Im pretty sure the lower stand at one end of the ground is something to do with the houses behind it, they had to keep it to reasonable height to get the planning permission.

I did try take the Mrs to a game once but when i turned to her at half time and she was nearly crying i knew it was time to go. It wasnt exactly the best advert, a dour 1-0 win over Killie in the middle of winter so i can't really blame her, I was nearly greeting too it was that bad lol!

Baz, GTID DavieT hopefully the eds will sse that we aren't all bigoted t**ts and people form either side can have serous converstaions with out relying o name calling etc. Have seen a couple of posts saying I want to be an editor, that is not my MO, although I would be honoured to do it if asked, and would like think I Rangers fans/ supporters would trust me to be objectibve to sensibe posts (with a name if you have one). It would be a sad day to end the Old Firm pages Ed, if we can ignore and force away the tosssers, it could become the best forum ariund. I'm fed up of constant sectarian abuse n other sides, so just avoid them. Keep up the sterllig work, best, unbiased and least hateful on heh Net. Plaese dint stop the Old Firm pages ED, we;ll even try to police the ourselves if need be! !

Watching the scotland game tonight, and it was the first time i have seen the aviva stadium, it looks a bit strange behind one goal, and it also only holds 51000, seems a bit small with the crowds they get for rugby, and european finals being held there. I thought scotland looked quite good tonight, i know we weren't up against much, but there are a lot of good young players coming through, and playing at decent club level as well, you never know, we might get to a big tournament if craig levein would stop being so defensive! paddybhoy { new ed's note: I agree the stadium does look a bit strange without the full seating behind one goal}

Baz the Bear (and the others like us)

Great points.

Sickbhoy and GTID are others who have seen this type of behaviour become more prevailent in recent times. There are decent fans out there who can have decent conversations and decent banter. There are more coming who have taken the time (as sickbhoy suggested) to actualyy out their "tag/ handle" after their post.

I'm surprised we're still allowed to have our own pages! As I've said before, is it any wonder the rest of the footballing country has a laugh at our expense?

Do most of you realise that others call us The Ugly Sisters? Are you even aware of that? Don't you feel the least bit of shame?

My Mrs is from the other side too mate ( protestant Celtic supporter, been to gether that long she didn't have much choice lol. Our first date was a Celtic v Hearts game at Paradise. I'm just a pure romantic at heart by the way, changed our wedding date because it clashed with an old firm game about februray 5/ 6 years ago, I also refused to be my cousins best man because Celtic were playing Leeds (i think) 15/ 16 years ago maybe. She would back all that up no problem!

True Taxman mate, Izzy and Kayal are real quality and we will struggle to hold onto them along with Ledley, in a few years. Big Dan should do a job till Wilson arrives and I think Mulgrew is better at CB/ CH than LB! Either that or like Gareth Bale (obciously not in the same class) but better in LM than LB as well. As for you mentionaing Naka, to be honest I wasn't 100% convinced, sure he played some great games and some wonder goals, but alot of games he was a bit too anonymous for me, but maybe I was guilty of comparing him to Lubo too often.

SickBhoy

I agree to an extent about naka and in no way could he compare with Lubo but he was at time a genious and had so much natural talent that I do still hold him in high regard, If he had workrate thrown in with his ability there would be no question that he would be one of the all time greats and we have struggled massively to pose a threat from set pieces since he left, till now with commons delivery. I was talking to the guy that sits with me at the games earlier in the season about how we don't cause teams problems from corners like we used to but commons looks like he could be the answer to that. I am also extremely curious as to what you posted that never got published, guess well never know though!

In response to-

That my friend is called research, people do it to back up their point. Just because you have a Union Jack tatoo and your Mrs has a bulldog one on her forearm does not make you Mr rangers. Your wife probably has more of a shout at being a mister than you have. Learn to read, think of a name then come back with some hard facts and not just juvenile sectarian nonsense. Now please leave us sensible people alone to have a cicilised converstaion, you can go and argue with the speaking clock that it is actually 1690, you brainless tosser.

