Obviously Aberdeen would keep him if they could, but is there really a chance we'll look to sell Christie in the summer? Would be a real shame.

1.) 28 Feb 2018 11:46:21
I think he will every chance in the summer as he looks ready for the step up IMO.

2.) 28 Feb 2018 22:53:23
Christie is a fine player but very similar in standard to what we have - McGregor, Armstrong etc. If we want to keep BR and improve in Europe we need better than that. Only my opinion but I would sell him and Armstrong and Bitton and try and get one player of a higher standard. Easier said than done granted but that’s what we pay scouts for.

3.) 01 Mar 2018 08:46:48
Chinks replacing 3 players with one is not a good idea. Our squad has been stretched to the limits this season to trim it anymore would be mental.

4.) 01 Mar 2018 18:09:40
Kev83 replacing 3 players with 1 would be crazy if said 3 players played 20 games each for the first team this year. How many good performances has Armstrong, Christie or Biton put in for the 1st team this year? Do yeah buying a better quality prospect or a senior pro would be a good move for me as even if they don't play 60 games in the season we ain't losing out on much.

18 May 2016 20:30:12
See we are linked with Charlton keeper Nick Pope. Have we got shirt sales in mind here or is he a decent prospect?

1.) 18 May 2016 22:00:44
Is the number 11 shirt available?

2.) 19 May 2016 19:31:35
number 11 u say

its available now pmsl.

22 Jan 2015 12:37:22
The Hamilton LB Hendrie was linked with us a wee while back, and his move to West Ham has just collapsed. Are we still/have we ever been interested?
Izzy desperately needs competition

1.) Quotes say he is out of contract on the Summer so a bit strange why West Ham we're going to pay £2 million for him especially when he won't be a starter. Could be a good move for us on a Bosman although we would have to pay a development fee due to his age.

Hi all, does anyone know of a pub in Budapest that will have Celtic tv, to show home games? Cheers.

1.) 15 Mar 2018 13:19:31
Found this for you but can't verify 100%.

Caledonia Bar, Budapest, Mozsár u. 9, 1066 (Tel: +36 1 311 7611)

2.) 15 Mar 2018 17:19:25
Caledonian bar. owners from Glasgow and a tim.

3.) 15 Mar 2018 18:14:42
cheers folks!

4.) 15 Mar 2018 18:54:55
That’s mental - a pub in Budapest called the Caledonian

5.) 15 Mar 2018 22:33:37
Was in the bar a few years ago to watch a Celtic game. They have a number of TV’s so if there’s a couple of games on, they’ll show both.

There's a rumour going round that fans might get off James Forrest's back and give him a bit of credit where it's due.

1.) 17 Aug 2017 10:04:51
anno its a rumours page but c'mon mike bud, need to be realistic as well ;)

2.) 17 Aug 2017 10:06:35
Forrest been one of our most important players in qualifying for the CL! To be honest I reckon he would be a hard squad player to replace. On his game he is deadly.

3.) 17 Aug 2017 11:08:04
Still doesn't have enough end product for me. Think we can do better. Credit where it's due though.

4.) 17 Aug 2017 11:38:01
he's not as bad as people make out and imo the scapegoat for every bad performance by the team no matter how he or others have performed . under br he has improved and hopefully matured enough to now know what he has to do to keep his place . inconsitancy (and injury ) have somewhat stalled his career / development and he never seemed to be able to address his faults / flaws . but I think the new coaching regime has seen him get better and imo his start to this season has been good . he's still young enough to get better but old enough to finally realise what he has to do to setup up? (hopefully)

5.) 17 Aug 2017 11:59:20
We been discussing this on live chat our corner kick taker is our striker and that is not right not going to give one ounce of criticism today but for fun who can actually cross a ball at Celtic? I say Liam Henderson LG not counting can you imagine we get someone in who could deliver a high diagonal ball / corner? (Y)

6.) 17 Aug 2017 12:02:00
The support just get frustrated because we know (and he knows) what he is capable of but he has been inconsistent.
There is no doubt he could be a great player if he believed it more and he has already put a marker down that he is better than Hayes and now he needs to keep producing.

09 Jun 2017 22:57:12
Saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic in IKEA Glasgow today. Said he's to sign for Celtic, but Brendan would only give him a contract if he got him a bigger trophy cabinet.

1.) 10 Jun 2017 06:46:02
I saw james tavernier getting escorted out of a polling station also mate, apparently he couldn't put a cross in the box ;)

2.) 10 Jun 2017 15:34:55
they'll be a few new sevco signings getting escorted out of ibrox too for making the sign of the cross.

3.) 11 Jun 2017 07:00:45
JB67 given they are the only club in the world where no player ever makes the sign of the cross we can only assume they are told not to as Pedro and the Mexicans will have been. Any Roman Catholic who agrees to that as a condition of contract for financial reward forfeits the right to be considered one and isn't worthy of the name.

4.) 13 Jun 2017 10:52:49
amaruso admitted they were told not to they are a disgrace of a club jfp.

18 May 2017 07:40:58
With all this talk of signing Roberts or getting a replacement in from the continent, is there no chance Christie will come into the first team next season? I think he's got the potential, just needs the games.

1.) 18 May 2017 08:28:30
Isn't he better more central rather than out wide.

2.) 18 May 2017 08:29:54
his best position is CAM imo, id keep hold of him to battle with rogic, if paddy don't stay id expect someone brought in that's a natural in RAM position, saying that BR has previous for changing players positions, personally think he would be wasted there.

3.) 18 May 2017 09:17:43
Ah okay, fair points
Hopefully we see him feature in the hoops next season, looks like he has a big future.

4.) 18 May 2017 11:06:58
Don't think Christie is what we are looking for to move to the next level.

The next level will require a better quality, and with the way the game is now, we need more physical stature with ball playing abilities

Eg Bitton, just a bit quicker.

But don't need to be too worried. just sit back and enjoy the pantomime at the Asbestos Dome. and have faith in whatever Brendan chooses to do. HH.

5.) 18 May 2017 13:39:48
Did you really just associate physicality as one of Bittons strengths?

6.) 18 May 2017 14:39:29
He's a big lump of a man, agreed he doesn't use it much. but you get what I mean.

7.) 18 May 2017 15:25:12
abbeymac no yur almaist right he's a big lump!

Leicester have bid £5.25m for Kapustka. We might get him on loan this time next year.

Fit and on form he's unplayable. Providing he's not on / asking for massive wages I'd be really sad to see him go.

Why bother negotiating a loan with a fixed price if we want to buy him now?

and then meet the purchase price as soon as he's in the door?

Do you have any ballpark ideas of a price for the clause? Is it usually around the selling price?

{Ed007's Note - I don't buddy, sorry.}

Seems a very common misconception about Boyata being a young player, he's actually 27!

Meanwhile we have the likes of Ajer (20) , KT (20) , Dembele (21) and Ntcham (22) who all look mature beyond their years.

Any more news on Hernandez from Hull? just the agent trying to stir up interest?

I was hoping Armstrong might return to past form after his op, and would be disappointed to see either him or Rogic go - knowing what they can do on their day.

{Ed007's Note - As far as I know there was never any news on Hernandez.}

I liked the extra bit of desperation at the end where they compared them favourably to Broony and Moussa.
If they really wanted to prove a point they should have shown Waghorn (70) v Paddy Roberts (68) 😄.
