Here is my dream team for next year:

Forster
Matthews Mulgrew Mills Izzaguire
Forrest Kayal Wanyama Henrikson
Rhodes Hooper

Subs:
Samaras
Brown
Ledley
Lutsig
Wilson
Watt
Paddy
Commons
McGeouch
Zaluska
Spend £10M, £2 forster, £3m henrikson, £5 million Rhodes
Sales Ki £6M, Stokes £2m, £1m Bangura, Free Loovens, Odea, Cha, Murphy, Rasmusson, Thompson (please add any more that I've forgot)
Net spend pretty much Zero and a big saving on wage bill. I think this team would do well in Europe. I would also loan out some of our youngsters to get 1st team experience. Thoughts?
Martyc18888

Believable15 Unbelievable11

So you wanna have 3 senior strikers, hmmmmmm........

{Ed007's Note - What about injuries, fatigue, suspensions, squad rotation and even having a different tactical option? We managed fine with Larsson, Sutton and Hartson in the squad at the same time.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mills is awful and a bit of a kn*b too keep rogne at the back with charlie and we'll be fine

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to keep ki. Good player with a big future and has some shot on him . Not to mention his passing

Agree0 Disagree0

Marty how you could leave joe ledley out that team bewilders me. rhodes all be it great player but not wat we need wee have that in hoops wee need a target man a john hartson chris sutton big jan type player but the days o buyin players like that have long gone a cheaper version john daly at utd great finnisher wi feet and head defo worth a punt in my eyes correct me if am wrong he was 2nd top scorer in spl last year and thats at dundee utd. mikeybhoy27

Agree0 Disagree0

I ment it as in we need more, hooper, stokes, sammy, bangura and one more plus larsson sutton and hartson were world class plus we did have a couple of back up players when they were out for whatever reason {Ed007's Note - Oh right, sorry mate I read that wrong the way you said it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I can hear music?....'dream, dream, dreeam..dree-ee-ee-ee-eem'!?
Really! Tut {Ed007's Note - Maybe that is why the OP said it was his 'dream team' eh? At least read what is said before making a pointless addition to the thread. Tut!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson, Wanyama and Lustig can all cover CB, Lustig can cover RB and Chuck LB, Loads of midfield options and Samaras and Watt for up front if anything happens to Hooper or Rhodes. I think this squad is super strong but would like opinions if you think this is a realistic 1st team. Also, I'm sure I've missed a few others to leave that could lower wage bill so enlighten me if I have............martyc1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahhh, I knew I had forgot a few names that will save even more money - Mark Wilson Free, Juarez £1m. If necessary you could use this money to buy the young boys from Leeds and Crewe and still save a fortune on wages.........martyc1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikey, I love Joe Ledley but who would you drop for him? He would obviously play loads of games esp in Europe when we would play one up front but in SPL we should be all out attack hence attacking full backs. Too be honest, I'm unsure if Izzaguire would play in Europe as just too attacking but he would be in my team every time in SPL. I also think Rhodes is a target man as he scores loads of headers. A target man doesnt have to be 6 ft 2 and above - Samaras proves that. As for Daly, simply not Celtic class in my opinion mate ................martyc1888

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Lenny can sleep soundly, his jobs safe. Villa job up for grabs tho mate...go for it {Ed007's Note - Paul Lambert will be next AV manager. He has asked Norwich for permission to talk to them and be allowed to leave.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Personaly ad play wanyama cb and ledley in middle o the park not out left were he seems to be gettin played. as for rhodes a just cant see it happenin celtic could sell 3 players tomorrow for 15m and still wont spend 5m on a player. the ones we will sign is ones no ones heard off just like your wanyamas izzys kayal celtic have the best in the business in john park. if big forster doesnt sign 100% its gordon watch this space. mikeybhoy27

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd settle for that team. Not so sure we'd still get £6m for Ki though, a while back maybe but recently he's been shocking!...

