if/when we sell wanyama say 15 mill +10 mill from champions league money. i think these would be signings i would want barry bannan or dorrans. drogba for two years. give the rest to john park and send him to south america. any thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable10

Bannan? What has this bot done to merit our attention? South America is a no no for us due to our archaic work permit application system.........green jhedi

Agree8 Disagree1

I agree GJ, Bannon is guff. Looking at signing players based on they're nationality is short sighted aswell. Gifted players can appear from anywhere, and more than often are cheaper than a South American. There is also like you stated the work permit issue with them.

Sorry to post about the newco but....with all the recent stamping of feet and spitting the dummy out by CG regarding not getting to vote on reconstruction because they are "new" members of the league and only given associate membership (and will remain associate members for 4years) surely puts paid to the new club old club debate. Maybe the one bit of truth to come out the crazy ones mouth was no cva.....no rangers

Jd

Believable11 Unbelievable0

I firmly agree with Charles Green...."a failed CVA means the club, the history, its all washed way, finished".

I firmly agree with James Traynor "Oldco Rangers, the one with the history....."

Agree9 Disagree0

They cannot deny this nonsense any more. If he had bought the history(snigger) then they would surely have a vote? The fact is a compliant Scottish media will not ask this prickly question, even with green being very publicly quoted saying the CVA failure had killed the old club. The levels of denial are staggering. No votes in the reconstruction;= NEW CLUB. No European football for four years= NEW CLUB............green jhedi

i don't really know if i agree with the new proposed league structure or not i don't no the ins and outs of the game like many posters on this site i just no i love celtic with all my heart
and im not very fond of that mob to put it mildly but if their not really happy with it i sugest we just let them leave somewhere that they have become acustom to the style of play and skill level required any one no if the faroe isles league is open to new membership ?
thommy j

Believable6 Unbelievable0

While it does seem to have some flaws it is the only game in town. The size and population up here means there will always be clubs with very small attendances.I have an open mind on the whole thing, but i have a feeling it might not be too bad. The rangers problem is being omitted from the vote, as they are a new club they are not full members, and the fact that green cannot increase season tickets next year. Fan wise, i suspect the thought of another year of watching what they have this year, has tempered the excitement of their "journey"............green jhedi

Chico Glinty Pinochio on the news spitting the dummy and being his usual contrary negative self. No change there then. Appears to now be a self appointed champion for other chairmens fans, saying the fans aren't being consulted.
Green is being self serving looking for a 16 top tier three league set up giving The Rankers a one year leapfrog to SPL. That's all. That's the whole Jabba and green issue.

The SPL/SFL/SFA have stated now they have con census on a model, fans are to be consulted on that model. It's called logical due process. I'll be happy to go along with anything Peter Lawwell agrees to, I have complete trust and faith in my chairman.

Ska bhoy,

Agree5 Disagree0

Just watched Green on news. Why is he always coming across as disingenuous and nervy? Never happy or smiling, always negative. He basically refuses to understand the cold hard facts of the Rangers situation; disliked in Scotland for what the old club did, disbelief at the language of the new club, combative culture, hubris, no contrition, nobody across Scottish football gives a hoot about them.

Agree8 Disagree1

Green has to keep playing to his audience. He has to continue to be seen as the guy who will not let The rangers be pushed around, while forgetting he gave up the clubs voting rights to allow his BRAND NEW CLUB into the bottom tier of Scottish football. He will be furious because he knows there is no way he can hike up the season tickets by £100-150 next year. With inflation and wages increases, his running costs will rise but his income will remain the same or increase minutely.........green jhedi

Many Rangers fans like to think the frenzy to cause the club as much additional pain as possible was driven by one club but that wasn't strictly the case. Many fans of many clubs waded in but this is not to say Celtic fans or their club didn't attempt to influence the outcome of debates on Rangers and possible sanctions.
Of course they did. And they are still at it on social media sites and on blogs clattered out by individuals who are no better than semi-literate.
This is the p155 that prat traynor is writing on the official website of the zombies jt1

so the spl have just been announced the 24th best league in the world, a drop from 17th place. now celtic were also recognised as the 22nd best club/team. surely as a club they need to seek an exit. if this is how big the club is sitting in the 24th best league, imagine what we could be in a european or northern european league. forget the epl, they're all eith too scared of us or too ignorant to see what we would bring to that league. sky will determine that much, as soon as armchair fans get bored of your stoke v wigan games. which is quickly happening.

From BBC:

Charles Green's Rangers were only granted entry to the SFL last summer following their meltdown - on condition they start in Division Three as associate members.

They are therefore excluded from voting for four seasons and will not be polled when SFL clubs go to the ballot on reconstruction at an egm, most likely next month.

The SFL needs 22 of its 29 members with full voting rights to go with the change and clubs will pore over details of yesterday's talks before the egm is called.

A Scottish League spokesman said: "As an associate member, Rangers will have no voting rights on the new structure."

One SFL insider said: "It's a bit cheeky of Rangers to ask to be involved in talks when they don't even have a vote.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

We forget a new club entering SFL needs four years accounts to get in. Sevco Rangers didn't have that so in a charitable mindset the new club were allowed in only as associates for four years. Under the new single body sevco status will remain as associate with no voting rights.
The SFA needs to come out and state this associate club is a new club with no history. There is no other legal status.

Speculation, speculation and even more speculation......
Yet again we are linked with nearly every player in Europe, and yet again half of us run around wanting to believe it's all true. Even when we know it isn't.
There's nothing wrong with being curious about potential transfer activity but let's keep it in perspective folks.
Oh and by the way, before I forget.....I heard from my sister that my cousin's next door neighbours uncle's cat groomer's 12 year old nephew-in-law's teacher's milkman reckons we might possibly be thinking of talking about a meeting with a friend of the brother of the representative of Frank Lampard about a one day loan deal with the option to extend it to 2 days.
I'm not saying it's a sure thing but based on this info I'd say it's a pretty much nailed on certainty that there's a 3% chance it'll happen!

Happy Transfer Window everyone!