Research? Is that what you call copying and pasting from some twisted bighots page, well done m8 you should be a journalist. As for attempting to slander me and my wife (who incidently is a catholic and despises football), well that just makes you a complete hypocrite. What exactly is sensible or civilised about slagging off someones wife? What exactly was sectarian in my post? I don't claim to be "Mr. Rangers", was only stating that perhaps you should put some effort and "research" into your own team instead of highlighting every minor fault in Rangers. Like someone already mentioned, i could sit here and pick holes in your original statement but to be honest i can't be arsed because, regardless what i or anyone else says, your still gonna be sitting with your green tinted specks on copying and pasting propaganda (aka drivel) from people, like yourself, who seem intent on running Rangers down rather than commenting on there own team. Get a real life m8. PS. . . . i actually have a brain so needless to say i don't have any Union Jack or Bulldog tattoos, im a proud and true Scotsman??

Well done Ed. There is no doubting that a good amount of editing is required. I don't envy you the task. Ok, some innocent comments might be unfairly edited (I understand not being able to comprehend all of the language used. .I'm not even sure that I do at times!) but better that then letting something dangerously offensive through!

Out of interest, do you need anything like the same level of editing with any of the English club pages?

Atheist {ed's note - not really, not in comparison to the number of posts sent in, no, nothing like.}

Give me the job, i'll sort them out lol. All I personally look for is manners, respect and common decency. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, as long as it is valid and comprehensible, the Eds don't need to agree, but at least put your opinion across with some respect, their jobs up here must be a nightmare! Oh and one more thing, I find posters who put a name seem to instigate more debates and are more respected on here. Use a nickname (like mine) , a football related one or what ever, but IMO you will enjoy the site more if you are a known poster with whom people can trust to have a sensible conversation with. If you have the guts to post, at least have the guts to give yourself and use a name! Right Ed I think that's plenty of me waxing lyrical about you lot for one night, back to the football eh?

GTID posted "were being investigated for the amount of tax we paid not for tax evasion this in itself shows u up as a moron".

Your incorrect GTID. The tax that Rangers have paid was through the PAYE system that all income tax gets paid through by all companies. It is not this that is under investigation.

Rangers registered with HM Revenue & Customs for what Rangers would call a Tax Mitigation scheme, and that is what is under investigation. It's completely separate from PAYE. Any Tax Mitigation scheme has to be registered separately with HM Revenue & Customs, which in this case would mean Rangers having to register it. Generally the company registering for it have been advised that it is a way of mitigating their tax liability, which in effect means they don't pay any tax. The risk is that the use of this system relies on using loopholes in the tax system. As you can imagine, HM Revenue & Customs hate such schemes and they term them as Tax Evasion. As such Rangers are being investigated for what HM Revenue & Customs suspect as Tax Evasion.

Izzy and kayal are celtics best players since henke left with the exception of maybe naka, hooper and stokes have proved to be good signings too, ledley has been solid, juarez haven't seen enough off, commons looks like will be the final piece of the jigsaw! Big Dan is ropey and Murphy rank but two bad signings out of 9 isn't bad, also not mentioned cha and mulgrew who have both played important part so far thus season so I'm more than happy with the Ginger guardiolas signings, we are playing fantastic now and long may it continue. Hail Hail

THAT was not research. Research, usually, provides sources. I could spend the next half an hour picking through each and everypoint you have made. Most of it is hear-say and you seem to have surmised a lot of salient points. But, hey. .why let the truth get in the way of a story huh? Do you, by any chance, read Phil McIllivan's blog?!