Nice thought thought :)

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream team... Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Exaclty what Mikeybhoy said, Big Vic at center half, would work wonders. Strong, good in the air, composed, and I'm sure he's played there before? Ledley has to stay. He's our unsung hero in CM. Never played a bad game

kev88

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree that Ledley should be a starter as he is so versatile and valuable all over the park. I don't know anything about Mills so I can't comment on him. Rhodes is very expensive, but we get a young developing talent who will probably gain in value. Daly or Holt could also give us more ariel and hold-up options, but my concern is Foster who could have been signed at any time during the loan, but things have stalled for whatever reason.
So do we need another Goalie?

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes is 6ft 1 anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Need to keep ledley and brown in midfield, thought both were outstanding this season although it's beena while coming from broony. don't know if russell from dundee utd still on the radar but would be a good addition

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes is 6ft 1 anyway

So is Kris Boyd. Just because he is tall doesnt make him capable of holding up the ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why pay £5m for a player who played in league 1 last season, when u can get a world class player for that price?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard that fraser forster is coming back to us . . .newcastle

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't have broony on the bench, no way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just wonderin whos gonna pay this amount of money for these players?

ed just thimking what other options would fifa try to come up with instead of penalties {Ed007's Note - The Crossbar Challenge from SoccerAM :-)

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Go back to golden goal but every 5 minutes 2 players have to come off the park. Potentialy 3 a side or less. Till a goal i scored.
God i talk some p1sh t this time of night. Would be pretty funny though.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the idea of another match back to back 30 minutes after the first match has gone through extra time. Effectively a match1 and a match2. I would rule that no player can play more than 120 mins on the night. So the subs and those that were subbed in the first match can play what I would call the reserve minutes up to but not over 120 mins play time inclusive for both match1 and match2. This throws up some interesting permutations; for example if you were subbed for tactical/form reasons in the first match you could play the whole game of normal time in the second. It may also give the managers something to consider regarding the overall tactics...Do they weaken the team at some point in match 1 hoping for a second game and allowing some reserve minutes for the best players? It also ensures that most of, if not all the first team squads of both teams play. If the game is still a draw after 240 mins (highly unlikely) then I think the team who scored the most goals throughout the competition should be awarded the tie with a more equitable but not equal sharing of the allocated prize money for the final awarded to the losing team. The fans get two matches for the price of one better than any BOGOFF deal in history and it gets rid of the dreaded pen kicks. The other benefits are most of the first team squad get a game and the depth of the clubs resources are tested not just the best 14. The drawbacks are mainly due to the logistics of having the fans in the stadium for a few more hours than normally expected. Sopot Celt.

Agree0 Disagree0

After extra time, the teams field their accountants and the one who is most up to date with HMRC payments wins :-) Stan

Agree0 Disagree0

At least penlties involve the skills required of a professional footballer and I enjoy them. Player removal - I would take this a step further and have each team down to 10 men if the 90 minutes is a draw. Then down to eight players each while playing for the goalden goal after the extra time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one Stan....I had considered getting the Kitman to take penalties but I was trying to be semi serious! Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

Joeshmo1888 not p!sh not a bad idea actually i dont think it would ever get to less than 7 a side with all the open spaces . and who do you take off first defenders or attackers mmmm interesting.. should say though i saw someone from fifa on eurosport saying they are thinking of doing one on one. i think that means starting from the 1/2 way line and get a set amount of time to get the ball in the net , by chipping the keeper or taking it around him. he didn't say how long the would be scorer gets to do this..bb

Agree0 Disagree0

Extra time MULTI BALL

Agree0 Disagree0

D what the americans done in the mls a few years ago dont know if they still do it what they done was penalty taker took the ball from half way between the 18 yard box and halfway line and ran towards goal with it giving the keeper more of a fighting chance.

