Just been watching Neil Warnocks interview on sky sports news and he said he's tried to get a number of free agents in including Bothroyd but for one reason or another they're not coming His words

Zander Diamond to join on a free transfer in the next 48 hours along with a GK who i'm led to believe is none other than Blackpool shot stopper Matt Gilks. This came from my cousin Fudge who's man in the know is very rarely wrong. Watch this space.

As far as i heard diamonds knee is in tatters and even motherwell changed their mind on him after hearts did.......so doubtful celtic would take a punt on a dodgy knee allied with a s**tey player.

Matt Gils just signed a new 2 year contract with blackpool on friday and as for Diamond, we already have 9 centre halfs on our books and hes not any better than the bad ones we have

Diamond is absolutely not good enough, and I'm sure Gilks signed a new contract with Blackpool on Friday.... so it would appear that Fudge has indeed fudged it up

Stop making up nonsense. NL was only saying the other day that after signing wanyama we need to get rid of two or three centre halves so why would we go and sign another who isn't even as good as the one we're getting rid of.

Diamond is usless and Gilks just resigned for Blackpool.

said pletikosa would sign a month ago however it looks more likely it will be on a free than the £1m i previously said on a 2 year deal. therefore this frees more money for a striker and may mean that celtic can afford to offer bothroyd a bit more money to tempt him as he wouldnt involve a fee either.

60,000 seated stadium, one of the largest fan bases worldwide, european football, challenging for honours, and a club surrounded in history. Aye you would have to think twice to see if its up to much?????

Heard from two different sources, one in Brimingham & one in London that Lennon has had an offer for him turned down, the bid was around £3m but Blackburn are thought to be after at least £5m.

A top quality player , would walk into first team. Would cost a bomb so doubt it but would be a perfect signing for us

We need a hole new back 5, thats including a new goal keeper, a decent box 2 box midfielder, and a decent big target man to partner hooper upfront, we also need to get rid of atlest 5 or 6 dead wood players........

Is he really what we need? Another attacking midfielder, we could field a whole team of midfielders Even for free I cant see him getting in ahead of any of the current squad. I say again, we need a GK, CH, CF - spend decent money on all 3 and get rid of at least 11 deadwood "players" -we all know who they are taking a wage out fo the club

Lenny will not be sending any striker out on loan as he's frustrated about the lack of fire-power coming in. Bellamy, Bothroyd and Huskelap ( Spelling ) are all looking unlikely. We may start the season without a new striker.

Id get rid of that blank of wood for free, 15 grand a week ha ha ha haha and 3 goals, 2 of them were penaltys. loan deal.......oot the door son

pletikosa defo at celtic on trial, skysports, wikapedia and other sources confirm this. if he can show he still has quality of 2-3years ago he will be signed on a 2 year deal. He has been interested in coming to celtic since strachan's time but things havent worked out. A top keeper like that coming on a trial shows commitment he has in joining the bhoys. Would be a case of taking over his contract/free transfer (not 100% on which one) rather than a fee involved.

I think it would be us taking over his contract as he cannot go back to Spartak as they now have the allowed number of foreign players in their squad.
A fee would be too difficult for them to try for as they are in a sticky situation here (why pay anything for someone that they cannot play but they still have to pay). So just taking his contract over (which runs until 2013) would be in their best interests.

This also ties in with you 2 year contract statement so would guess it would be the case.

stipe pletkosa on trial with cfc great keeper and would be the best keeper since boruc left if he can prove fitness he will sign 2 year deal :)
