Hibs want Morgan in loan.
Sorry but as much as I love Lennon that club should get nothing from us as long as that clown Rod Petrie is involved with them.

Kev83. I agree with you Petrie and Hibs got good loans and deals from us . No more.

Nonsense, end of the day all petrie was doing was getting maximum fee for mcginn. He would be an incompetent chairman if he didnt.

You would be complaining if Lawwell let any player go on the cheap so what's difference about what Petrie done?

Anyway Hibs have a fantastic track record of developing players and its a certainty we will sign good players from them in future. Why shoot self in foot over a tit for tat transfer fiasco that has long settled?

I personally think Rodgers is off at the end of the season.
If we are only signing loan players for six months, think that tells it’s own story.
We should be looking at rebuilding for next season, Benkovic will be away boyata will go and the other 2 loan signings will be off.
We really need a permanent centre half in just now and a right back and possibly a replacement for brown, plus a striker.
This window will tell us everything we need to know about our boards ambition, come on celtic it’s time to deliver the players we need.

What a load of rubbish Phil.
He gave Celtic the run around and change the asking price twice.
He then quoted us 4 million and then sold for under 3 million.
We had help his club with several players that other wise they wouldn't have been able to afford at the time.
Stokes and henderson were the major reason they won the Scottish cup
Efe and Allan both loaned to them.
Not one player should go to them from us unless a fee is paid or their contract up. No more loans.

Rob Petrie was looking after Hibs people can spin it anyway they want . McGinn would have been a Celtic player for us if he wanted to he didn't.

Happy if he was just looking after hibs why did he quote 4 million to us and sell for under 3?

7.) 08 Jan 2019
08 Jan 2019 11:39:21
Nonsense Kev? i don't blame Petrie for giving run around. Lawwell has a track record of doing it to other clubs, so why shouldn't Petrie return the same? Done the same to The rangers regarding Scott Allan yet Hibs were praised for their hardline stance so what's different now?

I get the impression you think because we are celtic every other scottish team should bow down and let Lawwell take the pi$$ when negotiating transfers.

Aye good one! Stop all loans to hibs halt development of our prospects for future at a team renown for its development success.

No what they did to rangers was refuse to sell to a team they were in a promotional battle with.
No I have no problem buying players at a fair price from Scottish football but what I have got a problem with is a team quoting us 1.25 million more than they want from another team.
Basically saying you pay extra because your Celtic.

How have hibs helped develop ANY Celtic player.
Not one we have loaned them have returned to help our team.

Efe gone
Henderson gone
Stokes gone
None of them played for us agin
Allen never kicked a ball for us since his loan.

Send our players to the likes of killie or the dons who both have helped our players develop in to first team player.

Kev what's your source on this? The only time I've heard about the price being changed was from Celtic fans on Twitter after he signed for Villa. I know a close family member of McGinn's and Celtic did plenty of their own messing about.

10.) 08 Jan 2019
08 Jan 2019 13:03:53
More so to do with the fact he's on the board of the spl/ sfa and part of the sweep sweep operation of the hun corruption and choosing to do nothing about it. Should get no favours from us.

I know someone that has a lot to do with hibs. He has a big business in the capital and puts a fair bit of cash in. He's also hibs mad and hate the bold Ron.
Your right Kev Celtic did mess around as well but Pertie definitely was wanting to put the boot in. He hates lawwel.

Fair enough Kev. The way I look at it though is where is our player likely to get the best development? If the the answer is undisputedly Hibs then I can't see our club letting pettiness get in the way of a player's development. I'd say Sunderland would be a good move for him though.

I've said it before killie under Clarke is where id loan our player to in the 1st instance then the dons.
They help develop both ajer and Christie into 1st team players.
Though I think it was elbows who was in charge at killie at time.

Kev, Petrie held out for best price which is what they got Celtic wouldn’t reach the price wanted and tried to hold out, so when a higher offer of £3,5m with add ons which in total will be nearly £4 m then we had to take higher offer it’s business mate anyway I hope your lot win the league and keep the people in there place.

16.) 08 Jan 2019
08 Jan 2019 18:24:44
Hibsboy Celtic matched that offer. And the add ons are not guaranteed
Some of them have to do with promotion to the EPL, which is highly unlikely with that basket case of a club.

Personally i think McGinn signed for Steve Bruce not Aston Villa. Never heard a bad word said about Steve Bruce and if stories are true he is meant to be a gentleman.

Whatever happened during negotiation process we will never know. One thing that possibly could of happened was McGinn being told he is not being sold to celtic and if he really wants to go, it has to be another club.
