do too much work(johansson, brown and izzy)but we have to wait and see all the comings and going before being certain.

Do 30. It is pointless and stupid for any of us fans to say that a versatile player like Mulgrew can only play in one position and that he isn't going to get a game in that position We only see the players on match days , we are not aware of what specific instructions they are given .n the manager who sees the player in training nearly every day and gives the players instruction , must be a lot better placed than any of us fans to make decisions whether he is wanted or not . If Deila didn't want any of these players that the fans experts want out , he would be pushing them out to free up wages .
Mulgrew cannot be that bad , he was widely praised for playing well in both the Scotland / Ireland games at centre defensive midfield and centre of defence .
Not getting at you DN30, but I think we need to hold on to players like Mulgrew , Forrest and Ambrose , until we are confident that we have back-up players who are better . These three players are fully versed in what RD wants and squad players who are bought in may not adopt to RD , lifestyle and tactics .

I can't see Mulgrew being a regular in one position next year, he will only play to cover injuries or to give people a rest IMO. I would totally disagree that Bitton will be replace by Mulgrew, Bitton is by far the better player in tht position I think. Mulgrew when playing in midfield was guilty of giving the ball a lot and Bitton is fr better in posession. I would still keep mulgrew but purely as a verstile back up player