IMO although the money will be better why would boy of our players want to leave a club of our size and history for the likes of reading qpr west ham southhampton 3 of which have just came up and one saved by a late goal. i personally would rather play in CL or EUROPA than a team thats goin to struggle to make it in top half of there league. MEDALS NOT MONEY THEY NEED TO THINK THAT 1ST

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Unfortunately a lot of players go for money first, as well as that most players apart from Scottish ones know they have a much bigger chance of international football playing in a mediocre English team than scoring 85 goals against Scottish clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

The EPL is the most watched in the world you never know might move to england for a smaller team play well and get signed for a bigger team most players dream is to play in the EPL

If rangers lose the btc hearts will get £8000 for wallace vienna will get £12000 for jelavic (even although rangers will get 3.5 million from everton) we will get £400 is there not sanctions for teams who dont pay there football debts in full {Ed007's Note - I don't know if it is 100% true but supposedly Rapid have entered a formal complaint with UEFA.}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I think that fotoball debts are different and need to be piad in full {Ed007's Note - That rule only applies in England, the football debts take priority over all others.}

What players would you try to move on and add to the squad at the moment? I'm happy to let hooper go for supposedly 6/7 million to southampton but i'd be reluctant to spend 3/4 million on a player like jordan rhodes who has not played at a higher level yet and we have to think about players who would do a job in europe

Believable2 Unbelievable6

I'd sell Ki, Stokes and Wilson and let all fringe players who don't get a sniff of any action leave on a free. Ideally buy Forster, if that fails bring in Gordon. As I'd like to see a Rogne/Mulgrew partnership develop I'd be happy to just bring in Mills and give Loovens another year as back up.Henriksen in to bolster the midfield and add Rhodes & Markus Rosenberg/Grant Holt up top. Think that would be a successful transfer window...or maybe I play too much FM lol

Mikey Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres not a hope in hell gettin rhodes for 3/4 million think wat shane long went for wen we were after him no chance we will buy unknown as usual and hopefully turn out good.in john park wee trust. mikeybhoy27

What do we think about yakubu signing for celtic? Or michael owen? Both proven at a high level. Yakubu is the target man we lack at the moment, could be an alternative when things arent working out in a game. Michael owen has experience and could be very useful for us especially in europe. I know hes past it but the goal never moves.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Although Yakubu is a big lump of a boy he doesnt really play like a target-man. I cant see him joining us to be honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take Yakubu to be honest but Owen.....no chance! Past it, injury prone and would be a bit like Llungberg I think, just a bad move!

Just my opinion though... ;-)

Hey, Ed, can I just ask, what is your opinion on the No.7 jersey? Like, do you think anyone in the current squad deserves it, and if so, who? Or what about anyone we are reportedly "after"? In my opinion, the No.7 is just too important at Celtic, and you must earn it through merit, not just because of a large transfer fee or good reputation...opinions?

Danjam {Ed007's Note - Out of the current squad Dan I would only say Forrest, Ibrahim or McGeough could wear it in the future. Markus Henriksen would be the type of player who I could see wearing it.}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Yeah, Ed, I was thinking Forrest as well

Danjam

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Hooper deserved it after season he's just had but if he's trying to leave then NO.Forrest would be worthy but i don't think Ibrahim and McGeough have done enough yet Ed.I would offer it to Rhodes as an incentive in any possible talks since he knows the importance of that number and a chance to follow in Larsson's footsteps.What do you think Ed,then that might work?

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I don't think Forrest deserves it yet either, but the type of player that we expect to wear it only those three fit the bill. I think Rhodes is a bit too down to earth to allow shirt numbers etc sway any decision, but it would be worth a try :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you seem pretty impressed with Henrikson from what I can gather. What do you think our chances are of signing him?

I must admit I have only seen his youtube highlight video and the game against England but he does look a player.

Do you think if him and AJ Leitch Smith arrive it will spell the end for Commons or is it going to be a one or the other arrangement?

