I think that even if we do lose a couple of big names the priority should be sorting out the defence. We need to have an older, more experienced head in there that the younger guys can learn from and take a lot of confidence from.
We still have an abundance of central midfield talent without Wanyama. Wing wise I would love to see Forrest stay injury free and get a good run in the side again. I think he still has a lot to offer but has had his confidence knocked.
Hooper will probably leave in the summer and if he isn't interested in signing a new deal I would play Tony Watt upfront from now until the end of the season.
We need to hit the ground running early next season with the Champions League qualifiers and giving some of our younger players big game experience towards the end of this campaign could prove beneficial should they be called upon because of injuries or suspensions.

1.) Trouble is with Hooper is he needs to finish the league as top scorer if Celtic still want to command any sizeable fee. that's why he still gets a game. Plus Lennon is pretty professinal in that way. Your absolutely spot on about the commanding experienced CB as well.

2.) Hooper should give himself a shake and finish the season with a 'farewell flourish' and leave the club and support on the best of terms as he has been coasting for months.
I like Forrest but I think he can be very frustrating at times and a wee bit predictable and hopefully competition from McGeough will achieve the best of both.
I agree with you about Watt and apart from niggling injuries he should have been given more opportunities - before Stokes for example. I agree most of us would love to see an old head at CB too.

3.) Age isn't the problem in defence, its a lack of quality full stop.

Varane is one of the best defenders I've seen in recent times and he is only 19.

The young lad that we had come on in i'm sure it was one of last years early European games looked calm and composed, I can't remember his name, but he's not had a sniff.

Wilson can't read a paper never mind a game of football. Always getting caught out. Yes he can head a ball, but that's because his Heid is made of wood!

Who do we think the front runner for Hooper is going to be in the summer? Looking like Norwich have tied up a deal for Van Wolfswinkel

Apparently Chelsea now interested in Forster too