Can we discount your iffy 9 in row? After all it did cost an SFA supremo to lose his job for deliberate and blatant cheating toward Celtic? Oh I must have imagined that, as we Celtic fans all have a chip on our shoulder! Why didn't David Murray spend double what Celtic have over the last few years? Was that another lie? What happened to filling the corners of LegoLand with seats? Surely not another lie? Why can't Rangers afford to repair and upkeep the screens they fitted instead of chairs? Why didn't Rangers fans spend money and buy shares to help finance the club during the share issue. Why are Rangers one of the most hated team/ fans, not just in Scotland but European wide. Why did Rangers blame Chelsea fans for their own fans disgraceful behaviour in Manchester, who did you blame for Barca in 72, Madrid fans? What happened to the "super casino", 5 star hotel etc that was being built at the piggery? That can't surely have been a lie as well. Why do Rangers fans show their allegiance to one of the most hated men in football, hence embaressing any decent Rangers fans amongs them. Who told Ally he would be next manager, all the while beging for anyone to buy the club. No businessman would accept a deal that would force him to work with someone who wasn't his choice. Why did Rangers commit a criminal offence by avoiding paying tax. How much money did it take to pay off Polly Gwen and his bus load of an entourage. Why did no one at Rangers offer to help Fernando Ricksen when it was so obvious he needed it. Why did Marco Negri miss half a season after beingstruck on the eye with a squash ball? Who at Rangers sanctioned the signing of Daniel Prodan, Philip Sebo, Erik Bo Andersan, Jeremy Clement, Bert Kunterman ( a guy that said his mum taught him how to play footabll) Dave McPherson, Colin Hendry, Stephan Guivarch, Julien Rodriquez, Andy Webster, Antti Niemi, Letizi, Charbonnier, Frank De Boer, Peter Van Vossen, Gary Bollan, Alex Clelland, Christain Daly, Franny Jeffers, Porrini, Clayre Reyna, Ted McMinn, James Beattie, Egil Vanoli, Vignal Nuno Capucho, Emerson Ostenstad, Oleg Salenko, Jonas Thern, "Joke" Bjorklund, Gordon Petric, Marcus Gayle, Clement, Micheal Ball, Kyle Laugherty, El Hadj Duff, Jelavic (abysmal scoring record), Oh and how much per game did Seb Rosenthal cost the club? If Rangers are such a successful and world renowned club why it only a lifetime Motherwell fan ( with a string of failed business ventures behind him, including his own personal tax problems) and a property developer from London who have shown any interest. So you keep spewing your sectatian rants at games and continually put of investors with the image your poisonous fans continually portray. Roll on the tax investigation, administration and a point deduction. No one to blame but your criminal chairman and constant dodgy deals with unscrupulous agents and cutting corners to acheive your aim. Kind of takes the shine of your "amazing" achievements of winning meaningless trophies" It's a poor day when all ou can attract is that scembag Diouf and an over the hill sectarian bampot! Don't know one single fan who has any sympathy for your prediciment, hopefully the law will do it's job and make an example of yourselves, they are hardly going to do it with a big, well respected club!

You should get out more m8, seems like you have devoted your life and brain cell to Rangers for some strange reason which seems rather embarrasing for a Celtic fan, or maybe you still live at home with mummy n daddy so you have lots of free time to enhance your overwhelming resentment to the WORLDS MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUB, the BRITISH ESTABLISHMENT, the QUINTESSENTIAL BRITISH CLUB that is GLASGOW RANGERS! Oh i can feel your green blood boiling from here, or is it really blue? ha ha ha ha!

Baz, brown likes a wind up most of the time, so does diouf, but i think with what diouf said to jamie mackie, a scotland team mate of scott browns, that brown was always going to give him pelters, as for neil lennon, the sectarian hatred this man has to take in this country is what is embarrassing.

Celtic more illustrious than Forest? No question. We didn't sign Jason Lee! Or Silenzi! (for gawds sake. . nobody mention Wayne Biggins. . damn!)

As for Lenny's signings? Very impressed. Good young players mostly, not overly expensive and seem to enjoy playing together! Hopefully he can keep the team together, but if English clubs want to come sniffing, I hope we hold out for the best deal possible (the English seem happy to chuck vast sums at each other for sometimes very ordinary players so why not for good players in Scotland?)

Baz the bear. .your gona be asking lennon round to your abode for sunday lunch next

Na not sure i could do that without spiking his dinner im afraid. Dont want to make the forums a daily love in between Rangers n Celtic fans just think some of the stuff on both pages is getting a bit OTT and even personal. Nothing wrong with the usual banter and, like i said in my post, i have been guilty of some nasty s**t too but some of its getting hysterical. For the record, i think Brown n Lennon have lacked class and respect with the whole Diouf baiting situation, couldnt see Weir n Smith acting like that and if they did i would be pretty embarressed.