Mac {Ed007's Note - Henriksen is a fantastic prospect Mac, and there is interest in him from PSV, Brugge and Schalke, but CFC seem to be in a strong position. Interest from Aston Villa has ended since McLeish was sacked and Bayern Munich's interest has waned. The financial package won't be a problem as far as I know with the fee around £2.5 - 3 million (3 million Euros approx??). Other teams might become alerted to his availability but I am hoping we are already a bit further on in negotiations than any other team.
Commons really turned things round over the season. I expected him to be out the door ASAP during the summer, it could still happen though but if he stays I hope he continues in the form he showed towards the end of the season.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Its hard to say. look at players like juninho and ljungberg, both wore it and did nothing!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Only our best player should wear no 7 dont think anyone is good enough to wear it just now,a striker at celtic should score 30 plus goals a year without trying then the 7 should be on that back

Agree0 Disagree0

Commons at the end of the season was excellent. I dont know what went wrong with him at the start of the season or why he was so overweight but he really seemed to have his mind on something else. It reminded me of how Brown played when he was suffering such a terrible situation with his sister. Heaven forbid anything like that being the case but he seemed to have a similar lack of focus.

Henriksen sounds like a great player. Interest from Bayern is some advert for him. I hope he joins Celtic and earns the number 7 shirt. It would be quite poetic having a guy named Henriksen wear it.

Mac {Ed007's Note - Thankfully it was nothing as tragic as Brown's situation with Commons that I know of. If I had even heard a murmur of anything like that I wouldn't have slated him on here.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Commons was a disaster early doors. I am amazed that he seems to have knuckled down and did a good job near the end of the season. Things had turned around for the team by then so I am not convinced and I think he may revert to type at the start of next season. Henrikson looks like a prospect. Head up driving forward, that boy is a footballer! I would be delighted to see him in the Hoops.Sopot Celt.

Agree0 Disagree0

With regards to commons my brother told me he read on Commons's twitter or facebook (one of the two) that he wont be taking the summer off instead will be working on his fitness and being ready for the start of the season. I hope its true, not that everyone shouldnt have a holiday, just that the fitness thing is what i think has been holding him back and i think it would do him good. Would show great professionalism too.

Tougher financial fair play rules introduced

All 12 SPL clubs met today at Hampden Park to consider a number of different matters relating to newcos and financial fair play.

It was agreed that, in future, any decision on the transfer of a share to a newco from any club will be considered by all member clubs, rather than the SPL Board, with flexibility to impose sanctions appropriate to each individual circumstance. The resolutions proposing fixed penalties on a newco were therefore withdrawn as being obsolete.

Following the circulation to creditors of CVA proposals, the SPL Board withdrew the resolution to consider a transfer of Rangers FC SPL share to a newco. No newco proposal is currently under consideration by the SPL.

The following resolutions were also approved by the Clubs and come into effect immediately:

– An increase in the sporting sanctions for any Club going into administration in the future, from ten points to the greater of ten points and one third of the Club’s SPL points total in the preceding season;

– An extension of the sporting sanctions regime to the situation where the parent company of an SPL Club goes into administration;

– Updates and extensions to the definition of ‘Insolvency Events’ in the SPL Rules to track recent changes in insolvency law;

– Specific requirements for SPL Clubs to pay their players and HMRC on time and be subject to sanctions if they do not. Clubs must also report to the SPL any failure to pay players or HMRC on time.

The members’ resolution to amend SPL voting rules to an 9-3 vote in all cases was adjourned to the SPL’s Annual General Meeting on 16 July.

SPL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster commented: “The new rules will impose more onerous sanctions on clubs which go into administration in the future. By making any failure to pay players on time a disciplinary issue, the SPL has sent a clear signal of the vital importance of clubs living within their means. Equally clubs which fail to live within their means will be punished proportionately.

“And, if clubs do not keep up to date with their PAYE and NIC, they will be made subject to a player registration embargo until they are up to date.

“This is a progressive and bold package of changes, for which clubs should be congratulated.â€

Gormleys thank the Celtic family

THE family of Reamonn Gormley have thanked Celtic for the support offered to them, and also to the wider Celtic family, not only for their support but also for the welcome they gave to the kids from the Good Child Foundation during their visit to Scotland.

Reamonn's father, Jim, said: 'Everyone at Celtic, from Peter Lawwell and Neil Lennon, to all the members of staff working in the various departments at the club have been wonderful to myself, Ann and Kieron, and it really means a lot to us.

