Celtic site saying we are in talks with Wolves for Proden and also mention Eric Dier for loan, personally a think they would be 2 great signings as Dier (if possible) could be employed in his natural position as our midfield enforcer, give us some good news buoys.

As a Celtic fan who also has a lot of love for Spurs Eric Dier is one of the worst footballers I've watched play at that level. Massive no for me whether that be at CB or in the midfield.

Personally I'd rather we loaned McTominay who hasn't got a move away yet. Much more of a rounded player and been popping up with some big goals for Scotland of late.

Kev I agree with you and Davie.
I don't want to just get rid of Hatate because he is the best midfielder in Scotland when he is on his game and because he has 3 yrs left.
But if he has turned down an extension because he has told the club he wants to leave then I would sell him.
I believe that one of the reasons we lost the 10 was we had a few players that Lennon admitted wanted to leave but he continued to play them.
This season is massive for the league winners due to the finance's involved with the new CL format and we can't carry players who don't want to be here.

can't force him to play like the best if he's not up for it. if one lesson was to be learned from the 20/ 21 season it should be getting identifying players who don't want to be at the club and getting shot of them while they're still worth something.

The report (if you choose to believe it) says Hatate knocked back the 1st offer although he is still open to negotiations. So think you need to chill out a bit about getting rid of him.

Understand all the points being made but there's a massive difference between chucking it and not wanting to commit to more than the 3 years you're already committed for. His mid-term future is already contracted to us and there's nothing about this situation that suggests he wants away. If he does, then I'm sure the club will look to move him on.

As far as I understand he hasn't said he doesn't want to play for Celtic just he doesn't want to sign a new extension to his current contact yet . He still has 2 or 3 year's on his existing contract no time to panic yet.
