According to Italian press, Michael Ciani is close to completing a move to Celtic. cm67

1.) Hope it's not to little to late. At last someone with a bit of experience in defence. Ian L

2.) 007, I think I have been banned again mate. Or a technical error ;)

Can you sort it out for me again please. Thanks.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - You haven't been banned/blocked as far as I can see Syd. I was actually wondering where you had got to yesterday I was expecting a retort from you lol. I have passed on your message to the geeks buddy, have you tried to post today?}

3.) Thanks mate. I did come back with a few bombs, but they didn't get through ;)

Truth be told, I am actually a big fan of Rooney (bar last season) and always look for him on the team sheet. However I do think SAF tried to offload him this summer. I hope last season wasn't a sign of things to come and was just a one off.

What do you make of the Herrera bid? He's a good player and if I am not mistaken he was a player Barcelona earmarked for Cesc's replacement. So should be a good buy. He's built for the EPL, but has the tippy tappy Spanish technical ability. I did think we wanted a creative midfielder and a bit of muscle for midfield.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - The geeks have told me to tell you to use the 'Contact Us' form mate so they can look into what has happened. If Rooney doesn't get the finger out this season he will struggle to even find a top team willing to buy him or pay him what he is looking for. He seems to at least have came back in better shape than last summer, I thought he looked more like his old self shape wise against Chelsea. AF was out of order saying what he did about him on TV though, he only created a severe headache for the club, Moyes, Rooney and the fans by saying it. As you have said, maybe a bit of lingering 'afters' over his last contract negotiations.
If Utd buy Herrera it will be a massive step in the right direction. Obviously he wasn't a first choice signing but that doesn't worry me, it's not as if you can class him as a panic-buy. I always said I could stomach signing Fellaini as long as he wasn't the only MF player brought in.
Utd really need to get rid of some deadwood though Syd, guys like Young, Anderson and even Nani are just floating about collecting massive wages for doing sod all. How many chances has Anderson had to prove himself? Young was just a strange/bad buy altogether and Nani is far too inconsistent to play for a top team.}

4.) 007, first of all I chose this thread as it's discontinued by the Celtic fans so they will be unaware that I am using it to chat to you.

I think you are right about Anderson and I think he will be sold if we buy both Herrera and Fellaini. I also think it would be difficult to keep Ev if Baines is brought in, but not impossible. Nani is very inconsistent, but did not get on with SAF at all. I think we may see a 2011 Nani return and that Nani was a very good player. I agree with Rooney, all of it. Was my fave player for years even when Ronny was here, but last season did get on my nerves. I hope if he stays he knuckles down, but I do not see him agreeing a deal. He will defo want an improved deal and I doubt we will give him one. Certainly not on last season's showing.

With Nani I think talks with Juve were simple, they have told him to wind down his deal and they will have him for free next summer. They are a sly bunch. Young I think is a useful squad player and I think Nani, Young will come in very handy this season in the cups. It would be nice to use them in the domestic cups and in the easy EPL games (if there's such thing) so that we keep our best players fit all season. I will contact the site tomorrow mate, off out on the p1ss tonight. Take care 007 and speak again tomorrow sometime.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - I hate Juventus as I do all Italian teams, you never know if matches are fixed or not! Have a great night Syd, speak soon mate.}

Hi there, just wondering if Ed had any concrete rumours about players coming in a Celtic park. Players like Kevin Doyle are surely not coming to Celtic park to be our top striker? Feel like Finnbogason would be a great signing from what I have seen of him, also heard a rumour about Tom Huddlestone, I think if we managed to pull off these two signings it would improve the team dramatically, anyone agree?

1.) Totally agree, It's just the longer we wait on Finnboggason the more pesamistic I get. Now EPL sniffing around. maybe missed the boat and Hoisner was another I like the look of who is now cup tied

Hi Ed, i'm a good friend of Fletchs and as far as i'm aware his wage is actually a lot closer to the 60-70k mark! Unfortunately way out of our price range. Really hope that last night opened the eyes of the board to the obvious facts that we need to buy some top quality players before the end of this window, CL or not! {Ed007's Note - Sunderland operate a wage cap at £50k a week.}