'And it was great to see the way in which the Celtic fans took the Thai Tims to their hearts when the kids visited. It was magnificent to see, and just shows what the Celtic family is all about.

'This has helped us through a difficult period in our lives and it's something that Ann, Kieron and I really appreciate.'

Jim and Ann Gormley presented a special plaque in memory of their son, Reamonn, to Neil Lennon on behalf of the Thai Tims. A similar plaque is on display at the Good Child Foundation School in Thailand.

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: 'Reamonn was an inspiration to us all, and in his all-too-short life, he made a lasting impact on everyone he met. That is clear from the voluntary work he did with the Good Child Foundation.

'His loss remains very painful for his parents, Jim and Ann, and his brother, Kieron, and the support offered by the Celtic family continues to be very important to them.'

To all celtic fans,i think best way our club can stick knife in if we sell 45-50 thousand season tickets ASAP,
It would be very big carrot to dangle for new players,
Finance these deals,therefore enhancing the teams progress,
In oneil era we spent 40 million,
With record attendances & paradise was scary for any team as it was full,
We need to see bums on seats all year the rest will follow,

Believable12 Unbelievable7

While the money men at celtic let rankers off scotfree won't get my money again if this happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

27000 season tickets sold , very poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

End of the day, even if 45-50k season tickets are sold, it ain't going to attract 'big name players' if the opposition is (and no disrespect to anyone, but) st.mirren, Ross county, Hibs, st.johnstone et al each week, if no European football is guaranteed. Which it ain't. Think about it! And fans on here question why the likes of Hooper might leave? Em?....more wages, higher standard of football, better opposition, and possibly better chance of being seen on the bigger scale (as lets face it, noone is interested in Scottish football out with Scotland other than world-wide Celtic and rangers fans) and therefore the better possibility of being spotted/respected/considered for their national squad!! Simple decision really if that's your motive? Not the jersey or the history!

Hi Ed, sorry to keep pestering you with questions but you seem a man in the know and well it's what you're here for lol any idea of the fee reportedly agreed between CFC & Club America for Juarez?

Mikey Bhoy {Ed007's Note - I am only catching up Mikey I was busy all day. I would actually be surprised if there is any fee involved.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Its on some mexican website that its a done deal!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed, hopefully we get some sort of return...even a sell on clause or something. As well as we'v done the past two years at spotting great talent at bargain prices who'll make the club tens of millions of pounds over time it's a bit baffling that the more expensive ones i.e Juarez, Murphy and Bangura have been a total let down

Mikey Bhoy {Ed007's Note - Every transfer is a gamble but we have 'wasted' a a few millions recently although overall I can't complain.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasted a "few" million? £4m u stated in fee alone for the mexican, £2m for the wrong striker & apprx another £2m for a previously widely known dud from sunderland is a lot of money. add in salary and i'm afraid that cancels out a hefty % of the good buys potential return to the club. so "wasted" - absolutely

Agree0 Disagree0

I think thats a bit harsh. Juarez is definately a cracking player but it hasnt worked out for him.

Murphy has always had the talent to be a very good striker but not the drive and agression neccesary. If he had developed that here he would have been an excellent member of the squad.

As for the signing wrong Bangura that is a complete Myth. I've got a lot of friends in Sweden who say that of the two Mo was miles better, Teteh got goals but most of them were created by Mo. Teteh Bangura is a poacher type striker and not in the same league as gary Hooper. "Like a black Kris Boyd" was how one of my friends described him.

When you are buying low-mid priced players in the hope of unearthing superstars you will have flops. Lenny/John Park's success rate has been incredible. Izzy, Kayal, Matthews, Ledley, Wanyama, Hooper were all signed for a pittance relatively speaking or nothing and could all be sold for £5 million plus.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Well putting it into perspective Ledley, Kayal, Mathews, Wanyama, Mulgrew, Izzaguire, Hooper cost a combined total of roughly £5m which you could probably command at least for each 1 now. Now add those names to the three signing who didn't work out and you have a 70% success rate. Not too shabby really

Is it just me or does it seem a bit strange that the papers who have been saying that Southampton will bid for hooper, suddenly find two other teams who are interested the day after Southampton put a bid in for Rodriguez? Maybe I'm just being cynical

Howie bhoy {Ed007's Note - His agent was in England last week to talk to clubs about him.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Ed007 .. Simon Dent is based in London and has not been meeting clubs about Gary ... West ham and Qpr have shown no interest in him upto now and is other players agents spreading this for their own game . The Norwich rumours are just that ...rumours.
LondonBhoy {Ed007's Note - I said he was in England, not just London.}

Agree0 Disagree0

..ed 007 ....being close to the family i can assure u Simon Dent hasnt met any clubs this week or last regarding Hooper . Not sure where u got this info from ? {Ed007's Note - Well it's obviously someone that knows a lot more than you.}

Agree0 Disagree0

No disrespect ed you show great knowledge on a lot of stories but I am closer to all this than u could ever know.No clubs were visited about Gary last few weeks .
LONDONBHOY {Ed007's Note - Well somebody is forging paperwork.....}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed love this site but sometimes u appear to be a bit aloof and dismissive of posters. londonbhoy has been on here since last wk claiming this story is false yet you come out with comments which seem harsh. if he's left an email address why not pms him? likewise londonbhoy, if u have an inside story tell ed {Ed007's Note - You don't need to read it, do you?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 007 ...back up your claim Ed because It honestly is not correct...no clubs have been visited apart from Celtic in the last 3 weeks ...there has been calls from clubs enquiring about his position but no meetings . {Ed007's Note - I don't need to back anything up and I am not asking you to. At no point did I say any clubs had been visited, I just said clubs were spoken to.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 007 ... lets start again because my posts were based on his agent meeting clubs. No clubs have been met and the main issue is he will not be touted about ..Yes clubs have been spoken to and have expressed interest but same clubs have expressed interest in 4-5 other big names being banded about. Will be an interesting summer hopefully which sees Gary offered a contract he deserves by Celtic.
LONDONBHOY. {Ed007's Note - So you are now admitting that there has been talks with other clubs and if clubs have been spoken to about the player isn't that him being touted about or them being made aware of the situation? I want Hooper to stay mate, I am only passing what I have been told and seen. I said the other day that Southampton had cooled on Hooper and were looking to sign Rodriguez instead, I am well aware that clubs have other targets. If and it is a big IF, Hooper signs a new contract then it is only because no EPL team is willing to buy him just now. He has said himself that he is happy to see out the remaining two years of his contract, that doesn't sound like the words of a man looking to extend his stay but more that he is happy to sit on his current wage and walk away for nothing in two years. Money has nothing to do with this, it is down to his ambition to play in the EPL and break into the England squad, exactly what I have said all along.}

Evening ed,

Received another email from someone at the daily record today about the tam Cowan thing it's goes as follows,

Dear Mr. Hutchison

Thank you for your letter.

I spoke to Tam about this and agreed to publish an apology and to make a donation to the Good Child Foundation.

Tam is upset that he has caused offence, as he is a big fan of the Thai Tims and thought they were totally inspirational on their visit to Scotland.

Yours sincerely

Just noticed this at the bottom of the season ticket price guide.
NB: Season Tickets include/exclude matches against Rangers FC or a successor to it.

I sincerely hope we carry out our transfer business swiftly and professionally when the 'window' opens, although I understand the trend of players holding off until the last days to get the best deal?
The qualifiers used to be a dawdle even though we were under-prepared; but that was with better, more experienced players.
Missing out on the treble showed we are still vulnerable at times - with so called 'underdogs'
So it's important to strengthen and the team gels quickly as qualification means cash, attracting good players and restoring our European reputation.
Priority must be the spine of the team Goalkeeper, Centre back, playmaker and striker.
If Foster and Hooper want away so be it.
But we must firstly get shot of all the deadwood that are not in NL's plans ASAP.

Most of this 'deadwood' has left on a free - Loovens, Wilson, Cha, Majstorovic. A bit has been recouped from Juarez and I can't see O'Dea's contract being renewed. Rasmussen will probably be sold for a small fee but i reckon the likes of Paddy and Sammy will stay. Can see bids being accepted for Ki - this is when 'quality' will be brought in.

ED with the banned now "lifted" and it has to go to sfa, would that mean the conflicted former rangers man/director be incharge of the punishment? cause if so i am really worried that they will try and hurt other clubs, mainly Celtic because we all know the rivalry btw the 2.

as well do you think we have signed anyone and that we have to wait until June or July 1st when the window opens? i remember you saying something about June 1st with transfers...if your answering one the first question would be nice,lol. {Ed007's Note - Why would Campbell Ogilve be involved in Rangers punishment, he wasn't part of the last tribunal. Players can't be signed or registered until the 1st July, deals can be agreed but nothing official can be done until then.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Followed celtic for 46 years if they get back in without serious sancions i am finished with scottish football

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I think we can sign who we want when we want but we just can't register them until july1st is this correct mate. {Ed007's Note - ?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to clarify, signings can take place now. Registrations however cannot be lodged till July 1st. In other words contracts exchanged any time effective July 1st. Given theres no domestic footie between now and then July 1st is an irrelevance to the close season and won't make any difference to most. As for RFC, they can't do anything till July 12th at the earliest as in administration till then unless CVA falls in which case they will be forming a NEWCO and who knows!. {Ed007's Note - Until the transfer window officially opens on the 1st of July, clubs can agree that a transfer will take place and the terms of that transfer. Players, with the agreement of their club, can agree terms but cannot sign anything.}

GARY HOOPER is at the centre of a tug-of-war between English Premier League giants West Ham and QPR. The clubs could land the Celtic hotshot for a fee of around £7 million, "but the 29-goal striker is hopeful of a move to Barcelona"
courtesy of the faily record

you just got to laugh at this last line. i mean right we all know hoopers a great player but who honestly writes this pish !

Wilsybhoy

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Think the last part was taken from an interview Hoops gave a few days ago.
He was asked his goals for the future and he said something along the lines of he'd like to play at the highest level like all player and his dream would be to play for Barca.
Daily Rectum, always talking pi5h!

Does anyone know who Rhodes supported as a youngster? I'm just wondering if he would be persuaded to come paradise for the love of the team. I would love to see him adorning the Hooops next season but in all honesty i think the lure of the EPL will be that little bit too tempting. Yes , we have Europe to offer even if we don't qualify for the C.L but with the way the entire Scottish game has been brought into disrepute i can't see him turning down the opportunity to play against Clubs like Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City once or twice a week.

He is a celtic supporter but cannae celtic paying the money huddersfield are looking for. {Ed007's Note - He has been up for a few derby games at Celtic Park and supposedly sat in the Celtic end at Ibrox a couple of years back.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched an interview on soccer am and can confirm he supports Celtic u should find it on YouTube hail hail

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic supporter has a season ticket he gives to friends when he's playing:jiggythetim

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye cause it's the leagues disrepute thats gonna make him favour the EPL. Get real friend. Maybe 15 to 20 years ago a visit to SPL would have caught the eye of some even if EPL was an option but disrepute is not half as worrying as the devolution and the state of our league. Inverness away, aberdeen away, st.johnstone away, maybe no Rangers away... Or Newcastle away, Man City away, Chelsea away

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm beginning to think we'll sign him actually. Can see us bringing in Forster eventually, Mills on loan with view to permanent, Henriksen and Rhodes as first teamers, with Leitch Smith and either offering Glenda a new contract (hopefully not) or bringing in another lesser known like Fojut was going to be. I don't think we'd need anymore players on top of that unless Hooper ends up leaving. Kevslug.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes is celtic fan, he use to live in a wee town called cairnyhill in fife near dunfermline, my brothers mate lived in his street and said hes been a celtic fan since a boy. hail hail!
